This is my kind of place 😍 that masala milk and paal gova (milk sweet) will take you to heaven. Been there for many years since my childhood and the taste is always been the same. Same old shop with one large kadaai. So nostalgic about this place! It has been a landmark of Big street, Triplicane
This shop is one of the oldest shops in triplicane area. Originally named as 'Nambisans', the name has been changed. The owners are the same. The name change is due to the fact that the shop has stopped selling Nambisan's products like butter, ghee etc. This shop sells quality products both for direct consumption as also for our home needs. They also sell stationery as also cool drinks and water for consumption purposes. There is a wide range of products like appalams, vadams, thokkus, murukku, thattai etc. Though the area of the shop is small, they have adequate stock of all items. They do not concentrate on ambience, but on making available the maximum number of products for home use and consumption. It is a marvel that the people in the shop go about giving you your needs without much of a fuss. There is always a good crowd of customers waiting patiently for their turn in purchasing goods.

Sweets are made using ghee.This is the best sweet shop in Triplicane on the road connecting Triplicane Big Street and Marina beach.Rates are always lower than the branded sweet shops of Chennai despite quality being better than the quality of sweets in those branded shops.Nearby the oldest Pooran Poli(Boli) stall of Chennai is situated in the adjoining block where you can buy the best boli ( with stuffing of coconut/sweet dal flour/vegetables) .These bolis are not only tasty but also healthy and stomach filling.
