Madurai special Jigarthanda now in Kochi !!! I have tasted the Madurai one, so I can say this one is almost similar in taste and texture !!! Ambiance is clean ! Must try !!!!!

Said to be a franchise of the Famous Jigarthanda , Madurai. Tastes more like cooled down paal ada payasam. Added almond glue is said to be a coolant for body and kulfi ice cream adds taste. People who hate kalau will hate this too. The shop is at kacheripady on the side to Radhakrishna Textiles. Service is by the owner himself and is helpfull in giving an intro about the story behind Jigarthanda. All the stuff comes directly from the original owners itself and is not made here. A bit pricey and parcel charges are unacceptably high saying that 10 per glass is too much for parcel charges and not ry sure how it is going to bring in the crowd with that kind of pricing. Overall a good place to taste something so famous among locals of Madurai.

If you're like Jigarthanda, this is one of the few places (only one I know so far) in kochi to get it. If you don't know what it is, come and see. But besides this and their different sarbath, there isn't much.
