UDUPI DURGA BHAVAN is located exactly opposite to my house and it's one of my most favourite hotel in Chennai. You can have an excellent filter coffee and meduvada at 5.30 am early morning. The review is based on visiting the hotel several times.
1. Poori Masala: This is my favourite food. The masala will be excellent and freshly prepared. It can rightly compete with even most highly rated veg hotels in Chennai.
2. Idly and vada curry: This is the hotel's Signature dish. It will be available only between 6am to 9am.
3. Kadai paneer: Another highly recommend dish with lots of paneer and kaju. It goes well with butter kulcha.

For a typical udipi restaurant, this place is actually quite nice. Quality and quantity is good, and the food is priced reasonably relative to other chain restaurants. Service is good and the turnaround is quick without seeming pushy. Good place for a quick dosa and coffee.
Been here many times as I live in poonamalle.. One of my favourite Veg Restaurant.. Food Tastes really good .. South Indian food are best .. North Indian food such as naan, mallai kofta panner butter masala are average...
I prefer this restaurant for lovly south indian food.
Service is fast.
Parking available.
Food is tasty.
Just love the ghee dosa and onion uthpam.
Food comparatively cheaper than the other hotels.
GST escalating bill amount ,if you eat one dosa and coffee bill will be @ 90 only but adding GST bill amount is RS 108.
Very neat and clean, parking is the only problem
For vegetarian lovers the shop is the best place to ping in especially the fried mini idli and chilly parotta are the best. It also provides self service system in which u will get a amount of βΉ10 reduced for every dish that doesn't make a difference,for that you can sit inside and eat.And the place is bit costly after the GST..

2 idlys costs just 25 rs with 2 variety of chutney, podi and then sambhar
The dosas which we ordered were very hot and crispy, good quality ghee is being used everywhere
One of the prime spots with ample parking, just 2 blocks from the Poonamallee bus terminals, always crowded
I would surely recommend for everyone, the best hotel on the way of Banglore highway
Onion dosa was also good π the onion was not raw itself, the chutneys made the day

Good food. Clean, well maintained. Budget resturant. Only pure vegetarian food. Huge variety of sweets. Quick service. Suggestions - don't go for combos.. quantity is less. Rest all nallarka!! π
Excellent food. Clean and neat dining experience. I really liked the service. A must try for Veggie lovers. The pricing is perfect and light on the wallet.

Good food. Nice portion size. Pocket friendly. Value for money. Had tomato soup and mini meals. Quite nice. Companion had meals which was good too. No air conditioning.
One of the best vegetarian food in poonamallee ,near to poonamallee bus stand.
They have a display of food in entrence,.
Food are really good with reasonable price.
Must try is mini tiffin with coffee β€οΈ.
In mini tiffin - 2 idly,dosa, sweet, bonda,kitchadi,sambar with 2 different chutney at last coffee Very sufficient for one person.
Need to improve the service of cleaning table and taking orders....Less ventilation...
Bike parking is available, car π.....? Not too much space....

Good tasty South India vegetarian tiffin in a prime location at reasonable price. What more could you ask for? better service. While the food was good, service was far from satisfactory. No one attended our table for a while and we had go seek out someone to help us. Once we found someone to take our orders, they were served quick.

Very good pure veg restaurant in that area and somewhat near to the Vaidheeswaran temple. Breakfast was available even at 10.45 am when we arrived. And they closed the breakfast session at around 11.15 am. Food is tasty.
Value for money good taste
My favourite for special lunch for self service white rice with one vegetable and sambar, rasam and buttermilk with papadam and pickles. Cheap and best priced no wherein and around chennai you can get this lunch.
We had breakfast here with family. We had pongal, Idly, poori and Dosa. everything is good. Especially Coconut Chutney. Sambar is ok. Cost of the items are very less.
Don't miss the mini coffee. Menu is a game of balance. 1 is less 2 is more balance with vada.
I have been going to this restaurant from my childhood days . No compromise on the taste whatsoever. High quality south indian food at pocket friendly rates.
