Heard about this place from a friend and thought of giving it a try. It was really good and I'm glad I chose to go there. We started with their signature dish - The colour changing noodles - they were awesome just as expected! The soup was full of flavor and we really liked it. In starters we had chicken wings, chilli fish and crispy lotus stem which was really good. In desserts we had Japanese cheese cake and tiramisu which melted on tongue! We really enjoyed the dinner their and looking forward for our next visit.

Excellent Asian food with a 7-course fixed food menu that’s brilliantly selected and satisfies your Asian food craving. My favorites were the Chicken Bao and Sushi. Nice ambiance, well lit and easy on the pocket for this level of dining experience. We had a great time as a family and would love to visit again.

This Pan Asian Restaurant is the newest addition to the Somerset’s block of Luxury Service Apartments. The place is breathtaking and boasts a rich, chic and a contemporary look with a splash of greens, yellows and reds! It is a hassle-free, fine dining restaurant indeed. Their pre-set menus are very promising and are currently the talk of the town. This was indeed, the drive and the pull that I needed! To start off, we were served with the salad of the day. I definitely enjoyed both - prawn and chicken. It was a beautiful burst of flavours. We quickly moved on to the second course, which was the gorgeous Lemon Coriander Soup! We tried the Chicken I could also feel the flavours linger on my palate for a minute or two! For the Third course, we had an option of Spring Rolls and Wontons. The Chicken Spring Rolls were perfectly crafted and very delicate. They were flavourful and tasted excellent. The Wontons were great - crunchy and crispy! Moving on to the next course, we tried the Crispy Tofu Bao and Chilli Fish Bao, served in bamboo baskets over a banana leaf. I personally loved the Tofu variant for its freshness, taste and crunch. The Fish variant was no less either. The buns were also warm, smooth and delicate. Next came the much awaited Satay. The Chicken variant was soft, juicy and was brilliant with a hint of peanut sauce! The Vegetarian one had a beautiful, yummy sauce on it, but, I really expected a better choice of veggies. We moved on the main courses and I slurped down some brilliant Chicken Khow Suey! I loved this one! But, I found the lemongrass flavour to be a bit overpowering though! The Pepper Fried Rice and Prawn Kung Pao Curry are not to be missed either. The prawns were mildly flavoured and well-cooked. We were almost full but had one last course to complete - Desserts. These looked quite interesting. Tim Tom Grob, the name by itself is super catchy and got me curious. One spoon and I was impressed. It is a Thai dish made with coconut milk and pomegranate. It felt like a coconut-y custard though. The Japanese Cheesecake with Vanilla Ice cream was the clear winner. It felt like a beautifully made ghee/tea cake, considering our palate. Nevertheless, it was rich and tasted brilliant. This was quite a sumptuous experience with some brilliant, scrumptious food. Are you ready to indulge yourself in a 7 course? If not, you have the options of 4 course and 5 course as well. They also have a few signature, chef’s special dishes in the À la carte menu!

Hawkersan is a newly opened concept place at MRC Nagar and I am so glad to have come across this place! The ambience is set in a way to give you a calm feeling along with the Asian decor❤️ As you enter this place, the staffs so courteously welcome you and make you feel comfortable. Hawkersan is one of the first restaurant in Chennai to introduce the 7 course meal options! This is popular in other countries but India is still picking up with the trend and Hawkersan is a pioneer in this category! First off we were served the glass noodles salad which had the colour change gala happening ❤️ this awakened the curiosity in me and enjoyed it change from blue to red like a child! Next up we were served hot and sour chicken soup which was lip smacking good! Moving on to starters, we had tried their dimsums, chilli beef, pepper prawns and everything literally melts in your mouth! The meats were cooked to perfection served along with the best sauces and flavours❤️ one of the best things about this place is you get to have the wholesome experience with variety of dishes whilst not feeling too bombarded with food due to the portion size! Next up for main course we tried the nasi goreng and Thai red curry with Jasmine rice ❤️ the nasi goreng was an absolute stunner! It's a must try for anyone visiting here. Finally for desserts we had the Milo tiramisu and Japanese cheesecake ❤️ I can safely say it was devoured in seconds and Milo always brings back you childhood memories giving the total wholesome experience at hawkersan Overall an amazing experience and will be back soon again! It an amazing place to visit with your partner or family

