Visiting this place since from my childhood. This place been the king of coffee. Every one who comes to Marina will definitely try their coffee. This has been ruling the broadway for more than a decade.

The rating is just for the coffee. Whenever I go to parrys, this where I go for coffee. They add a little decoction on the froth of each cup of coffee. It gives a little fizz when you sip.
Well, this isn't the place where you'd get the quantity of food worth your money unless you order Unlimited Meals.
Had a plate of parotta cause it was too late to have meals, and I was disappointed with the size. It wasn't enough to satisfy the hunger pangs of a ten year old. For 50 bucks a plate, you'd find nearby restaurants offering more than Hot Chips.
When it comes parrys shopping or visit, the lunch is at Hot Chips. The service is so fast that will fulfil your starveness. Tamrind rice with curd Chilli is my all time favourite.
This is one restaurant very famous in parrys area.
If u come here try their meals for lunch and South Indian items.
Not adviced to try their North Indian items, which u may like or sometime dislike...
In eve you get pav bhaji which is very good...
And you will find crowd at tea and coffee counter anytime.

This place is close to my office, and believe me, I feel blessed to have this place close by. It makes for an excellent, much required 10 minute walk through the heart of the market area, and arriving there makes you feel like you've earned it.
OK, so the best filter coffee in chennai. Very good snack items and chats. We also get parcels from there regularly for meal times. They have a very vast variety of veg food available on their menu. And mostly they don't disappoint.
Good food. Good service. Can have chat items, simple tiffens, degree coffees and tea.
Good south Indian pure Veg food. For their cost and quality, quantity is higher than their peers.
South Indian breakfast at this restaurant was a delightful.The idlis were incredibly fluffy and had a delicate taste. They were served with sambar and a range of chutneys, including coconut chutney, tomato chutney.
I have been a regular customer of this branch of hot chips for about 20 years now.
I can see the quality of food has deteriorated over the years. However, the quality of coffee is still the same. I love the coffee here so much that I travel about 10-15 kms once a week just to have the coffee.
Since it is opposite to Chennai high court finding a parking spot during peak working hours would be next to impossible
This place has parking on the road which is usually full even during off peak hours. However, during off peak hours it is easy to find parking spot a bit away (within 100 metres radius) from the restaurant .
90 % of food quality is good and authentic South taste , 10% of food is I guess prepared by North Indian cook, I request restaurant should carefully look in to this matter.
Had my own lil experience of Chennai’s heritage with filter coffee at this Hot chips. What’s so special about it ? Well it’s housed in one of the iconic Indo Saracen buildings that are the crowning jewel of Broadway.
If you need decent hygiene standards , stay away . If your immunity is Chennai bred , then the food won’t harm you . 😁
