the quality was great... Coming to the taste of the recipes, mouth watering while speaking about those. Great and excellent taste.

We ordered crab soup, chicken 777, egg briyani, crab lollipops, egg parotta, crab soup is very spicy and hot. Egg parotta is vet tasty. Price are reasonable and restaurant looks clean and neat. I will suggest to visit the restaurant if any plan to have dinner in arcot road.

Great in taste. Served on time. Lovely ambience. Great staffs. Definitely worth the money. It is more of like chettinadu type of variety and taste is too good. We had naan and wheat paratta and gravy then thandoori chicken everything was super good. The restaurant can accommodate nearly 40 plus people at a time. Friendly staffs all the food being served hot. Really had a great time. Worth for repeated visit. Next time will try more dishes

Very less parking available, food items are okay. The interior decoration looks good but the sun blinds are very dirty. They more often prefer cash than card.

We ordered chicken pepper fry, mutton kheema chappathi and mutton dosa. All items exceeded our expectations. Finished with sermana charu which was really tasty. Certainly recommend forthose who look for other than run of the mill items.

I went to Kari Virundhu last week after a couple of years and they have dramatically improved the taste and quality of food . I visited with a Japanese colleague who can not stop eating the fish curry , mutton balls and biriyani. I could feel more authentic sounds th TamilNadu taste and spice in majority of dishes I had . I would definitely go manytimes and recommend all to try it once .

Though warned by my friends about notoriousness of this restaurant. I took my chance and went ahead and ordered 'Seeraga Samba Chicken Biriyani' and 'Vasantha Neer' through Swiggy. <br/><br/>The chicken was rotten and foul-smelling, the rice was half-cooked.. Yuck!!.. Just the mere though of that makes my stomach churn. To say the least, this was the worst Biriyani I had ever eaten. <br/><br/>As for the 'Vasantha Neer', contrary to its name, it was bland and tasted like sugar water topped with some mint leaves.. Pathetic.

It was a wonderful experience going to this place, it has friendly staffs, patient and calm atmosphere.<br/>The best part is they can even provide us quality vegetarian food even when the shop known for non vegetarian food and when it comes to that they're simply amazing they have selected special menu everyday (as in whatever is readily available at that moment and that's how they'll call it), it's better to choose from that because it's really a good move or if you can wait for sometime, you can get your own.<br/>overall this place is good and best suited for couples, gang and family.

Restaurant was pointing out at Zomato since the order is "Fulfilled by Zomato".But Zomato can't help on it as usual.They just state usual excuse, "We will perform better, next time".But next time never comes for Zomato.Please don't have hope on estimated delivery time since it's just given for namesake

Love the food here!! You can get takeout, have the food delivered home or dine at the restaurant. A small place but near and clean with polite staff. The food is just exceptional. They have the best prawn dosa and chicken smashed parotta I’ve ever tasted. The chicken biryani cooked with seeraga samba rice is melt in your mouth good. Perfect amount of spice and packed with tons of flavour! The chicken curry accompanying it is just perfect. Food was cooked well. Really had no negatives. Must try this place. Will visit as many times as possible when I’m in the locality!

The crab lollypop was good but could have been better. Chicken dish was average, mutton gravy was decent and crab soup was good. Quantity was just rite, overall a fine order if not expected much in terms of ordering exotic named dishes.

I've ordered a fish meals. They provided fishes with all south indian dishes that are to be present in the full nonveg meals. The quantity of rice is enough for one but the complimentary dishes are too heavy.

I have been to this restaurant since two years regularly. After a break of 6 months I came in to have lunch today. Things didn't seem good even when I entered. It was 2pm and there was just one person sitting. <br/>I ordered for chicken biriyani and mutton Kola. They brought a chicken biriyani with a tiny piece of chicken piece in it, they charge you 170 bucks for it, mind you there is no egg. The supervisor forgot that I ordered mutton Kola. I cancelled it for the negligence and demanded more piece for biriyani, which was given after an apology. Again after apologising for forgetting mutton Kola, they requested me to revert my cancellation, since it was prepared. I did. Finally I had to pay two different bills for the two foods I ordered, with double the service tax , which made me to pay 30 rupees extra. (Please note that the government has made service tax optional in restaurants. It is not mandatory anymore. )<br/>The supervisor was making his smiling apology again. I just walked away. <br/>PS:<br/>If the main chef or regular workers are on leave due to new year, it's better to not run the restaurant with stand by's and create a bitter feeling for customers.

I ordered a chicken briyani.The time when I placed the order was 1:10pm and it got delivered around 2:30pm. As you can see it wasn't untimely or late. But why?? What took you so much time to deliver just one chicken briyani. Okey, okey, they assured me that it will be delivered in 1hour and just took 20 mins late. Seriously I can live that. While placing the order I was in a confusion that what can I order for sidedish And god saved me from another mistake that I didn't order anything. Coming to the food, the food is very mediocre. I placed the order by reading so many good reviews but personally it wasn't a pleasant experience for me at all. Weekly twice or thrice I will order through zomato and this is my first review because the food was very average.. The reason why I gave 2.0 rating is because the packaging was good and the delivery guy was very polite.

