A nice place which you enter just for their expertise in vegetarian cooking. Be it their breakfast with amazing sambar, or some rare dishes like Ragi Dosa/Godhumarava Dosa/Dhalia/Idiyappam Thenga paal/butter milk/Kozhakatta/Rava Laddu/Thair Vada/Filter Coffee/etc.
I am constantly raving about all their breakfast items since this is the meal for which I frequently visit Saravana Cafe.
They provide breakfast/lunch/snacks/dinner. Skipping lunch & dinner, we come to the evening snacks which has a crowd of it’s own. Bajji/Bonda/Vada/etc are there. The highlights for me are the same sweets which you get in the evenings too, plus some soup/really cheap sandwiches/rava upma in cup (for 10 bucks!), Rajma in a cup and a couple more stuff like this which you don’t get in many places. Note: you should want sambar with your bajji/bonda (along with the chutney), you gotta ask for it separately by paying 6 rupees :P yes, that’s the price. Else you go inside and have the delicacies at a few bucks extra overall and get the entire tiffin experience :D
Located in a place filled with Chennai’s famous road side eateries, Saravana Cafe is a place that you have to visit for the taste in vegetarian food which is 5/5 given. The pricing is a bit on the higher side but justified given the special taste and vibe of the place (zero fancy/vitals are there and excellent taste).
Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of few small disappointments. - hand wash is a big problem which could be easily fixed for a better experience but somehow they choose to ignore it.
- Cigarettes which they sell outside is a not a good sign for a restaurant, especially for those who are looking to not enjoy the smoky atmosphere.
I grew up eating at this place. They have authentic South Indian breakfast and mostly take aways are the best option here.
The dine out is little Small and always full of men!
Their Pongal is a must try and their appams too.
Excellent dosa varieties with great side dishes..Please try some more varieties..foodies will enjoy them..prompt delivery nd what else to say.. keep it up guys

They server amazing parotta and kurma, keerai vadai, dosa - pocket friendly

Nice tidy ambient Place for regular Breakfast and Dinner menu with Quick bite for refreshments like Juices and Cool drinks, hot beverages (Coffee, Tea etc..), Western Snacks (Sandwich and Bread toasts)Traditional South Indian snacks like Vadai, Bonda, Bajji, Sundal, Boli and Boiled Flour foods in rich and fine taste.Very happy on last visit and highly recommended to visit and enrich your taste buds with absolute delight. Price be comparatively high but overshadowed by enriched quality

Nice place to have morning breakfast. And coffee and tea are good.
It's a really one place to have a decent meal.. rest of the shops look like small fast foods in the area.. food quantity is bit little for the price... any ways limited meals and you can order a second course if hungry. Quality also decent for the cost. They also have restroom which was also pleasing.. as I had traveled from morning .. it was great help to find a toilet.. overall I give a 4 star on 5
Perfect place for veg lovers. I tried their morning breakfast combo and lunch meals . Quality wise both are great. The evening snacks also good. Don’t miss their special tea.

The breakfast items like Idly, Pongal, poori are all very good. But the interiors of the hotel could be improved. The seating area is small and not maintained at all. Otherwise it's a great option for breakfast and lunch.
Small hotel but good food.
Decent hotel. Within budget. They serve both south Indian and Chinese items. Taste is okay. Can be improved.
Good. Only problem is taking hot coffee is denied inside. It takes few minutes for servers to take it and deliver after it is kept by tea master. If they are inside kitchen you are finished. Only warm coffee.Othrwise, a good vegetarian joint.
Evening snacks is good one and useful for nearby office employees and also diabetics to fill the stomach little in the evening.
