I spent my 4 years of B.tech life in Dr. M.G.R University, Chennai.... Beside the college there was a bakery shop called Cakes & Pies.... I just loved the Cakes and Faluda Ice Cream of this place....Being a student from 2011-2015, we used to visit places which were budget friendly... And this place was pocket friendly which embarked our regular visits to this awesomely amazing place.... We used to order black forest, white forest and chocolate truffle....It was our only destination for every birthday cake orders... Having left Chennai for 3 years from now..... I still miss the aroma of cake of this place.... Just wish to visit this place once again....
One of the best cake shops in the surrounding. Their brownies and choco lava are the best. The softness and the texture is just perfect and the amount of chocolatiness will take you back no matter what. Also, it is super affordable and the cakes are amazing. Would totally recommend this place.
Visited this place one Friday evening for some quick bites. A typical on-the-go eatery, so nothing much to mention about the ambience.
Ordered a Chicken supreme from the snack display and two slices of pastry - one being red velvet and the other being mango.
The Chicken supreme was delicious but the cakes were just about average.
Red velvet, inspite of being priced comparatively higher than the other flavours on display, was quite disappointing.
The mango flavour was good but the cake was too dry.
Pricing is quite pocket friendly and there's a huge variety to choose from and to try, be it the cakes, pastries, beverages or the snacks.
If I use bypass to enter city during 4pm to 5 my snacks stop will be at cakes & pie ..
Often I use to order German Black Forest if not any mousse cake ,chicken puffs

Great place for cakes. Really really good cakes at a very reasonable price. Other products are average. But for just the cakes it wins! I have tried like 5 flavors and all of them were awesome!

One of the best bakeries in the area. Just love their eateries especially the brownie and muffins. They have good options when it comes to puffs and roles too and they are delicious. Definitely a must try place and I assure you that you will keep coming back since everything is priced very well.
They were the best for last 13 years but they missed couple of times in 2022 Dec. On a timely feedback, they again revived back and gave a fabulous cake this time in March for my daughters birthday. Snacks - veg roll was awesome. Thank you team for creating beautiful memories.

The brownie and the fudge here are fresh. Tried almond pie and brownie here.

They have good options when it comes to puffs and rolls too and they are delicious. The cake taste was good before COVID.
Affordable price for cakes. Half kg min rs 300. Good quality and taste.. Small shop located in main road. Easy to reach. But no parking facility.. Bikes to be stopped in road itself. Fear of parking due to rash driving in road.
