A legend that still stands tall with unbeatable quality through the ages . The sheer amount of footfall this bakery receives is a validation to my claim. Exciting varieties of bakery products to choose from and that too all fresh and warm.
One will literally be confused to choose amongst the varieties available. Tried the garlic bread and the paneer bun..the freshness of the bun and the stuffing were too good with a subtle hint of spiciness . Then I tried the coconut biscuits . Man was a Ratatouille Moment for me . This place is unmissable when u are at doveton vicinity. Go for it
Very old bakery in Chennai 135year's of business, nearly 35 varieties of biscuits and varieties of cakes, traditional rusk, bun, bread etc with a very reasonable price, very neatly maintained. Please try once and you feel like a heaven.
Highly recommend their plum cakes and biscuits. They are made from recipes passed over generations. The taste of their plum cakes are unique and belongs only to Smith field. Have been visiting them for more than 25 years. Anyone who has loved around Doveton wil have nostalgia memories of visiting this bakery with their loved ones..

Any of their buns is good. But I recommend Chocolate bun, Peanut butter cream bun ( This is too good ) , Coconut bun.
2. Paneer pizza bun & garlic bread.
3. Freshly baked bread everyday. ( I only get my bread here! )
4. Their fresh cream pastries & puffs.
Please note - their items sell out quickly & some of the items ( peanut butter bun, coconut bun ) are only available in the morning & are sold out by the afternoon so call them before you visit!
This is a must visit if you come near Purasawalkam.
Please note: you can’t park anywhere nearby especially if you have a car. Accessing it by bike is easier.

Very old baker. Maintain the quality for decades together . I have been using their products for the past 25 years . Really superb quality . Prices affordable.
