Lhasa Newar isn't just your regular restaurant – it's a cultural journey wrapped in dining bliss. The vibe here? Think of it as being in this vibrant classroom where you're not just eating; you're soaking in the rich flavors of Newar and Tibetan cultures through every bite, decor piece, and the way the staff treats you. Every corner tells a story adorned with authentic wall art and artifacts that serve as windows into the rich heritage of these regions. And let me tell you, having a meal here isn't just about devouring tasty food. It's like getting a crash course in the history and traditions behind these amazing dishes. What's cool is how the staff goes out of their way to chat about the food and cultural tidbits. It's like they're inviting you to dive deeper into this whole cultural experience. And hey, making our own pizzas was a highlight! It took the fantastic cuisine up a notch. But it's not just about what's on your plate; it's about soaking up the vibe of this beautiful place. The staff's friendly vibes and their eagerness to share insights about the dishes made it all feel so genuine.

Vibe check 100% recommended. Awesome view. Their Nepali food & steam momos 10/10. Plus their staff & manager also let you know about their restaurant & delicious dishes, also arranged cab for us. Please try their special cocktails (Khattu Master & Spicy Cocktail)

I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough! Firstly, the decor is fabulous and overall the place has a very cool but relaxed vibe. The staff were incredible, very helpful and more than happy to chat to us about the menu and the local area. We were there with a group of friends so we shared lots of starters and light bites. We love Indian and Nepali food, but after two weeks in India, we could not resist the pizza and wow it did not disappoint! A yummy pizza and a glass of wine, what more could you ask for! Thank you for looking after us so well!!

I recently dined at Lhasa Newar and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with a lovely and laid-back atmosphere that really set the tone for a relaxing evening. One of the highlights of our visit was the bonfire, which added a cozy touch to the already charming setting. We ordered pizza, and it was absolutely delicious - one of the best I've had in a long time. The crust was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were fresh and flavourful. Throughout the evening, our host was extremely friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff is truly outstanding, the food is exceptional, and the ambiance is perfect for a night out with friends.

Lets get right to it: Cant give it anything less than 5 stars!!, Lhasa Newar serves Nepali, Tibetian and Italian food. quite a combo right. We tried the Momos which were amazing, we tried the Nepali thali which was mesmerising and had this amazing opportunity with Chef Chhewang to try and make a thin crust wood fired Pizza. The food is lip smacking and very unique and we loved the ambiance, the taste, the service and the company. the pizza making experience was really great (Although chef did 70% of the work :D) A truly unique experience when in gangtok, not to be missed. PS: Do try their kickass Cappucino and other coffee options.

The staff is very welcoming, it's a small & Cozy place with a rustic vibe. They serve Tibetan and Newari cuisine and some Italian dishes. Food is good. The location is a little remote if you're a tourist. If you're on a visit to bakthang waterfalls you can explore the same.

Amazing food that is worth for buck. We wanted to try the thakali thali and were not disappointed at all. The exquisite ambience of the place is matched with the great sense of hospitality and humility of the staff. I wish they continue with their above par service and it would be a delight to come back again in future whenever we visit Gangtok.

Indulged in a cultural feast at a Newari and Tibetan gem – a symphony of love, impeccable ambiance, and delectable dishes. From the warmth of the staff to the owner's cultural insights, every moment was a delight. The DIY pizza stole the show, making it my absolute favorite spot. An experience worth repeating, highly recommended for those craving a fusion of flavors and cultural richness