Location - this new Asian restaurant is located in the ground floor of Somerset Greenways hotel, MRC. Parking - they have a valet parking available. Ambience - So Rich and amazing. Looks grand. Service - was so quick Food - they have a fixed menu - 4 course, 5 course and 7 course meal. We tried the 7 course meal at 995rs. Started with Thai som tam salad - was perfect in taste and portion. Then came the hot and sour chicken soup followed by chicken spring rolls. Soup was mildly hot in taste. Chicken spring roll was crunchy. The fourth in menu are steamed baos. Tasted amazing. Fifth is the yummy chicken satay- chicken skewers with rich Asian flavors. Best course here. For main course we have the option to choose either jasmine rice with Thai curry or soupy noodles. We tried both 😍😍and loved the soupy noodles more. Desserts - didn't impress us much. Thai jewel is a mix of water chestnuts and fruits soaked in coconut milk. It was mild sweet. The chocolate based dessert was filled with milo. 😊 But didn't fit my taste. Rating Ambience - 5/5 Food - 4/5 (except desserts everything else impressed us) Service - 5/5

WORTH A VISIT I missed to visit Chao and it has been replaced with this prominent restaurant serving pan Asian dishes. They had introduced a seven course meal for both lunch and dinner. Hearing it's exquisite review across paltforms, we decided to try it. It was the seven course meal for the dinner. We were served with a colour changing noodles with salad as a starter. As you can see the noodles was blue. Once we pour sauce, it changes colour to brownish grey. Apart from this gimmick, the noodles had a nice taste and flavour. The peanut made the dish crunchier. The Manchow soup was tastier than the soups I had in many other places. The portion was less but that is more than enough in a seven course meal. With the prawn Spring roll I was sceptical about the taste. But it was quite a neat dish to have. The prawn was minced really well, the masala was in correct balance and not to mention, it was straight out of the pan which I loved the most. A big no to chicken satay. Personally I compared it with the 'Kal kozhi' from Thalapakatti and it was not even 10 percent of that. Restaurant managed to provide a new plate of satay after our serious feedback, but it was still the same. The peanut sauce with the satay was fortunately tasted well . Thai green curry with chicken and jasmine rice - This is the best out of all. The flavour, taste and spread was top notch. I can still sense the taste in my tongue. If I am going back to this restaurant, it would be for this rice. My partner chose Hunan Style soupy noodles in the main course section, The flavour and taste was real good. I would however choose the rice over noodles. Desert section had Sweetened Coconut milk with candied water chest nuts and fruits and a Dark Chocolate Mousse. Both were equally good though distinct in taste ,one for the Asian palate and the other for the chocolate connoisseur. On a whole, it was worth a try with ambience and service much more than we expected. Give yourself a try to know how the experience would be

The 7-Course meal at @hawkersan.chennai is a must try. Do not miss it. It begins with a Fresh Thai Som Tam Salad & proceed further step by step. This is followed by Soups of Asia, Wholesome Spring Rolls, Soft Steamed Bao Buns, Minced Chicken Satay. Main course includes Prawn Khowsuey with soft noodles, Steamed Jasmine Rice with creamy & flavourful Thai Curry. Finally, it ends up with a dessert. We ordered Ginger Dark Chocolate Mousse with Milo. I must say, I was completely satisfied with the variety and the taste, it offered satisfying all my senses. Coming to ambiance - it is located in a posh ambiance which is away from city crowd. You can spend your time leisurely here. The staffs are real friendly and serve you with a smile. After your dinner, you can even go to beach which is pretty close by. A must visit!!

