I went to Kari Virundhu last week after a couple of years and they have dramatically improved the taste and quality of food . I visited with a Japanese colleague who can not stop eating the fish curry , mutton balls and biriyani. I could feel more authentic sounds th TamilNadu taste and spice in majority of dishes I had .
I would definitely go manytimes and recommend all to try it once .

It was a wonderful experience going to this place, it has friendly staffs, patient and calm atmosphere.
The best part is they can even provide us quality vegetarian food even when the shop known for non vegetarian food and when it comes to that they're simply amazing they have selected special menu everyday (as in whatever is readily available at that moment and that's how they'll call it), it's better to choose from that because it's really a good move or if you can wait for sometime, you can get your own.

Love the food here!! You can get takeout, have the food delivered home or dine at the restaurant. A small place but near and clean with polite staff. The food is just exceptional. They have the best prawn dosa and chicken smashed parotta Iāve ever tasted. The chicken biryani cooked with seeraga samba rice is melt in your mouth good. Perfect amount of spice and packed with tons of flavour! The chicken curry accompanying it is just perfect. Food was cooked well. Really had no negatives. Must try this place. Will visit as many times as possible when Iām in the locality!

I've ordered a fish meals. They provided fishes with all south indian dishes that are to be present in the full nonveg meals. The quantity of rice is enough for one but the complimentary dishes are too heavy.
Kari virundhu, name itself attracted me as being a south indian.went to this restaurant with my japanese associates the food served was mouth watering tasty even the spicyness was much better for our japanese associates.fish curry,kola urundai,biriyani,fish fry everything was fresh and hotly served.
Finally we were recommended "vasantha neer" which is said as signature drink of this restaurant, it was fabulously blend with tender nut,honey and pulp of tender nut very tasty...
Our japanese associate gave his word of tasteness for bringing his other japanese colleagues to this restaurant frequently... thank you buddies of this restaurant for wonderful tasty food...

Best south indian food i had!! Awsome place went with my wife for dinner, both of loved the atmosphere! Staff members were so great! Tried mutton kima, mutton dosa & etc with final touch of falooda!

Frankly I ignored this place many times, n I was so wrong. Firstly I would like to appreciate this place for being open at 11pm in the night. Something u gotta to c very rarely in chennai.
Me n my friends were pretty hungry and nobody was in a mood to search for a restaurant. We just saw this restaurant open n we kicked in. We ordered mushroom noodles and paneer manchurian. Both tasted perfect š, just the way they had to be. The service was also quick and courteous. Pricing was just fine. Want to check in to this place whenever possible to try some non veg.

so i decided to order through online ! the delivery was on time as they mentioned on the site even though it rained heavily.
my order was mutton biryani, chicken lollipop, chicken fried rice and vanjiram fish fry !
i wont say that the dishes were too good ! but still they are good.Ā
mutton biriyani was good and not too spicy !
chicken fried rice is a let down ! wasn't that good ! a bit oily !
chicken lollipop was awesome ! which had nice sweet and spice ! they provide 6 pieces !
the best was vanjiram fry ! which was absolutely delicious !

I had mutton meals and my friend had fish meals. It was good tasty. Better than many highly rated food chains. Mutton chukka was good. Their own drink Vasantha Meet, a tender coconut based juice, was fresh and excellent.
Ordered parota and Madurai mutton masala via zomato. Got delivered in an hour .The packing was Okey . Parotta nd curry was hot as well. Parotta was soft nd good in taste.. mutton kulambu was spicy nd had enough mutton pieces.. Huge in quantity and good in quality.. Need to try more dishes for a better review..

Food: Parota and Madurai Mutton Kuzhambu.
Parota - Medium sized and soft. Provided with salna, which was spicy and went well with parota.
Madurai Mutton Kuzhambu: Spicy thick masala, with well cooked small mutton chunks, which was extremely tasty.
Packaging and Delivery: Order got delivered in around 1 hr, which was OK. Food was well packed and didn't have any spillage.
Quantity and Quality: Quantity of the gravy was more than enough for three people. Was satisfied with the taste and quality as well.
Overall: Happy with the order, yet to try many other mutton dishes and would love to try those from here.

Food was definitely upto the mark. Fresh and delicious. Pepper chicken soup was awesome and a must try dish. Mutton smashed idli had very less mutton but still it tasted very good. Could have avoided adding too much of curry leaves. Definitely worth the money if you prefer good Tamilnadu style dishes
Had a wonderful dinner tonight with my family at this lovely place. Refreshing ambience with the chill view of the arcot road. Briyanis were too good to have and rates of all dishes were reasonable. Service was very attentive and quick enough for all the ordered items. Recommended for guys looking out for a good authentic south indian style non veg food and for guys looking out for an refreshing outing for a weekend with their family n friends. Go n have a gala time out there....
I have been to this restaurant manytimes. But I can see there are a lot of improvements nowadays in food taste. Best place to have meal. I started loving this restaurant after "Oru sooru" restaurant in kodambakkam for complete meals.

Chicken Briyani was accompanied with raita nd non veg sambar. Briyani is good with homely taste. Sambar was also good. No complaints about package. It was hot enough to eat :) thumbs up for Briyani. Pricing of Briyani is decent.
Chicken 777: one of the best starters in kari virundhu. Taste was very good . I liked it a lot :)
Pannapuram Chicken. It has good flavours nd comes as dry gravy. Max 6 to 8 pieces. Quantity was very very less. I would say Pricing for this dish s high based on quantity. Taste was not so great.
Overall, I am satisfied with the Briyani but not pannapuram chicken. I'll definitely try the other starters :)

I got referral from one of my friend regarding Kari Viruthu. I happened to visit the Kari Virunthu Restaurant ā Chennai(Valasaravakkam) last week it was the āin-demandā South Indian Non-Veg eatery in chennai. We a set of 4 people after being in the wait-list for 5 minutes, got a table.
After checking on the menu we ordered quite a few dishes from both starters & Dry to Gravies including Biryani. The food taste and quantity was impressive. The taste of all food felt like we are in traditional restaurant.
The staff service is good and the dessert you get there is also good. Good place to spend the time with family and friends.
