I've eaten at the old Navayuga when I was a kid. Enjoyed it then. So when I saw this now I had to go & check it out. Well it certainly wasn't the old one which I enjoyed, but this is a new & improved version. Their unlimited meals was excellent as was the Nellore chicken we ordered. Service was very courteous though a bit slow. I'm unable to rate it on the cost as my friend paid the bill but it's a place definitely worth going to. If you like Andhra style NV don't miss this place.
I’ve seen this place umpteen number of times whenever I crossed TTK road. Finally got a chance to try out. The place is neat and tidy, has valet parking also. We had Nellore Mirchi Chicken, Chicken Kheema Kara Dosa, Mutton Biriyani, Kal Dosa and Orange Goli Soda. Everything tasted great and the winner was the Nellore Mirchi Chicken - Fab! 👌🏼🤩 And the bill came up to ₹950 which was very decent! I’d definitely go to this place again!
Mutton biriyani is ready good..... Fish gravy is mind blowing. All non vegetarian foods are mouth watering..... The price is very much Reasonably economical.....
“Navayuga” was a good old restaurant on TTK road in 1990s, which served authentic Andhra food. The hotel was shut down one fine morning for reasons best known to them. We terribly missed the restaurant at that time.
When I saw Navayuga, popping up in Zomato, recently, it was a pleasant surprise.
The hotel maintains its legacy. The food is upto the expectation.
We ordered non veg meals, fish tawa meals, chilli Baji and Guntur chicken boneless.
Meals has rice, biriyani, standard gravies with chicken, mutton and prawn dishes, pickles, podi and ghee.
Especially, fish gravy needs a special mention as a top notch dish.
Only let down was Guntur chicken, which was hard like a rubber and unpalatable.
Tawa fish was quoted with spicy powder and mouthwatering.
Must try if u admire Andhra cuisine.
Excellent food great Andhra taste. Really a paradise for Andra people. A must try place to try Andhra taste in Chennai. Great Ambience and staff are very friendly.

This place has valet parking, but can hardly park two cars and parking takes a lot of time (I had to wait more than 15 minutes to get my car). It is the only drawback.
One of the best restaurant that serves Andhra cuisine in Chennai. Had the Guntur chicken, Mutton fry, tawa fish for starters. They were all really good but a tad oily. The best thing in the menu was their Bhojanam (thali). Easily the best thali I’ve had. All the veg side dishes and gravy were so good and flavourful, you really do not need any additional side dishes. Service is very quick (went on New Year’s morning). Check it out if you fancy Andhra cuisine, but try parking cars in the parallel roads.
Outstanding, authentic Andhra food. Everything was fresh, the gongura chutney made in sesame oil, podi etc. The ghee was great quality. Great service too. Very prompt.

An authentic Andra food place in Alwarpet Chennai. You cannot miss their exclusive Andra specials . We had a mutton Briyani spl and a gongura chicken bojanam. Their mutton spl gravy was also nice . They have a valet parking space in front of their restaurant. Overall a great experience ✌️👍🏻

So went to KVR Navayuga for lunch on a Saturday. It wasn't crowded. It's right next to cream stone and there's limited space for parking, maybe only 2 cars can be parked at a time. You walk up a short flight of stairs to the restaurant which is in the first floor. First thing to point out, it is clean. Service was very good, exemplary even! They were forthcoming with what to try and what might be too much. We had their meals which had everything! It has one chicken, mutton, fish and prawn dish apart from all the usual accompaniments for a regular south Indian meals along with a bowl of chicken biryani and unlimited white rice. Their podis were the highlight of the meal! Especially their prawn podi, we were apprehensive to try it at first but it was a sure winner! They had buttermilk provided with the meals, we ordered a goli soda which was also a nice accompaniment to the meal. It complemented well with the whole environment and lunch. The pricing was very well! Each meal which had everything in it was Rs 500 odd. Definitely worth it Overall this place is a GEM! I'll definitely be singing praises of this place and be visiting this place again!

Great place for Andhra food.. we ordered normal Bhojanam and Prawn curry along with chicken roast... The bhojanam had a large variety of options and the good was very decently priced. Great for a family outing. Especially lunch.. less service time but service could be better.....
Blown Over. It was awesome experience I ever had in Chennai. The people who want pure authentic Andhra food especially for nellore guys should try here. The curries which they serve for 'Bhojanam' are literally good as equal to home food even you can feel the spicyness of curries. You will get all kinds of varieties of food here and even there is different types of 'Goli Soda' as beverages. Must Try restaurant.
A slice of Nostalgia... The Old Navayuga in CIT colony Mylapore was a great place to savour the authentic taste of Andhra cuisine (with a limited menu, thankfully) in Chennai until it closed down over a decade ago. After a long gap, one day I spotted the signage Navayuga on a building and I hoped that it was the original and not some me-too restaurant trying to Piggy Back on the established name. And thankfully it is the Original. Or at least it is started by the same family members as that of the original. Now is it as good as the one which closed down? No not exactly. But then the food is great, the owners are very friendly and caring, (Maybe they would be like that till they establish their business, but it is OK.)But then Over and above all else... It is a great TASTE OF NOSTALGIA... in the end it is what matters....
