My go to place in ECR !! Absolutely love their food and ambience, and they make the best Pina colada cocktail EVERRRR <3
We had some limited food here and what we ordered was good. The beach atmosphere was very pleasant. And added to that the live music was very nice.
The staff explained the menu which helped me choosing the items.
Top restaurant!! C Salt has a vast and varied menu. The food is delicious. Service is helpful and welcoming. The location is incredible-- virtuallly on the beach. Its a wonderful place for sharing a beautiful, relaxing meal with family and friends. We had lunch and dinner and booked dinner for tomorrow night. Swarup is the perfect host! Trust his recommendations.
We had a couple of starters which were recommended by Sanket who took great care of us. The calamari was spicy & had the right combination of flavours too. For our mains we had the raw mango fish curry along with the crab appam which hit sweet spot for us. Keep up the great work & service team.
It's right by the beach as well, so the view is also spectacular with fresh sea breeze coming your way. Would highly recommend you give the food here a go.

Improvement area: Speaker volumes can be lower, let the seashore sound of waves be there
Since the property is near crocodile park, you often spot snakes around especially in the greenery around.
C-Salt: By the Bay at Sheraton Grand is a restaurant with the perfect view and ambience that one would look forward to on their special occasions. The food and customer service is exactly what a 5* property should reflect-excellent. They make an effort to always create a “wow” experience for a diner.
Mr Ritesh G Ali, F&B Manager needs a special mention and so does Mr Subbu.
Last night my birthday dinner couldn’t have been better than the experience I had at C-Salt. I was so engrossed in deriving fun and happiness from the view I couldn’t focus on capturing images of the food served. A special note of thanks to our server Sanket who was extremely patient to suggest and explain every dish he offered us.
This is a place that needs to be enjoyed/explored for over a weekend wherein you experience their luxurious buffet spread followed by a dip in the sea and then some more pampering by the excellent staff at Sheraton Grand.
A perfect place for getaways, family/friends outing or even work from home. You wouldn’t be disappointed.
Beautiful view of the sea, one can walk upto the water. Wonderful breeze, vvveeerrryyy slow service, good food. Good choices available, cordial staff. All those stars for the ambiance 😀❤️.
TL;DR Delicious South Indian fare, amazing sea side ambience, laid back service, delicious cocktails.
We had a dinner at C Salt during our stay at Sheraton. It was not operational for the first few days due to Cyclone Nivar but we were fortunate to get to dine there on our last night of the stay. The ambience of the space is absolutely amazing. It is on the beach side and not really on the beach like KoKoMMo at the Intercontinental, but that doesn’t take away anything from the charm of having the cool sea breeze as you sip your drink and watching the reflection of the moon dance on the dark night sea. Most of the seating space is in the open gardens and there are few tables on the elevated wooden deck which has a roof but still open on 3 sides to have great views of the sea.
For starters we had Vazhaipu vadai which is deep fried banana flower vadas with chilli guava dip, and Meen kal varuval which is marinated king fish cooked on a griddle. I also ordered a cocktail called Malabar Mule that had American whiskey, Kokum syrup and ginger ale. The drink was served in a ceramic mug and tapioca chips were the snacks to accompany it. The drink was absolutely smashing, it had a punch but the local touch of Kokum syrup made it even better. The vazhaipu vadai were nice and crisp outside and soft inside, although we didn’t enjoy the chilli guava dip much. They were good on their own though. The fish was so delicately cooked, it was just melt in the mouth! For mains, we had Alleppey fish curry with Kerala brown rice and curd rice. The fish curry had a subtle taste and a smooth texture due to coconut milk and went well with the rice. Curd rice came with pickle and applam, simple yet delicious. We didn’t try any desserts but I am sure they will be delicious too.
Overall the service was a bit slow but we didn’t have anything to complain about and enjoyed our long chat on the beach side table. As we finished our food and were about to pay, it started pouring rain. Everyone rushed on the covered deck. The staff was swift in providing everyone with towels and escorting people back to the main resort building who were done with their dinner.
The prices are on a higher side but it’s an experience to be had. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would love to visit the restaurant again to try few other dishes. I would recommend making a reservation before going as it gets full quickly.
Restaurant on the sea shore !! Chef’s special menu in south Indian flavours! Lemon prawns and crab was delicious!! Humidity is bit high in the restaurant area!
