The bhel Puri is yet again a blissful blend of sweet and spice and also to mention that the Pani Puri they serve is also good. Although. I should say the dahi Puri wasn't upto my expectations.. but some may like it.
I wanted to try the cheese pav bhaji cause I had already been blown away by the normal pav bhaji they had to serve the first time.. but the thing is you can't actually find much of a difference between the two.. yet they charge quite a bit more than necessary for that cheese on the bhaji ..

The tastiest chat place in town for Jain food lovers! Their preparation of Jain Pav Bhaji is the best in the city. The place is neat, clean as well as hygienic.

Pizza , veg pulao is good the staff so not that much friendly .take away is available very small sitting place. nice spicy chats are provided but they should maintain a little bit hygienic

This place was a total surprise package.
When we were doing the rounds in Sowcarpet checking out new places, my friend told me "If you want great chat, let's go to Hemant".
The first thing I saw when I walked in was the amount of butter being used to toast ONE pav, instantly I knew I'd have a good food experience.
Started with the Pani Puri, the only Pani Puri that comes even close to Gangotree for me. However, the 2nd time I visited this place, it didn't taste as good.
The Pav bhaji was pretty good. But the butter used was SO much that the pav became a little soggy. I like mine crisp. And guys, I am not exaggerating, you'd use the same amount of butter for a week at home.
The tawa pulao was my pick of the lot. Outstanding!
The flavour, the smell of butter, the mix of spices and the raita made one heck of a combination.
One thing though, I found the flavor and smell of garlic to be on the stronger side in both the pav bhaji and the tawa pulao.
Service is quick, the food is priced reasonably and you'd be lucky to get a table if you go during the peak hours.
If you're a chat lover and you wanna tick off all the best places in Chennai, add this to your itenerary right away.
I went with hardly any expectations, and my first visit to Hemant will be something I'll always remember!
Food: If you are north Indian, you will love food taste here. Spicy tangy tawa pulav, pav bhaji is out of the world and bonzo is also too good.
Not so good in pani puri.
Ambiance is not that good. Best suited for take away food.
If you feel like preparing anything for dinner, just order from here. quick service and easy take away.

Superb tawa pulav , just the smell of it is so tempting.Other items are average.All foodies should definitely try the tawa pulao.Been there multiple times just for that.

We made a sudden visit to this small chat shop in vepery. This was my first visit here after hearing a lot about it.We went directly for the kill Tawa Pulav. From the time it was made in the tawa, we were sure that it is going to be something we were waiting for a long time. Dont miss it if you are visiting here.
Then we ordered some Vada Pav which was okayish. Cheese masala Puff something you should try. They stuff green chutney and cheese inside puff which gives a really different taste.
Their grilled sandwich is also good. There is another visit pending to this place to taste other items and TAWA PULAV again.

Situated near Dowton Signal Vepery, a small chat joint which can accommodate around 10 people. Famous for Chat items, this joint is always crowded as this area is cramped with North Indians. Went around 8 pm on Saturday Night and luckily got a seat. Ordered a Pav Bhaji, Tawa Pulao and a Pani Puri. All the items tasted good and particularly Tawa Pulao was too good to taste.
The Bill came around 130, Good Value for Money.

If you are looking good pav bhaji in Chennai this is your place to have. One of the good place to have sandwiches and pavbhaji and pulao. The place is very small to have dine inn. Takeaway highly recommended.

We've tried their cheese Pav bhaji, bhujiya sandwich, pani puri and bhel puri. Their cheese pav bhaji is their fast selling one and was a good one. Bhujiya sandwich is pretty normal. Coming to bhel puri it was good but very spicy. Pani puri was pretty good
Tried Pani puri and veg cheese pizza. Pani puri was good, but they have to use pizza sauce instead of ketchup and green chutney for pizzas

Small food joint very famous among locals famous for their tawa pulav & pav bhaji, Rs. 75 & extra pav. The pav was perfect with insanely generous amounts of butter & the bhaji and perfectly spiced. Overall food experience was good and pocket friendly
Pav bhaji is really good. Hand wash and seating area could be improved.
Very good variety of chaat and good taste. The sitting area could be cleaner :)
