Was here few weeks ago with one of my friends. The appearance of the hotel was not appealing but the items we ordered sambar idly and mushroom parota tasted excellent.... the service was also very good...

Decent place to eat. We went there at 9.30 AM so there wasn't much it had to offer. However, the rava dosa and onion dosa we had was great. The quantity was also good and so was the sambar. Overall a clean place to eat when you are really hungry.

I've been scouting so long to find a restaurant that supplies fabulous Sambar and my wait came to an end here. Coimbatore sambar is the best I've ever tasted and I almost enjoyed the same taste here.
Dosa was also great. Rightly gheed and roasted. The pricing is too moderate and worthy so full marks to pocket-factor. The building must've been built around some 70s or 80s and still has the classic feel.
I had watermelon juice which was pretty decent but some 8 bucks priced above average.Overall a very veggy friendly decent restaurant where you can have family dinners around George Town area.

A very old restaurant of yester years...still maintaining the decor and style ...taste has come down over the years..but even otherwise they are pocket friendly and cater to everyone...

Serval times I have visited. I ate plain dosa all the time. Because it's budget friendly. Only Once I had bomda and tea, actually it is really very bad. Bomda looks bright orange in colour, tastes something else. Tea was ok. But I like dosa all the time. Very neat & tidy place. Service is good. Sometimes there are more servants available. Sometimes only one servant is taking care of all.

Hi.. I found this place accidentally in 2022 when I had come to High Court. I had curd rice. It was served with vegetables and pickle. I was full already with that much. I had to sit opposite to a lawyer cos the place was full. I went yesterday, 13th of April 2023. The restaurant was almost empty in AC area. Very few people. I had the same curd rice. Was served with pickles and vegetables. I ordered a small Mountain Dew bottle and also had paneer pakoda. TbH.. the paneer pakoda was delicious.. I wish I had not filled my stomach with the curd rice and vegetables.. there was a lot, so I got it packed. All I paid was 155 rupees. It's not an office canteen to give subsidiary food. It's a restaurant. I felt the price was good. I appreciate the healthy food I ate. I have a highly sensitive stomach, and I woke up fine. 🤷🏻‍♀️ If u are in this area. Do try their rice and rice varieties only during lunch hours and refrain from eating tiffin during lunch hours for ur own health instead of complaing.. 😊 I'll go there to eat again.. 🙌🏼

Apparently established in the year 1941, Neo Ranga Vilas is an affordable and reasonably a decent restaurant for a quick bite. Plain ambiance and quite noisy during peak hours. Had a plate of large and fluffy Idlies and a Sambar Vada and real good filter coffee all for Rs.75. The waiter was good and knew exactly to serve what. Felt fulfilled! Shall try to visit whenever I can.