I had mutton meals and my friend had fish meals. It was good tasty. Better than many highly rated food chains. Mutton chukka was good. Their own drink Vasantha Meet, a tender coconut based juice, was fresh and excellent.

We had anticipated much from this restaurant mostly because of the name.but that is all it has,only an innovative name.<br/>To begin with the waiter told us to "consult" within our group before we place the order.fair enough. But once we finished consulting the attendant was no where to be found. The food quality was decent at best to uncooked at the worse. It saddens me to say that the soup was the best part of this restaurant which supposedly specializes in chettinad cuisine.

So far, I have tasted dishes once a month in this hotel, First of all Air Conditioners don't work frequently, And response for placed order isn't that much effective, Added to that side dishes were prepared too spicy, Only thing that compromises taste buds is Vasandha neer.

Tried Mutton and Chicken biriyani. First of all, dishes were served in a plastic plate not even with a banana leaf over it. Both mutton and Chicken, were cooked separately and added to respective biriyani's(kuska) by which biriyani lagged the aroma in it. Will not make a mistake by going again.

I have never tasted such a worst mutton biryani in my life. We ordered 2 mutton biriyani for dinner it was really very bad.waste of money.

With my friend am searching hotel to have lunch. when crossed the Valasaravakkam. i saw this restaurant. Went to this restaurant without any reviews from friends. we took risk and went to have lunch there. <br/>It was superb and had nice lunch.<br/>Finished off with Nannari soda and Ginger based drink .<br/>This restaurant has unique dish.<br/>Price is high

below average food, service is fast but food severed was not hot.<br/>We ordered raja virundhu the combo which was definitely not value for money.

Thinking of eating here.. Its a definite NO. <br/>Once ordered a grilled chicken for take away.. Since my kid likes the chicken fully, I asked them not to cut it to pieces... When I went home n cut it, the chicken was cold inside.. Bloody them, gave me previous day's chicken from fridge. Since I was long way from them I wasn't able go all the way back n throw at their faces. Instead gave them to the dogs.<br/>Screw them n their restaurant.. I hope they close it soon when they don bother to provide good food for wat they charge.

Superb chicken meals...all curries were good..way better than Anjappar!! Excellent service too..highly recommended for meals..try their juices ..a different stuff!!

The place opened up quite recently and we have never tried it's food ... So there comes the idea - "it's time to try a new restaurant ...<br/><br/>Kari Virinthu is a restaurant that would not go Un-Noticed. The outlet is located right opposite vasan eye care and has amazing parking facilities. As you walk up the steps, many waiters will be prepared to treat & serve you right! And, the person who attended our table was very sweet and polite. In simple word, "He was just Adorable" ;D...<br/><br/>Well, the ambience is quite disappointing. I could hear my prawn dosa being prepared, back there in the kitchen! Well, this is something they should focus on. And, the tables were quite compact or rather close to one another. I wish they had more space. Nevertheless, I would appreciate them for what they have done with the very little they had :) <br/><br/>We ordered #PrawnDosa #ChillyChickenParota #ChettinadPrawnMasala and #ChickenLappaParotta. To begin with, their #ChillyChickenParota was divine. An amazing dish that brings together different spices and an exquisite Indian taste. Amazing, amazing, amazing, this dish was exceptionally wonderful. Moving on, this was the first time I had #ChickenLappaParotta. It had sliced chicken, cooked with plenty of onions, chilllies and garlic. Luckily, the taste of cooked chicken overhead that of garlic (not a great garlic fan!). And, the parotta was thin, soft and well prepared. Next was their #PrawnDosa.... As the huge, heavy looking dosa arrived at my table I was truly excited to count the number of prawns in it... And trust me, you will find many in this rich, prawn dosa. I would call it rich for the different ingredients it carried. Last but certainly not least, their #ChettinadPrawnMasala was good. Like many other conventional gravies, this dish was commendable but not something you would remember (unlike their #ChillyChickenParotta.. yum..yum..yum).<br/><br/>When it comes to price, I was pretty okay with their -below-500-three-digit-rates! Truly, we spent less than Rs. 1000 on all these scrumptious dishes.. Super-Cool-Right ;) <br/><br/>Would I recommend this restaurant to a friend? Yes, certainly.. And what would I recommend? Well... it is pretty obvious.. their #ChillyChickenParotta with #ChettinadPrawnMasala!

Been there once. Ambience is good. Food typical south indian type did not try the chinese. Food was ok nothing great about the menu. Parking could be a challenge if going by a four wheeler.

I got referral from one of my friend regarding Kari Viruthu. I happened to visit the Kari Virunthu Restaurant – Chennai(Valasaravakkam) last week it was the ‘in-demand’ South Indian Non-Veg eatery in chennai. We a set of 4 people after being in the wait-list for 5 minutes, got a table. <br/><br/>After checking on the menu we ordered quite a few dishes from both starters & Dry to Gravies including Biryani. The food taste and quantity was impressive. The taste of all food felt like we are in traditional restaurant. <br/><br/>The staff service is good and the dessert you get there is also good. Good place to spend the time with family and friends.
