This place is always buzzing. Parking may be an issue as the restaurant is situated between other popular brand stores, and the road is rather small. Look nowhere if you’re looking for traditional South Indian breakfast, or for some evening coffee. You may have to move around, get your table and food. Expect a fast moving crowd. Go there if your intention is to have food.
One of the best South Indian Food I have ever had!

Best tomato soup in chennai. Loved their vegetable biriyani. Fried rice was not that good . Boondi raitha was good with cashew and peanuts

I have been coming here for over 15years and this is our go to family restraint, serving best quality and fresh pure veg food in the town, their filter coffees are a balm to the soul. Makes any day good-one filter coffee!!
This place is one of our get together place for several years. Surprised to see that I haven't reviewed it till now. This place is easy to locate. Parking is available in front of restaurant. If full, can manage in roadside of service road. Ambiance is simple and decent. Service is good. Food ordered came in reasonable time.
In our recent visit, I had palak soup, babycorn Manchurian, honey chilli Gobi, methi roti, kadai vegetable and lemon 🍋 salt soda. Tastewise everything is good. Pricing is reasonable. Value for money 💰.
We have been visiting this place for almost 10 years now and we have completely settled for sangeetha's good food. Making a comparison across their own branches in the city, I personally feel that this branch (Adyar) serves better food than the rest.
The ambience is subtle and restaurant servers are polite. This place has never lost its popularity even after multiple restaurants coming up in neighbourhood.
A big thumbs up and cheers to their good work!!
Our favourite spot for dosas and Pongal and all their amazing food. Excellent sambar..flavourful and full of small onions and vegetables. Fabulous chutneys..only wish that they serve all 3 chutneys with everything..coconut, onion and mint. Oh and wish they would open an outlet in Bengaluru!!!
On the outskirts of Chennai while driving to pondy we stopped at this place for bf. Run of the mill place. Nothing like authentic South Indian except the chutneys and Kappi (filter coffee).
We had dosa, idli and Medha wada. All were good
I had been to this restaurant of a different branch when travelling to Chennai. As I knew this gives very tasty and good food, blindly without a second thought I opted for this while I stayed in Adyar for couple of days. There is a branch in Adyar which is close to shastry nagar.
As expected food was very tasty and staff was very polite.
We ordered tomato soup,masala papad,dal methi,naan,gobi Manchurian.
They provide a snack for all the tables before delivering food.
Little improvement could be made in salad and masala papad, they give only onions.Cucumber and tomato along with lemon could be inlcuded.
MASALA papad was a little oily with huge price.Like it was 60Rs.I felt that wasn't worth of !!!
Rest others were fine and a decent good place in Chennai to visit for veggies apart from Adyar Anand bhavan :-)

I have ordered ghee dosa. Taste is really good. But dosa is small compare to other shops. Sambar not enough.we can eat to taste. Chutney also good to taste.
It's been so long I went here in person and had food as we generally order in. Of course vegetarians love this place and the food is quite good and they have great variety. The North Indian Thali was quite nice - we had mostly north Indian food this time but all of their food is nice in general. The main problem is parking here as during peak hours, there is a lot of rush and though there is valet, it takes time. Service was good and fast
Good food with service and ambience. Visited on Saturday,
They had live music (old Tamil songs) 👏👏👏👌👍.
It was a lovely evening and a good experience.
Panner tikka was yummy. Kadai paneer was good, butter roti was a bit more oily, methi roti on the other hand was a tad too dry.
Limited meals were decent.
We were there for the Onam Sadhya on the 29 th and thoroughly loved it.
Waited upon by a gentleman, who seemed like the owning family by the way he hosted, our Sadhya was a culinary delight.
There was a delectable variety of dishes and he explained each preparation and broadly what it contained.
Delicious, fulfilling and so authentic. It was a one of a kind Onam Sadhya.
For the offering, it s very reasonably priced. We chose this Sangeetha Sadhya over some give star hotel invitations we had and enjoyed it so much!
Busy place. Had breakfast - Puri Vada curry must try. Nice taste
Great Veg food. Both South Indian and North Indian food. Super fast service. Even after 1st day of cyclone impact they serve the very best hot idli, idiyappam. Dosa varieties.
Excellent, tasty food. We had the thali meal which had a lot of variety with both North and South Indian dishes. Service was prompt and courteous. We had to wait for about 10 min to get seated on a busy Sunday morning which wa not bad at all.
Had food many times in this restaurant and it has a good ambience, Both North and South Indian Foods are sooo good and must try place. For Lunch Meals are best option. My favourite food is Paneer tikka and their biryani. Their biryani quantity is more and even two people can eat it. Overall I loved it
