Enough seatings with decent lights. Tasty food with quick service. This place is a must try. Ordered honey chilli lotus stem, crispy corn pie tee and pandan panner. All of them tasted so good. Lotus stem could have been a little spicy. Pandan panner was hot and delicious and the crispy corn was tasty as well tho the baskets looked little oily, it didn't change the taste in any way. Loved this place, will visit again to try the other dishesđ
The soup (lemon-coriander) was packed with flavors. The starter was unique (some potato Thai one, not quite sure of the name) and the use of coconut milk made it standout. The chilli oil dumplings were okayish. Not very expensive, decent food and an amazing ambience.
The loved the service. Starters were on a sweeter side. It could have been spicy. Manchow soup was perfect. Didn't like the jungle rice as it had no taste. Desserts were superb. Brilliant service.
It was a one of a kind pure veg restaurant specialising in Thai, Japanese and chinese. We ordered pandan paneer which was an absolute delicacy. The manchow soup was pure bliss. The shiitake mushrooms were so perfectly made. The best was the hazelnut praline dessert. A must visit restaurant for all :)

Best Asian Vegetarian Restaurant in Chennai ! We ordered Tom Kha, Honey Chilli Lotus Stem, Pandan Paneer, Glass Noodles, Chocolate Tomb and Sea salt caramel banana toffee . Everything tasted very very good. SooYumm. They offer unique dishes. The ambience is good too. A full 5 star !
The food here is great. I can't think of any item that we ordered which was just mediocre. Service is quick. Great place if you're looking to visit a veg only restaurant.
Went for dinner with family. Had a good time eating oriental food. The menu out there is very simple crisp and specific. Lotus stem is one of the recommended dish and they do keep up standards of taste. On the service front , needs to be more attentive and give some time to decide rather pushing. The jasmine tea served is soothing. Dessert I recommend lichi and rose ice cream.
Totally loved the place!! Food is extremely good and yummy! My favourite dishes were..umm... everything actually đ but just to mention a few, Pandan paneer for the starters, steamed wontons in chilli oil, jungle fried rice is a MUST TRY!! would now go there anytime for a dine in!
So I found this place on Instagram under a friends food blog and drove all the way to poes garden. And I wasn't dissapointed . From the looks of it I could tell that this was a house turned into a restaurant just like Amelie's which is also right around the corner. So I went in and got myself a table. The staff there were super nice people who explained the new additions to their menu and often came down to my table to ask how the food was. As I was waiting for my order I looked around the place and noticed how this place didn't look like a legit Asian place like benjarong or mainland China but neither did it look like Chao or mamagoto which says that these guys don't make Desi Chinese to cater to Indian tastes . My order arrived a few mins later which consisted of lemongrass soup , flavoured dumplings of some kind , glass noodles , chilled milk with rose essence and hommeade ice cream of the fusion flavour lychee and rose . Like I said earlier the food didn't reek of Desi Chinese one bit and felt very homemade but in a good way. The dumplings and the soup were good and filling , I told the waiter that I wanted something not too filling for my main course and that j didn't want any sides with the noodles , he was kind enough to add some extra flavour to my noodles which he told me beforehand , the noodles wasn't great but it tasted good for sure . The rose milk I sipped in b/w was great but the only difference from a packaged one was that it had those floating bubble things . The dessert however was really good , the ice cream was hommeade and it tasted like that too . Now I'm no vegetarian and this place strictly is . Now anyone who's starting a Chinese place would know that without nv it's not gonna work , but this place does work for some reason. In short it's a " eat healthy" Asian spot which has good stuff on the menu which the good hospitality at the place helps you pick. Oh yeah , and the pricing was decent too.
Amazing East Asian veg food. Do try the pandan paneer and fried honey lotus stem. Their steamed buns are to crave for ( caution, only for those with the taste for it). Couldn't try their Japanese food as their chef was on leave that day. but do look forward to it the next time.
A proper, authentic experience. The waiters were quite professional. As I don't have much expertise in eastern dining, they explained the dishes and taste with patience, recommended according to my palate. A meal for five cost us around 2.5k. Good place for family. Go only if you want to taste something different. No "Indian" dishes available here.
Eastern Wedge is a Vegetarian Asian Restaurant serving authentic Thai, Malaysian, Japanese and Chinese Cuisine all under one roof, like never before. It is Vegan friendly as well. They focus on both, traditional and contemporary cooking styles, to delight our taste buds. Also, they pay attention to every tiny detail from the ingredients to the presentation to taste.
As we were a group of 8-9 people, we tried a wide variety of their appetisers, main-course and desserts. Everything was equally good and appetising.
Kushiyaki:
A Japanese delicacy where in the Veggies are skewered and grilled over charcoal fire.
We tried Mushrooms, cauliflower, broccoli, corn, zucchini, and capsicum. Their house special includes green bell-peppers and eggplant. These were all mildly seasoned and served with 3 delicious dips (Miso, Wasabi, and Kushiyaki Sauce).
Every bite was too good. Never expected Veggies to taste this good. Very surprising.
Spinach Dumplings:
Oh boy! This was extremely good. Delicate as flower on the outside and flavourful on the inside. Definitely my favourite. This was served on a bed of carrots.
Glutinous rice wrapped in Lotus Leaf:
This was beautifully done and presented so well. Loved the sticky rice and it had a very smoky flavour to it. First of its kind that I had tried and I absolutely loved it.
