I am a frequent visitor to this place. The food here is decent and it do have a touch of Andhra. I love the schezwan chicken fried rice and mughalai biriyani are of most favourite apart from full meals. One would love the dosas and the chutneys they provide at nights.

Situated close to the foot over bridge opposite MEPZ. An easy go to place for the mepz people.The unlimited meals here is decently priced for an AC restaurant.They also provide non veg meals which is the normal meals plus one additional gravy. The kovakai fry is just wow.Like any other andhra mess the taste and quantity is good.When you visit as a team ordering different nv meals amd share the gravies its Defenitly value for money.
Its a typical andhra mess with air conditioning ,a rare combo.

It's spacious and have 45-50 peoples siting capacity. Don't go on zomato enlisted menu, coz they have lots of other item more.
Here we order chicken meal and they serve it on big banana leaf. The meal has chutney, kootu, lady finger pakora, papad, curd, a full bowl chicken curry which contains 7-8 pieces of chicken and rice. In gravy they give buttermilk, spicy samber, rasam as well. And pickle, podi and gingerly oil is complementary for every meal. So it's a full loaded meal, don't you dare to take extra rice after completing the first portion . I recommend you that.
And we order paneer dosai and egg veech parota. They give white chutney, tomato chutney samber as well.
Now come to taste. Each and every thing is taste really good. Who never tries the podi masala with gingerly oil, i recommend them to have it once. From the start of pakora to end with curd everything have its own good taste and flavour.
It's just opposite to mepz, near the foot over bridge. You need to take narrow stairs to go on the 1st floor..
It has a road side parking.

Sri Annapoorna Andhra Mess is located in Tambaram Sanatorium just opposite to the Mepz...its present in the service lane behind the footover bridge on the side that leads towards tambaram...kind of easy to miss..people in cars cant access this place and those in bikes might have a tough time trying to park the vehicle and that too wont be safe..this place is solely for the people working at MEPZ..
Located on the first floor reached through a narrow set of stairs...this place is quite small and cramped..gets full pretty quickly during meal times..averagely maintained place with some pretty average service..food is served on banana leaves...
Have tried the meals here on most occasions...the food is really good with the podi being the best..sambar and rasam are really good and really a filling meal it is...hyderabadi dum biryani is really good here with perfect spiciness and flavors...the chicken fry and other items are worth a try..
Pricing is very nominal..ambiance and service not that great...food is top notch...and the best andhra meals hotel in the neighboorhood...
Best for takeway. Food taste is awesome. All the dishes with meals were too good. Sambar, rasam, kootu, morkozhambu poriyal and the podi / çhutney all for 80rs. Chicken masala was also good with good no of pieces for the price 90rs. As i was in hurry took takeaway. Two wheeler parking is tough and risk of vehicle getting scratched. Hotel is in the small service lane where car wont go at all. Small stairs lead to up. Hotel is fully ac so you can sit comfortably and eat. As my starting line i again say its best for takeaway, buy and relish at home.
Very pocket friendly place. Don't go with high hopes of ambience. The place is like any other mess but the positive point is it has the AC to beat the heat. Most of mess still miss it. Its beside Tambaram Sanatorium bridge so no place for parking.
Food is tasty and spicy and definitely a good quantity.
The staff is good with basic sense of courtesy which might be lacking in most of the good restaurants.

I usually take rice, dal, sambar, fried veg, curry veg, curd , papad and that is more than enough for me to finish up rice with full satisfaction. They have non veg variants of the meals as well(fish,chicken, mutton). Restaurant is equipped with ac(a recent upgrade), so you can enjoy the food without sweating during summers :).
One of the old Andhra mess outlets available in Chennai. That says the quality of food and service they provide. I've been a fan of this mess from 2013 since I joined CTS MEPZ campus. The meal parcel would be sufficient for two average eaters. Prefer the dine in rather than the take away since you get unlimited sides and curries. They have additional sides and serve beverages at additional cost. Service is very prompt. The cleanliness seems questionable by the looks but the place is actually clean. The dinning area is air conditioned and so you can have a some peaceful meal.
This is one of the signature Andhra mess located right opposite to MEPZ bus stand. Fully air conditioned dining. The food is good and the service is also good. The cost of food is bit higher due to the A/C facility bit crowded in afternoon. Parking will be difficult for even 2 wheelers you need to park some where near by and walk a bit to reach the restaurant.
Should try: Chapathi, Dosa with their Non veg sides.
Kuruma and Non Veg gravies tastes Good.

You will get good andhra meals for Rs.110/- . Veg fried rice is very good and cost is Rs.100/-. Good atmosphere and located opposite to GRT jewellers. If you order andhra meals through Zomato then cost is Rs.180/- and same food cost in hotel is Rs.110/-.. Dal also very tasty.

Best hotel for Andhra meals and Papu. . .i enjoyed having food here. . .u get all types of food and in night you will be getting the tiffins also. . .you will get good meals and biryani also. . . taste is to good. . .have to try atlest once in a week. . .
I recommend this spot for occasional days because the food is very good in the afternoon for a daily visit especially who are working daily in the office. The cost of a Veg meal is 120/- Unlimited and Non-veg is 200/-.Coming to the service it is good at peak times we need to wait for some time ⏰.
Located in 1st floor, little crunchy to walk through the stairs but they have good seating capacity with Fully Air conditioned room. Tasted Veg meals, they keep on serving the rice - always hot (no soda). That is something special for Andra mess. Podi and oil (no ghee) , Dhal, Chutney are so good, Excellent taste. Sambar and fry is quite below average. Rasam, mor kuzhambu and curd are very good. No parking facilities for 4 wheelers.
