They serve 4 types of chutney and 1 sambar as shown in pic it tastes as good as it looks .

These are must to try there. Sambar is ultimate with coconut chutney. Wow. Best place to eat idly. Really very very soft.

Again, this review is for a Swiggy delivered order. Had white paniyaram and podi dosai, with the usual 4 types of chutneys. Dosai was packed into a small rectangle. 😀 It would've been even tastier if it was hot. I'll rate packaging as average with no spoons provided.
Ordered 3 podi idly and one onion podi uthapam. The service was prompt and staffs were friendly. The air conditioning was perfect tempra. The food contains lot of ghee and butter , may not be a helathy option
Being from Mumbai..the taste and texture of the food is what is most appreciated..so all the 4 stars are for the food because it is super amazing! Specially Idli! So soft! And one less star coz i didn't get to eat medu wada as it was finished..
Murugan idli shop is one of the famous tiffin centers, originated originally from Madurai about 30 years back. It was a small shop in the busy streets of Madurai . I used to admire the taste that time itself. Now it has emerged as chain of restaurants. This branch is really serving soft idlis. , With nice smbar and varieties of chutneys. Taste is authentic. Podi idly is a special item, which one should never miss. Other that, they serve Chakra Pongal , Carrot Halwa, milk halwa and cheese paniyaram as desserts. I enjoyed the taste of these desserts as well. If you visitValasaravakkam , make it as a point to visit Murugan idli shop.
Podi Idli is too good.. can't even find whether idli is in podi or podi is n Idli and Ghee is in podi or podi is n Ghee.... Any how loved it...

Food over here is really good..Butter idli with karam is nice..Even dosa are good.one should give a finishing touch with jigar thanda..

Delicious and tasty foods are served instantly. It is hot and hygienic foods are served.
Serving staff are polite, warm and courteous to the customers.
Rates for the foods are reasonable and ok when compare to the quality and other restaurants.
Limited two wheeler parking space is available.
Amazing food....Do try ghee podi idli
Good place to have Idli's with 4 or 5 variety of chutneys. Other items are okay to eat, tastes same as other vegetarian restaurant. Good thing is we get homely feeling. Their Jigarthanda tastes very good, but too sweet. They have dedicated parking in front of the restaurant for two wheeler and cars (maximum 2 ) can be parked adjacent to restaurant.
A good premium South Indian restaurant for those who crave the taste. Everything served here is on the pricey side though.
The Jigarthanda of this group still remains one of the best I have ever had!!
The parking area is very cramped and could be an issue during your visits on the weekend
