The food was amazing and the varieties of chutneys are really mind blowing . The show stopper is the ghee POdI idly but quite expensive but definitely a must try. POdI ghee dosa was also yum
Tried ghee podi idli and rava dosai. Podi masala is made in such an authentic style. Ghee float added so much flavour. Idli was so soft sponge like. The way this dish was served it made me feel hungry for me. Rava dosai was crispy and it had such a good net formation in it. Mind blowing south indian food. I wish I could have such food everyday.
Had a full meals for a hundred bucks. Worth the money. Please note that their meal does not include chapati/puri. Items were javarsi payasam (sabudana?), Masal vada, appalam, rice, kootu, fried poriyal, one sabji, buttermilk, rasam, karakozambu, sambar and dal. Quite clean ambience with AC and good servers.
For dinner, I had idly with podi (costs extra), 4 types of chutney, sambar, sambar vada, ghee dosa and coffee. All were nice. Coffee had slightly more chicory than my preference.
Best idlies and dosa's in town, nothing can beat the breakfast that you get here and best part is that the quality is maintained all across. Only thing I think they need to work on is to ensure they keep the place also up to date.
The best place in Chennai for Idly. Love the taste of the side dishes. Jigirthanda is another highlight in the restaurant. Staffs are polite and do the best service.

The podi idili was out of the world !! Paniyaram was also great, every dish that you order is very rich in quality

The service is quick and serve sizzling hot food, the Podi Idly, Onion Uttapam and Ghee Sweet pongal is a must try here. The the Jigarthanda is a total finisher that keeps your hunger totally satisfied.
If you haven’t visited this place I’d recommend you to step into one of them.
Overall 5⭐️ for the quality of food they’ve been maintaining from the past years.
Tasty idlies and dosas with very tasty chutneys. I would say this is the one beat place wher you get good breakfast and dinners. I love to eat their idlies with their sidedishes.
The Murugan shop idlis are worth checking out as they serve one of the idlis in town. It would advice anyone visiting Chennai to try out the same.

The food was nothing short of amazing. It was piping hot and served with minimal wait time. The service was excellent. The quantity could have been a little more for the amount listed (especially Pongal). Yet another plus was that there were 4 different chutneys and sambar served with the food I ordered and each of them had a distinct and amazing taste.
loved the food, loved the service. they even suggested us what we can try. very politely and with love they served us the food. Pls make a note... they serve food on banana leaf.. very authenticate. they do have JAIN menu to. To all my JAIN friends a must try.
You should rename this shop as murugan sakkarai Pongal shop.

We came here for our brunch. Whenever we are in Chennai we do come here to eat idli for sure. This time one of the chutney was spoiled so one star less. But rest all was very tasty.
This branch lacks the "standard" atmosphere of MIS group. However it is ok to Dine in, if you are in a hurry and want to have a quick bite.
If you are ordering uthappam or Adai, instruct the waiter to cook / roast it well. I got half-cooked Adai during my last visit.
Parking space is limited to the road-side and hence during peak hours it is a bit difficult to find parking space for cars.
Maintenance is poor. Service is little slow and not that much enticing.

What idlis bvouy! Nice fluffy. The best ive had over India. Masala wada, Medu wada, podi dosa, filter coffee. All superb. This place may be a bit difficult to spot as is a bit on inside. Cheers to good taste!
