This is the second time I’ve ordered from this hotel . Unlike the other hotels that runs in the night this one is. They’ve an unique taste while comparing to the others especially chicken fried idly people must definitely try that one it was way good and two person can eat one . Taste - quantity and quality - cost all we’re appreciable😊😊

Late night dinner ? I mean really late in the night, not the 11:30 pm types. If you're thinking 1 AM and beyond, you can be assured of getting good food at Midnight Express, TTK Road, Alwarpet.
Yes, it is expensive, but given their usp of serving at that time of the night, I wouldn't mind.
Order- a plate of idly with veg gravy, a plate of idly and mutton paya, 2 chicken Kari dosai, 2 egg dosai, 2 kalakki.
Taste was pretty good though that's not the chicken Kari dosai I would expect.
Paid close to 1200 bucks, pretty good!
Best place for late night eats... If u are eggterian .. u can pick pipping hot hot idly with egg curry which ll take off you.. if you request them they ll serve inside the car and service is awesome....
Their hot parathas also worth a try.

If you get hungry late night and most of the restaurants are closed then this place will come to your rescue... This place is opened untill wee hours of morning... In fact they start getting crowded after 11pm...
Never been inside so cannot comment about the ambience... We park the car outside and eat in the car... I have been here few times and this place has not disappointed me yet...
The people working here are sweet and give you excellent service... Order is taken in the car, hot food is served in the car... They also bring a water bottle near you car to wash the hands... Impressive customer service....
The menu is simple... Most of the times you dont need a menu as the people will tell you whats the best dish to order...I have had their parotta, dosa, idiappam, mutton keema, veg kurma and nalli kozhambu... Mutton nalli is awesome... Goes well with dosa and parotta... Their kotthu parotta is also nice...

Nice food but ambience is not very impressive so is cutlery. Food was pretty good as they serve what they are good with and Mutton paya is their signature dish
You wouldn't expect anything from the name Midnight express. I can say best cult restaurant this is ! You can go through just few varieties in the menu, the taste would be traditionally awesome. Best for Mutton nalli kulambu
This place is the best example of "Don’t give people what they want, give them what they need." They do meet your need when you are left with no option. That's the speciality of this place. They serve good food however the place is quite small... Which doesn't matter of course. I hope they expand it and make it big. Who knows it might turn out be the best night hangout place. I checked in on my way to mylapore from cmbt. Found no place opened or either almost close and midnight express quenched my hunger. A genuine thanks.
If it's late and you want to have some good south Indian non vegetarian food then this is definitely worth a try. Our usual dining place after a night show. Their paya and fish curry is very good. Service is quick and good. Small seating arrangements but food being served in car is even more comfortable. If only they could provide food for people who come in late after midnight during weekends this place would definitely be recommended.
Had dinner with cousins....we had Kal Dosa,Kheema Dosa,Egg Dosa and Egg Parotta......it was around 12am when we ate.....food was nice....quick service.....the place was neat....nice ambience...rates were reasonable enough....a good place if u wanna have late night dinner...
Best budget friendly midnight food place. I tried multiple dishes here everything is good and their service is very fast with good taste.
Over all very satisfied visit with family everyone loved the food

Nice place for some south Indian non vegetarian dishes. Their known for their egg dosas and other breakfast dishes. Biriyani is mediocre
Food is awesome. Limited dishes..a Lil bit high priced but manageable..dine in needs to improve. .could feel the smell of old curtains an furnitures..and no pleasant feeling ..rather I sit in my car dine n go..out..else all is good
Very good taste ..dine in available till 2AM. Located in the prime area. Ambiance is kind of okok.. nothing fancy.
This one restaurant is always there for you when every other restaurant ditches you. You would never sleep starving at night.

Small dining. Don't look for any ambiance and coziness. Quantity and quality is good. South Indian dishes are spicy and tasty. Our waiter was not aware of menus. Bill was also mixed up. Three and half for food and half for late night availability and safety for family.
Best place to have south Indian food at midnight. The ideal time to go there would be after a few beers with friends. The dosa with fish gravy is a must try. The service is super fast. The place sometimes tend to get a little crowded. The biryani is just average. The chettinadu prawns is just too good, ask them to make it extra spicy. The price is not too costly. Best is to go as a group.
One of the best quick bites I have seen in Chennai. Very fast & 1 roll is more than enough for a dinner. You get to choose Parotta roll or Chapathi roll provided you ask the same, by default it's Parotta roll. Will cost 100/- change for a quick supper
Chettinadu and Chinese dishes available, no complaint all taste best. Chicken kothu must try.
