Good food & quality also good
Awesome Andhra meals. Loved it.
Simple and tasty Andhra food. Quick and a sumptuous meal! Easy on the pocket also! Highly recommended
My FAV FAV place. It's located in just a walkable distance from the place where I work more than that it's centrally located at the TTK road. Authenticity, one word I could describe for. Tasted this spicy Andhra mutton biryani, along with the friend of mine ordered full meals. It's literally a filling meal. We had no space after this ultra heavy lunch. Absolutely amazing food rightly served with Andhra's spiciness!!
Lively food and friendly service. This is one of the last bastions of the 90s era andhra joints. Crowd is reduced to a loyal following now. But food is amazing. Loved the gongura chicken and podi dosas. Their idlis were nice too. The veg meals were quite filling too. Reasonably priced also.
Amaravathi is a name which is super popular amongst people who love Andhra cuisine and basically South Indian cuisine itself. Simple ambience, elegant and delicious food and great staff. All this put together is Amaravathi. My favorites are
1) Korameenu Vepudu- Murrel fry
2) Natu Kodi(Chicken) Dosa
3) Mutton Biryani
4) Prawn Pepper Fry
Try these dishes in the exact order and you’ll be going on about it for days. Just like the person typing this review 😂❤️ People feel it is slightly expensive but it is simply one of the best South Indian cuisine restaurants in Chennai.
I really wanted to write a review for this place because the reviews here are quite confusing and misleading.. as tourists and seafood lovers, we were looking for a nice place for home like food.. we went to Amaravathi and were very pleased with our choice.. the food is delicious and the service is awesome.. not only is the service very prompt but the staff is very pleasant.. my mom was really craving crab but it was apparently not available here, the manager (unfortunately I did not get his name), went out of his way and got us crab from coastline (a sister concern upstairs).. the staff was really making all the efforts to make us comfortable, especially since we were not familiar with a lot of the food items.. each and every thing that we ate was fresh and tasty and I 100% recommend Amaravathi..
Craved for a non veg thali and biryani yesterday and here I was today. The thali and biryani took around 30 mins to get to the table which was quite a wait. Same goes for the juices as well! But then the food made up for it. Delicious meals and spicy biryani 😍 along with roast chicken, ginger chicken.
Taste the authentic andra food while being in Chennai.....
Food is served on plantain leaf and they keep serving serving and serving.... Until u really want to stop...
They serve the gravies in kutti buckets... Which is lovely and pick anything from the menu and it ll be worth the try...
Keep ur spice level up to try this place. If u can't spicy ones.. this is not place for you...
Unlimited meals and you can opt for extra options.
If you are looking for best lunch near alwarpet side.. this is the best choice ...
This upscale restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience with exquisite flavors and impeccable presentation. While the prices lean towards the higher side, the quality of ingredients and the skillful preparation make it a worthwhile indulgence for special occasions.
I revisited amaravathi after 4 years and my experience is still holding good
I had chicken biryani, Andhra chicken and amaravathi chicken. Three were tasting good and little on the Spicier side.
Biryani is my fav of all
Service is simply awesome
We also got a complementary sweet which is really yummy
Expected very spicy food from a Hyderabadi restaurant, but it was ok . Had their non veg meals which was fine. Prawns fry was not upto mark.
Curd rice was nice.
Placed in a very good location one has to say. And the name Amaravathi itself pulls the crowd. Meals stands out at this place. Chicken biriyani tasted real good. Mutton Biriyani was more of Tomato Rice which was disappointing with only 1 pieces and one was more of bone than flesh. Service was good. Ambience good as well. Valet parking available. Has entrance from various directions and path to restroom is no less than a maze.
A Small Request: We are responsible for our Actions. Lets be mindful in all our actions, kids observe and pick the wrong stuff quickly from elders.
Excellent andhra restaurant to try at city. Unique by their service and menu.
Friendly customer service and wonderful ambience.
Best andhra restaurant even the price is little high but it is worth to try. Highly recommend to all. You can get good car parking and try buying the snacks and sweets too.
Traditional and old restaurant, which serves Andra Pradesh menus. Most of the items are spicy and often heat our body. The taste is very good and staff are very happy to serve the customers. Good place to enjoy non-veg food with family.
Located in Cathedral road is this popular Andhra style restaurant. I was informed that all the items on the menu will be served Andhra style. They serve both vegetarian as well as non vegetarian cuisines. They open at 7pm in the evening. The interiors as well as ambience were impressive. The restaurant is divided into plenty of sections, hence plenty of seating options. They also have an ice cream parlor attached to the place. The Andhra style special thali was served on a banana leaf. They charge Rs. 220 for the thali, found it to be quite reasonable. The taste was good. Service was quick. One of their sections in under renovation. They accept NFC payment methods also. Overall a good eating experience.
The best place to have some traditional andhra foood. Phenomanally tasty. Must try. A but overpriced but worthy. We had their meals, omelette and brain. Brain was soft and supple.Meals was a 10/10.their quality reflects in their food.
A nice place to eat on an Sunday. Andhra meals is the best thing to order here. A must try place.
Nice place to have food and good ambiance !