BBQ Mushroom Buns:
Such thick and soft outer layer holding in some delicious mushroom filling. This was super filling and quite heavy. It also had a bit of sweet flavour because of the sauce.
Glutinous Rice Shumai/ Siu Mai:
A very traditional Chinese style dumpling made with sticky rice and minced vegetables. Too good and yummy.
Pandan Paneer.
Paneer cooked to perfection and wrapped in Pandan leaves. These leaves are used for flavouring purposes. The Paneer was so soft and succulent.
Tempura Veggies:
Veggies in some delicious tempura batter made in house. They use high quality and tasty bread crumbs which are imported. There were mushrooms, corn, broccoli, eggplant and capsicum. Not oily one bit.
Schezwan Shiitake Mushrooms:
Definitely one of the best. Loved the mild spice. It was absolutely mouth-watering and finger licking good.
Chanko Nabe:
Udon noodles, assorted veggies and broth of our choice (Tomato, Miso and Soy). We opted for Miso. This was definitely the highlight of the meal. First of its kind for me. I loved the mild flavoured broth. The veggies and noodles were too good.
Lotus stem:
Super crunchy with a yummy sweet flavour to it. So good that I wanted more of it.
For the mains, we ordered Jungle Fried Rice, Ginger Capsicum Noodles, Eggplant and Chilly Paneer.
Jungle Fried Rice:
It is one of their specials and was so perfect with the gravy. Loved its colours and flavour.
Ginger Capsicum Noodles:
Mild ginger flavour added a great punch to the Noodles. Loved it too.
Chilly Paneer:
Always a favourite. Very delectable. Such huge chunks of Paneer. Not watery.
Eastern Wedge Eggplant:
Felt like slicing a piece of grilled fish. Looked so much like it but tasted wonderful.
Try the following for beverages:
Nutty milo: Something to die for. Nothing like before. A beautiful blend of Peanut Butter and Milo.
Fresh lemongrass cooler: Very refreshing and tasty.
Mandarin and Basil Spritzer: Too strong but not bad.
Rose Milk: A classic! Made very well.
Virgin Baileys: Yummy is the word you guys.
For the desserts, we tried:
Sesame balls stuffed with Red Beans and served with a scoop of Vanilla Ice-cream: Oh boy! I couldnât stop with one bite. Such a perfect combo.
Sea-salt caramel banana toffee: Took me to my seventh heaven. A perfect blend of caramel and banana, serve in a cute jar.
Praline noisette delice: A Chocolate loverâs dream. It melts in the mouth quite literally. Looks too appetising.
This place is one of the best Asian Restaurants that I have been to lately. You will not meat after munching on these lovely delicacies.
Itâs time to take a break from all that spicy food and experience the wonders that these vegetables do, with each being so delectable and flavourful.
This place has some really good vegetarian food, every single dish is prepared with impeccable attention to taste. Good place for some amazing food.
One of the best Pan Asian restraunts. Another house-turned restraunt to the ever expanding collection of Namma Chennai. Shandan Paneer, Kishi Yaki some of the must try dishes. Service was quick and very customer friendly.
Though I'm not a vegetarian food fan, I have been pulled in here by my wife who doesn't eat non veg..
I tried fried paneer, veg bun, noodle soup and sesame ball dessert.. The paneer was wrapped in Banana leaf and fried, it was amazing, to me it tasted like non veg, yes I loved it.. The buns were amazing too and felt filling.. The dessert was very tasty I had to fight with my wife and kid to get a bite..
Great place for Asian Veg food food in Alwapet. Near the Russian centre, very helpful staff and tasty Asian food. It's most authentic but the spice levels have been adjusted keeping the Indian palate in mind so you won't find the food bland. Eaten here 3 times and enjoyed it each time. They will make adjustments to the dishes to suit your needs. Must try the Thom kha soup, mandarin basil spritzer and the shiitake mushroom fry. Also enjoyed the Asian glass noodles.
Located very close to Russian Cultural center and very easy to spot so you won't find hard to locate this. Have ample of parking for both cars and bikes. Ambience wise I'll say it has very good ambience and ample of seating. We visited this at 7:30pm during Sunday so not much of crowd was there. Service was prompt and good. It's pure veg Chinese restaurant so will be heart breaking for non veg lovers and heaven for veggie lovers. Menu is Little bit expensive side but it is expected, rate is as per location and service so no complaint with that. Food quality was good and we really enjoyed our dinner time. So altogether 4 star for that.
My husband and I went there this evening for the first time. Both food and service are impeccable. I hope they maintain the taste and service levels after the initial euphoria. Will strongly recommend the place to those who crave for vegetarian pan Asian food in a vegetarian set up.
Amazingly yummy food. Very good service and lovely ambience. I would have given 5 stars if not for the dessert which disappointed us. But I can confidently say I haven't had such tasty food for a very long time. :)
I had 1 Dan Dan noodles & 1 sweet & sour pineapple take away, both the dishes i enjoyed, service was excellent, food is vegetarian & cooked with hygiene, they welcome you & take good care while you are at their restaurant. Do visit. Only 1 suggestion, since I was a single person, the quantity was more, if I had an option to choose half portion of the item ordered I would have been happy, I wasn't able to complete it as a single person.
