Well this was a walk in on a hot afternoon. We walked out of Brookfield just to find some better food outside the Mall. Found something in bright orange and we walked in. We ordered for a Mutton Biryani, Chicken Biryani, Fresh lime soda and omelette. The taste and the flavor of the rice was beyond tasty. Really well cooked meat and rice. Not a lot of oil but the flavors of ghee was also pretty prominent. However, The service needs to improve. Not that it was bad, but, it was slow and lethargic. Will come back food the taste. Wishing the team the best. Cheers.

It's an old hotel we always use to go there and have soup and biryani when we are sick, after had we feel so full and sleepy and immediate next day all the cold fever gone it's a good food like home feel

One of the best places for Biriyani in Coimbatore. The biriyani is not very spicy unlike most other places. They don't seem to add excess ground spices which makes it taste better and not too strong, unlike other restaurants which add a lot of ground spices to enhance the smell but sometimes causes heartburns. They also make a unique deep fried chicken (which they've named as Manjura chicken). Anyone who is used to eating Biriyani with Grill or Tandoori chicken (which is now available almost everywhere), should give this a try.

It's a typical biriyani hotel where the food is lip smacking good.. the service is fast and courteous... The taste of the chicken biriyani was different from the usual taste that i have come across other more famous biriyani joints in kovai it was more flavourfull and less spicy... The veechu porotta was superb and the gravy along with that was superb.. the pallipalayam chiken was kind of OK.. nice place if u need a hearty meal at a modest price with good service...

Restaurant confirmed order and then called back after half an hour stating one item not available. Asked me to change item to something else for same value. Why did they confirm the order in the first place when item is not avbl? Bad experience. We have to eat what they choose to serve, not what we paid for.

I used to regularly order from the restaurant. Now they have unprofessional staffs who are rude and spoil your dining. There are lots of better restaurants in town. Sorry to say you lost a long time customer. Hope the owner take action on their service staff.

Being an ardent Biryani Lover, it was obvious that I had to visit all the famous haunts in Coimbatore. Kovai Biryani Hotel was recommended to me by a bunch of people and I headed for lunch here with my folks. Please don't expect a fancy ambience. Food is all that matters in a place like this one. The service is prompt. We sat in the AC section of the restaurant which has more of a family crowd. We ordered for Mutton Biryani as their Chicken Biryani wasn't ready (bummer). We also tried their Chilly Chicken and Pepper Chicken. I preferred the former over the latter. The rice was served piping hot and it tasted delicious. A decent portion that would suffice for one person. I was actually shocked that I finished it (considering I have a small appetite). Or maybe I had worked up an appetite for it. So, should you be visiting this place? The answer would be a resounding yes!

Kovai Biriyani Hotel located at Vada kovai near brookefields mall is a prestigious,authentic restaurant that serves delicious Biriyani in its own style.I'm a frequent visitor of AC room in this restaurant. This restaurant also has open roof top. It is well known for Mutton and Chicken Biriyani. Apart from biriyani I have tasted almost all the dishes the top preferences are Chicken fry roast, Grill Chicken, Mutton Nenjukari, Mutton Nalli,Lollypop. Vanjram fish etc., which are traditional. Thalai curry is also a must try for mutton lovers!Parotta,Dosa,Chapathi and south Indian varieties are also a must try! Not great but still pretty decent chinese cuinie also available..Prawns Manchurian, Pepper Prawns, Panneer Manchurian etc., are well known and the Panner Butter Masala is a good combo for Chapathi and Naan. Pulav and Friedrice are also good here. Lastly don't forget The egg varieties and fresh lime soda which when sipped by combining sugar and salt ends on a soothing finish.

I live nearby and have eaten here or taken out from here for four years, never disappointed by their flavors and there consistency. I have never been disappointed with either service while there or with the quality of the food as some review suggest. Their mutton biryani is incredible. Overall, the restaurant is great for what it is. I will absolutely come back.

I really liked the biryani ...it wasn't dry....it had a good taste to it... wasn't oily.... although the quantity is very less....For a person it would individually cost about 300...For which you get better tasting biryani in Hyderabad..The place I'm actually from..Ambience was not that good.On a whole,I would say that this place is way too overrated....

Parking hard to find during weekends. It was located in the small lane opposite to Brookfield's. So, weekend parking will be tough.

Apparently this is a famous biriyani place according to my aunt. This place is located in a lane right opposite to Brooke field mall. There is ample space for Parking 👍 The service was friendly and fast 😅 We ordered three chicken biryanis and one pepper chicken. The biriyani was manageable. It was a yellow rice with so much chicken that would pass off as biriyani. It didn't taste a bit like biriyani and was very average. There was no spice or any taste. 🤔😐 The pepper chicken was good and spicy. 🍗👍😅 It went great with the caramelised onion gravy 👍☺️ Overall the bill came up to ₹550 for three. This is pretty reasonable considering the quantity 👍

Coimbatore Review #124 Decent place for an okish dinner. Went in here coz of hunger at that moment.. Okish ambience with outdoor seating too. Decent service. Egg veechu parotta- one of my fav dishes of all time and no mistake made, they had made it pretty good. The salna they provide along is awesome. Egg roast - made well and the sides were pretty ok. Pretty synonymous with their pale yellow biriyani , Kovai biriyani has a cult following . Infact it has become one of the must visit restaurants for tourist ,just to try their sumptuous Biriyani . The real hero is ofcource their iconic biriyani which is simply delicious when served piping hot .All the chicken and mutton dishes are quite good too but the quantity is very less for the price they charge . parking is always a issue due to its proximity to the Brookfields mall . Generally they serve in banana leaf. The quantity is also high with moderate cost. Its my only choice to have food when i visit brookfield mall. All biryani items and mutton dry and semi-gravy are very tasty. The ambience is not too good.

This restaurant has the traditional taste of Angannan Briyani hotel. This Angannan hotel is an age old famous briyani hotel in kovai. When Angannan hotel got closed, I was so sad that the traditional tasty briyani was no more. Somehow, the tasty briyani lives in the name of Kovai Briyani. Just a guess the chef's somehow shifted and opened a new hotel. I am a big fan of this tasty briyani since my childhood. Even though I am from Chennai. There is no briyani in the world that can bet this Angannan/Kovai briyani. A must have briyani for all briyani lovers. I have been a marketing person for this briyani since my childhood and many of my friends have tastes and became fan of this. Long live Kovai Briyani... This is one of the best biriyani hotels in Coimbatore. Love the biriyani taste here. Good service. They serve both chettinadu and Chinese food with variety of dishes. Kadai roast was very tasty. Mutton gola was very bad and I tasted only masala powder.
