One of the oldest outlets along with chiyang to serve Chinese or oriental ,we tried out egg fried rice ,chicken noodles and their signature chilli chicken .Well it was lovely .The whole food experience with the gush of indo Chinese flavours. .so perfect that u want to come back soon to this place
The chariot runs a coffee shop from 4 pm and 7 pm.I have heard people speaking highly of the place. Many times when I reached the place by 6.45 almost everything was empty and have ended up craving to task the food here. So I went today and had tea , coffee , banana fry (pazham Pori) and Egg Bonda.
The banana fry was simply fantastic. So was the tea and coffee.
Egg Bonda was another story. It was nothing to tell anyone about. The egg Bonda was served with chutney which was tasty. The Bonda was kind off not that great
If your looking for some good food at reasonable price chariot is the place to be.we ordered cream of tomato soup ,veg noodles ,chivken noodles,crispy chicken and pork noodles and chilly chicken.The soup was creamy hot and just perfect.Among the noodles the crispy chicken and pork noodles was my favourite.The chilly chicken lacked flavour and was bland.But overall good food
Chariot resaturent was around my school days but started exploring it when in college and continuing after two decades... .The ubiquitous Kerala fish curry meals is authentic and tasty here even today.Do not expect fine dining experience with old furniture without any comfort of sitting, but the fish curry with fresh fish is sumptous with a rice meal. I know office goers who is having lunch everyday.Warm and pleasant service replenishing accompaniments whnever its needed is one good aspect I noticed.Their fish fry is also nice .All items are reasonably priced.I havent tried the chinese varieties though good rating among foodies.

Known for its Chinese dishes and Kerala meals for lunch. Still same waiter was serving to us when I gone there for the first time.(which was way back in early nineties )We had old favourite sweet corn soup ,mixed fried rice and chilly chicken. Food is ok and service is super quick and prices re reasonable.Food served nothing extra ordinary but was tasty for me.
Forgot to mention about ambiance which was also same (1990's)

Chariot was one of the very first Chinese restaurants in the city back in day.
Whether it's breakfast , lunch or dinner this restaurant delivers. During lunch its a full house . The meals here is average so don't go for that .
The fried rice with a side dish of beef , chicken or even pork is good .
Just outside the restaurant there a tea shop which servers THE BEST LIME TEA and short eats .

One of the oldest players serving good food with hygiene. Consistent in their products and service. The best thing is their evening snacks which is a blessing for people working in and around M G Road.
Chariot has been around for ages and has now seen the world around it change drastically. Yes - it looks a lil shady and the insides too old school. But the food they serve are fabulous. My Appa just can't skip on a chance to have fish curry meals from Chariot. Fried rice and chilli chicken tops my favorites though (Now you notice the generation gap here, don't you?). And their Chai and snacks (Spring rolls to be specific) are the best in town - Hands down. This is the best of Old Cochin (Way before Metro construction decided to plunge MG road into darkness) and they have stayed that way.
The good old chariot! A trustable place for lunch even with a lean pocket.Even though I have visited the place a lot ,back my entrance coaching days ( which made me foodie) I never knew their old hit fishcurry meals.I always chose Chinese here ,which was quite good.And recently my achan took me to this place and we had fish curry meals, during lunch he kept on explaining his good old memories about the restaurant.Probably something that Trivandrum walas will feel abt th Famous Indian coffeehouse thambanoor or wot i will feel about Abad food court -bpm or cocoa tree mg road on later days! Food is so much attached to memories
A very old place serving Chinese & Fish Curry meals. There is a snacks & tea counter adjacent to the restaurant which is quite popular. Had fish curry meals today which was quite good. If you are a fan of indo chinese cuisine, do try their Cantonese Chicken. Service is good but ambience is not great.

A good restaurant in the heart of cochin city with both Veg and non veg menu. Fish curry Meals,Fried rice and chilly chicken are famous, they have special counter for tea and snacks out side the restaurant.

I used to go.for evening team and snaks only. There rolls pazhampori and kesari is good. Other than this every snaks are average. Have tea coffee leamon tea and lime juice

Good place to have a lunch with fish curry meals. Good atmosphere to dine with your family. Ambience is bit old fashioned. Not maintaining properly. Better to avoid: Fried rice & chilly chicken. House keeping needs to be improved.
Lunch is good, like homley food. Fish curry meals is priced at 200, which i felt is on slightly higher side. The waiters keep on saying that fish curry is a default inclusion so that you will order fish curry meals
