SHIVKUMAR SALUNKE PATIL

Located near Railway station. And main Market Area. Typical South Indian dishes.
Restaurant is not so clean.
Food is average
Service sometimes slow.
If you go there by its name, then you'll be disappointed. This, is not a Cafe, a hip place where youngsters chill out. No. But this, is instead the oldest outlet in the city, serving south indian delicacies.
Interior reminds me of restaurants from the Mumbai Chawls. The lanes of Churchgate, Charni road etc are exactly the same structure.
Food, is value for money and authentic south indian. Nothing too fancy, but basic and best. Piping hot sambar doing rounds by efficient serving guys, while you binge on Wada sambar, idli, dosa and uttppams. Also, lipsmacking dahi wada are worth trying.
My favorites: Medu wada Sambar and Dahi Wada. And, Rava dosa.
Recently I visited this famous south indian food outlet CHAWLA CAFE, Gandhidham. This is the first south indian food outlet of the city. From 1989 i enjoyed DOSA in this cafe. Old style seating arrangement and no classy interiors but pure and authentic south indian taste is the main USP. Dosa, Uttapam and fresh juice is very popular dishes. Shetty Family run this cafe from 2 generation. Local authority gave named a CHAWLA CHOWK of this area. Must visit place and reccomadable...
Better sambhar than any other restaurants in Gandhidham. Their dosas are of size which is I think good enough for one person. I personally like their mysore masala dosa which is enough for 1 time meal .
The food was okay. Fast service. Prices little high for the food as per the quality.
Chawla Cafe in gandhidham is 80 years old
It is the first hotel of gandhidham.
Best place to have your breakfast 😋 and its very neat and clean 👌
Must try out south Indian dishes 😋
I recently visited gandhidham for my exams & main problem i faced there was regarding food as i am not fond of gujrati & jain thali culture..
I was looking for a place which can deliver mumbai style food & luckily my frnd sanjay suggested me this cafe..
When i visited this cafe for first time,
I got that old school irani cafe vibes which made me feel like @ home in mumbai..
When it comes to food...
Boy ohh Boy... it was delicious & wayyy more pocket friendly...
I order chole bhature + pulav & my bill was just 120/- which was quite shocking 😅
Staff & manager are quite friendly too..
They do deliver via zomato aslo🙌
Fried Idli Must Give Try Mouth’s Licking
Should only eat south indian. Rest of the food doesn't have taste at par
You will test proper south Indian dishes and quality is also good with affordable prices.
