I remember someone recommending this place to me and can't thank them enough!
At 10:15pm, an almost packed restaurant took me by surprise. Then realized being opposite to MEPZ, it draws a lot of IT crowd too.
Absolutely piping hot parottas, straight from the tawa. Took me a while to shred it to pieces. Tasted yummy with the chicken gravy. Omelette was just warm, but good. Chicken Sukka with bone, very tasty but chewy. Would have liked the meat tender. Yummy food and courteous service.
3 parottas, 1 Egg Omelette and 1 Chicken Sukka. Paid 145 bucks. Had the leaf been dark green, photos would have made justice to the food. Sadly they don't look as good as they tasted.

Located under the Foot over bridge at Tambaram Sanatorium MEPZ signal, you can see this place crowded during the lunch and dinner hours. Majority of the crowd is bachelors.

If you like South Indian chettinadu style food then this is the place to be. Tried their Chettinadu chicken and pepper chicken masala (boneless one). Both were outstanding dishes.

Special mention to their veechu parotta and Kalakki.

Try going here by a two wheeler or walk/public transport.

Overall,
Food - 4.5/5
Service - 3.5/5
Ambiance - 3/5
Value for Money - 4/5

Its a small mess with a decent menu that gives you vfm. Try their parotta, kothu parotta, idiyappam paaya. I have had their fish gravy long back, it was good. Dont expect any ambience, service or even parking space. Its nearby Al barack restaurant opposite to MEPZ.

Taste : 4/5 ; Ambiance : 2.5/5 ; Service : 2.5/5 ; VFM : 3.5/5

This is a small mess type restaurant located behind the santorium bustand that leads towards tambaram...pretty basic looking eatery with some pretty average manintenace and clenaing...the place is definitely not for hygiene freaks...can be said that it a bit upscaled comapred to road side shops or kaiyendhi bhavans...

The service is pretty quick..but dont expect friendly or professional behavior...they always are on their toes...actually they want the customers too to be quick and ordering...or else you wil get a cold attitude...have visited this place many times..thanks to close proximity to the bus stand...

Though the menu seems extensive there are a lot of items that can be purely avoided...like biryani varieties, chinese and tandoori items...all there are pretty average ones..nothing great about them..the ones to look forward to try here are the chettinad items...the idiyappam and parotta had with paya and other mutton items is really the best choice...the paya especially is really good...the best in the locality actually...the kal dosai and egg dosai varities too are something to look forward to..

The pricing is bit extra than a nominaly priced eatery..but considering the food and taste...and also if you neglect service and ambiance then this place is a must try in the neighborhood...only for their tasty chettinadu dishes...

It is a great local joint. Best Southern tamil dishes, going there often. I love thier Idiyappam & Paya. You often get a feel having food in Madurai when you have it here. Must go to this place and if you are Ambience freak then you miss thier delicious food. They also customize your egg but in South Indian way. Please go in your two wheeler as parking is a challenge.

Very Good parotas, reminds me the Rajapalayam parotas. Dont expect ambience, or special foods. Good for singles looking for south TN foods....

I have been to this place many time for lunch/dinner since this place is very close to my work place(MEPZ). They are simply VFM. The waiters are friendly and the ambiance is okay. Please keep in mind that this is not a typical restaurant where you will be seated with a table for you and all that.

Food I like very much: The Non-veg meal, Parotta, Kothu Parotta, Fried rice, Fish gravy, Pepper chicken, Chilly chicken and most of the traditional items. Recently tried Rabbit fry and Fish podimass and both are very good.

Biryanis are not their best but not bad either.

A bit cramped for want of space. food is good overall. The owner is a very nice person. Limited number of staff is a problem. If you commute to work at MEPZ its at the bus stop where you will get down. A Bachelor's paradise. Price is normal.

Guys forget about the location and environment of this restaurant. They aren't near to those fancy restaurants (90's kids never care about the looks 😎) Such a mouth watering, nose poking i.e. (whatever to add) tasty food we get here.. Seriously try the prawn masala, you'll love this place so much. Good for budget guys and a paradise for bachelors. Nothing more needed for this restaurant.

Restaurant is too good..typical chettinad style. Specialist in barotta, labba and mutton chukka.. Chicken biryani is just 110/- ... Too good biryani compared to other over hyped 🔥restaurants

A typical Tamizh restaurant which serves up all kinds of meat items. The service is very good but don't expect high class hygiene. If you're not strongly immune, advice not to drink the provided water and do away with a packaged water. Coming to the dishes, all of them taste pretty good. It is well worth the money. Some of the things I would recommend ad must eat are Mutton Sukka, Botty fry and Masala, Mutta Kallu (Small Dosa with Egg). Biriyani is the only thing which is below par but very cheap though. If you're a woman reading this, I assure that thia place is very safe to eat here, though it looks like typical male dominated place at the side of a slightly lit over walk bridge. You might get some of the typical glance but nothing else.

If you are a type of person who cares only about food and nothing else matters, then this is the right place . Has tasty non vegetarian dishes especially Kothu Barotta, Kalakki omlette, Lappa, Veechu Barotta, Mutton Paya are my personal favorites. Biryani is not up-to the mark. Masala is little on the higher side on all the dishes. VFM. Cleanliness and hygiene can be improved. Guys who look for ambiance , kindly avoid.

Good taste of food. Prices are nominal. You can't expect ambience. Its a kind of daily go restaurant. service is bit late as the place is crowded with customers.A decent shop with reasonable price in the locality.

Go and eat parotta at the Eve. You will enjoy the taste. Don't ask for coconut chutney after 9.30 pm. It would be spoiled
