After a long time, Chennai gets a great Kerala Restaurant. Neat and clean, great ambience and good choices on the menu.
The Kerala fish curry meal was superb and the mutton cutlets were soft on the inside and just the right amount of crisp outside.
If you Kerala cuisine, especially from the Malaba
Good place to hang out and taste Kerala food. little bit pricey but ambience is good and they had the best music (Melody).
As we sat, they gave traditional 'Pathimukham' water to drink and raw mango and cucumber soaked in chilli vinegar(🤤) We ordered appam, idiyappam, beef ulathiyathu, chicken stew
I visited Ikkakas and found the experience quite delightful. Had Unnakaya, Pothu Roast, Fish Cutlet, Mutton Samosa, Fish Biriyani, Chapathis, Veg Stew, Raw Mango Kulukki Sarbath, Tresleches and Tender Coconut pudding. All dishes were good and the service too was nice.
Special mention has to be made
I came across this restaurant in Swiggy and ordered their biryani. In the swiggy notes, I requested them to give etc masala and one pappadam. The etc masala that they gave alone could have satisfied my hunger because it was rich in quanitity and taste was also good. And they gave appalam safely pac

Loveeeddddd the Malabar food. Everything I ordered was damn delicious. Would definitely pay another visit and recommend this to all Kerala cuisine lovers. Pricing is apt. Ambiance is decent
One among the well know places for Malabar cuisine. The Kerala parotta is really good. The restaurant is really refurbished well and designed to bring out the Kerala ambient. They can accommodate couples, and groups of even more than 15 people. The coconut icecream is a must try dessert here. Valet

Some places are worth a visit for not just reasons that can be listed, but for plenty more.
This place would make you miss a state such as Kerala and it's rich food cuisine. Because, when the best of food opens up right before you, all you can do is oblige, take it in and drift in the cloud.
P.S: do
A very decent place to have Malabar cuisine. Few of the dishes might disappoint you but overall I had a very satisfying experience. They might also surprise you with complimentary mallu side dishes. We ordered mutton samoosa , pazhampori ,pathiri, ghee rice, nadan chicken curry and a sulaimani. Pazh

Eggless coconut mousse is a must try!
The biriyani is traditional malabar biriyani.
Tasty quality kerala food I have ever seen in Chennai. Far Better than kumarakam Restaurant
My go-to place for home style mallu comfort food. Kanji and chammandi (coconut chutney) used to be staple whenever I fell sick. Im very glad I've found a place that serves food that tastes very close to mom ke haath ka khaana.
