Hotel Sadar at Royapettah high road in Chennai is one of the oldest and memorable hotel in Chennai. Now we have 3 generations of our family visiting this restaurant and they still are maintaining their taste and quality. Staff and owners are friendly and everything remains the same as it was for the last 25 years. My favourite dishes here are parotta and butter chicken curry (chicken is roasted) and is rich with cashew and grapes. Chicken fried rice is awesome here. One should also try the appam and paya curry. If you are visiting plan to be on foot or an auto/bike. Finding a car park is next to impossible. It is worth all the effort for the good food and memories. Will always visit.

Food here was amazing The chicken biryani was very good Parotta with fish gravy is must try.. Chicken tandoori was so tender and flavourful Mutton pepper fry is meaty no bone and less spice for me The meal should end with a tea The only problem here is parking and tables there could be more tables because there was wait in line The food was in budget compared to other restaurants

One of the famous briyani in Chennai. My favourite is their Muhalai Mutton Biryani. I tried their Karaikudi chicken, it was served with semi gravy. Enough quantity and the quality of the food is good. Must try restaurant. Also available on Zomato.
