Wonderful spot for a delicious cup of coffee and tasty treats. We had regular cappuccino and hibiscus tea with chocolate cake, which was ordered twice and was delicious!
Prices are mild but given the view, it’s totally worthwhile.
Small place near the dalai lama temple. U can order anything. Trust me u won't be disappointing. Their omelettes are the best I have ever had. Butter chicken is also good. Lemon soda is mind blowing ...do try

One of the not so expensive places in main McLeodganj market. Try their herbal teas, they have a wide range and all are really good. The food and cakes are really amazing.
Located at temple road with name moonpeak thali. Both moonpeak espresso and moonpeak thali are adjacent restaurants.
I ordered a mutton apricot and a himachali thali.
The himachali thali had kadhi, rajma (kidney beans), semolina halwa, rice and cabbage sabzi along with 2 rotis and a papadom.
Mutton apricot was sour sweet in taste. Quite different from other mutton recipes. Tasted fine.
Rotis were extremely soft. Rajma was fine and cabbage sabzi was also good.
Nice ambience.
Update: ordered an iced hibiscus tea as well. Quite flavourful. Sweet and sour. Variety of teas available here.
Had the Himachali thali that is served at weddings and feasts. Loved every bite. Could not imagine that dates and spinach subzi can be such an awesome combination. Highly recommended.
Central location, while can be disturbing on busy days, is quite entertaining otherwise. Sitting on the table outside and watching the endless activities on Temple Road is quite entertaining. I also love the cafe interiors that show the owners personal interest in art, and their Himachali Thali is a 100% winner.

I went there for a coffee and the barista was kind and talented enough to make me a coffee that wasn't on the menu! His version of an ices espresso was incredibly delicious. Along with the coffee I had a slice of the chocolate cake which was amazing!
Sitting on the table outside, I saw the sunset and felt that there was no better way to enjoy the calmness of the city!
The ham and bacon sandwich was... AMAZING! I wish I had tried it sooner in my visit to Mcleodganj. Amazing coffee and friendly service.
This place has such calming music, nicer breeze around, helped me slow down on my trip.

Moonpeak Deli is up there as one of my favourite eateries in over two months of travelling. Their iced coffees are brilliant, a cross between a frappé and a smoothie. The cheese in the omelettes is v good quality, I think they make it themselves and they definitely make their own sourdough which is more like seeded German rye, but it’s wonderful (and I’m a baker!) Carrot cake was lovely too. I had brunches but the mains you can have at lunch & dinner looked good too. Highly recommend!
The almond cake, chocolate cake and carrot cake are amongst the best we have ever eaten. So much so that we came back a second time the next day. The mozzarella cheese is also really good. The coffee is also of a very high standard. We just walked into it without seeing the reviews but were really glad we did. Highly recommended.
I wanted to try some local cuisine during my Mcleodganj trip and came across this place serving Himachali Veg Thali. Thali had 4 curries - chhole, kala chana, semolina cubes and pumpkin and it was served with 2 rotis, rice, kheer and salad. The experience was quite nice and fulfilling. Kala chana and semolina curry was my fav in thali.
It's a small enough nice cozy place to eat in middle of the road. We went at lunch time and it wasn't that crowded at all(maybe we were there too early).
We ordered the veg thali and it was amazingly nice and absolutely loved. One thing I'll say, that the dishes were amazing but what's most amazing were the chapatis. I am still unsure how they made it so soft and lovely. Best I ever had.
We also ordered tea and it was lovely. I also ordered Coffee Ricotta Cake as per someone's recommendation here on Google maps and it was not that good.

I tried the butter croissant and masala chai. The croissant was ok, quite doughy but crunchy and fresh. The chai was a bit too sweet for my taste but I should have ordered without sugar, forgot about that. The staff is friendly and the other dishes looked very good too.
This cafe is located in the main market and very easy to access. We tried the coffee cake and their macchiato. They have seats outside and also a cozy sitting arrangement inside the cafe. Would love to vist them again and some more items from their menu.