Hawkersan a Panasian restaurant is located in the ground floor of the Somerset Hotel, so there's no dearth of parking space. You do have valet service too.The restaurant has beautifully decorated and well lit interiors with comfortable seating and interesting wall art. They have set meals with 4 course meal for 495, 5 course meal for 795 and a 7 course meal for 999 and the menu is changed everyday. We opted for the 7 course meal and in addition also ordered a couple of starters from the limited Alacarte menu. The Soy Chilly Chicken and the Ginger Soy Coriander Prawns, were tasty morsels ideal to accompany drinks which is also available, both Indian and Imported. The set meal started with Corn salad with Prawns which were kernels of boiled corn tossed with a sweet and spicy dressing with prawn. Iam not a big fan of corn but I found this quite appetizing. Then came the Lemon Coriander Soup which was interestingly presented with the broth being poured into the Glass Jar of Vegetables and quite big pieces of well cooked Chicken from a kettle. The tanginess of the lemon combined well with the diced vegetables. It was quite good. Followed by mini Chicken Spring Rolls which were served on top of some fried Noodles which were one biters. Loved the crispiness of the spring rolls and the varieties of dipping sauces. The Chilly Fish Bao was quite soft but the softness of the fish and the filling were not in consonance with the dish. The Chicken  Satay was served with peanut sauce. The Chicken was well marinated and quite succulent and just quite of melted in your mouth variety. The main course was a choice between Soupy Noodles - Khow Suey which is a Burmese one pot dish with a coconut milk based broth and Kung Pao Chicken which was served with sticky rice. I had the Kung Pao Chicken, which on its own quite good but pairing it with the sticky rice was not to my liking. For Dessert you have a choice between Thai Jewel which is a sweetened Coconut Milk with diced water Chestnut and Japanese Cheese Cake served with Ice cream. Both the desserts were not cloyingly sweet which is more to my liking. The Cheese Cake had just a subtle hint of cheese and was more like a sponge cake. All in all a good Pan Asian meal with the choicest dishes  food being showcased from  different parts of Asia.  And the advantage of opting for a set course is that you don't have to rack your brain too much on what to order and just concentrate on making simple choices like Veg or Non Veg, Chicken or Prawn.

Hawkersan is at Somerset greenways .. Valet parking is available .. The interiors of hawkersan is designed in such a way to give the Authentic Pan Asian feel .. Ambience is well decorated with wall paintings .. The menu has now come up with providing 7 course meal .. Each dish has the option of choosing meat ( chicken & shrimp )and veg .. I hv chosen 7 course veg meal 1. Salad bar - Thai som yam salad made with papaya and raw mango is everything we need for refreshment .. The salad has perfect blend of sweetness and tanginess .. The crunchy peanuts in it decorated the dish .. 2. Soups of Asia - Vegetable broth with spices is poured into the jar of vegetables and flower .. This is the best soup I had till date bcz of its correct level of spices 3. Vegetable spring rolls - Finely cooked veggies is wrapped in the rice paper and wen fried it gave the crispy texture in golden colour.. 4. Veg steamed Bao - Diced potatoes with Asin flavours is then steamed with bao is all we need .. The soft texture of bao and the asian favoured potato made us to crave for more .. 5. Satay - Broccoli, zucchini, capsicum is grilled with Asian flavours and wen eaten with the garlic and peanut sauce is absolute treat to the taste buds .. 6. Jasmine rice & Thai curry - Steamed rice with properly cooked veggies in Asian flavours of Thai curry is completely a perfect dish for the main course .. Dessert - You get to choose between thai Jewel, classic dessert .. Thai jewel - Fruits layered with coconut milk and yogurt .. Classic dessert - It is almost similar to the chocolate mousse topped with milo .. I liked Thai jewel all the more .. The mocktails are not a part of 7 course meal .. Service was top notch and very quick to our needs .. The 7 course meal is priced at ₹995 per person .. In my opinion, it is worth for the ambience and the taste it is offering..
