I have visited this restaurant since my childhood.
I can say the food is top quality here and the service too.
From north Indian to South Indian they have a great variety.
The food is costly, but definitely worth it.
The tomato soup is favorite for me here.
Sangeetha is in my wishlist when I feel like having dosa. Especially their Day's Special dosa. Team served yum yum peas dosa. Amazing peas masala with good aroma stuffed well with hot crispy dosa.

SVR, guindy is my food joint, while on my wheels via Grand trunk road, usually south bound by road early morning. I manage parking so well in the busy route, with the blessings of TN traffic police, who are helpful within the rule book.
Pongal, Idli and vada are my favorite here. Filter coffee at its best, when it is strong to help pump the car’s pedal rest of the day 😉
Food and ambience is good. But staff has to be more friendly and prompt at getting the orders. No one bothers if the guest has finsihed their dish or not.

The best south indian breakfast I have had in a long time. It was fresh, clean and served with a lot of love. We just went for one dosa each but ended up eating masala dosa, plain dosa, idli, vada and filter coffee.
Second time, we went to their ac restaurant upstairs. The person was really rude but the food was good.
Excellent place for authentic south Indian food. I won’t mind saying that they make one of the best Dosas in Chennai! Super preparations.
Sambhar and other chutney are averaging above normal. They are good.
Idli and Medu Vada in the morning are truly a special treat.
They don’t offer it dipped in Sambhar as usually I like. It took a while for them to understand and arrange for a bowl with sambhar :)
Coffee is definitely better than usual outlets in Chennai. Though it is not as good as the Street Side Coffee in certain parts of Chennai but is above average.
Being close to Guindy Metro is a big advantage.
Give it a try at any time and I can assure you- you will enjoy a lot.
This is The Place for South Indian food connoisseurs like me who are travelling to Chennai.

Good taste. Not like those days of 2010.. Now it is well maintained and staffs are good mannered.. Only negative is the food cost.. Not worth for that much price.. Could be 50rs lesser for each food.
We had tried this restaurant for authentic south Indian breakfast and they served the yummiest breakfast I have tried on this trip.The place is neat and clean.Staff is humble and courteous. Taste is top notch. BEST Place for vegetarians.
Visited this place as i heard it's one of the best place for breakfast in Chennai. My expectations were really matched. More than the food, the service we were rendered from Baikkai Raj was simply amazing. He made us feel homely and was quite soft spoken. Coming to the food, i ordered Mini Tiffin which was suggested by Baikkai Raj and I loved the taste of Pongal and second comes Mini idly was dipped with Sambar and seemed like it was touched with ghee. Dosa was quite plane and Tea was a bit bitter but over-all it was amazing

Non ac hall is congested.

One of my favorite dining veg restaurants in chennai. If im passing by Guindy during evening times I definitely stop by for a plate of hot bonda and a tea/coffee. If it's lunch time then I definitely stop for a meals. Dinner time idly definitely and then go for some variety of dosa
Delicious and hygienic food available for a very pocket friendly cost.
We ordered the unlimited thali as we wanted to have authentic South India meal.
Meal starts with a spicy, tangy tomato soup followed with the thali and ending with ice cream
Always my first preference when I am closer to any of this restaurant. They are trying to keep their standards well.
My favourite is their South Indian dishes and especially parotta and kuruma, ghee roast sambar chutneys , yummy! Thank you for doing well and wishing all the very best .
