It was one of the interesting places. Seems to be one of the places for office parties. We had ordered chicken dimsums and a dessert (Coconut Panna cotta in mango sauce). The food was really tasty. Though it felt so they believed in the michelin star philosophy. The quantity of the food was pretty less w.r.t the prices they were charging. The ambience was pretty decent. You do get a feel of having a lunch in an authentic oriental restaurant.
amazing ambience and perfect place for light music and good food and drinks. Great place for ribs and sushi! Don’t miss the devilled eggs but stay away from the tacos. It’s roti an chicken. Definitely my go to with friends
Really nice bar - I love the woody interiors & they lend a nice vibe to the place. Service is friendly & drinks are good. I would recommend the cocktails otherwise a chilled Asahi or shots of Sake are also a good bet, considering the Japanese theme. Perfect for having conversations with a small group over drinks.
This place is so Japanese.. as in the ambiance , the food , sply the drinks where you will find nowhere in the city !! Saki so authentic that you have never tried before... the food is also good sushi or you ask for Chinese starters or main . Many options to choose from . Good place to go on a Date or chill with your friends
Awesome ambience , One of the best place for fine dine in sector 29 . Food is pretty average but full marks for the ambience .Bar is the most valuable point.
Elegant interiors with mood lighting and high end cocktails - this summarises my experience at Boho.
The fine cocktails are what you must not miss if you end up going to this place. I have developed a likeness towards Gin cocktails and I was highly impressed with the concoctions served here.
Gin & Roses was my absolute favourite and highly recommended for Gin lovers. The blend of gin , dill and rose syrup , fresh lime and egg white gave the cocktail a flavour I savoured ! The presentation was on the mark and I enjoyed 2-3 servings of this cocktail !
Herbaceous: For the scotch lovers consisting of a mix of fresh lime, Campari, elderflower syrup and mint leaves. The flavours blended in very well and a must try for scotch lovers !
Mogami- My second favourite spirit is Bourbon and for those who like a fruity cocktail this one is a must try. It has a mix of mango, fresh lime, junmai sake and bourbon. The tropical flavour makes this drink very refreshing.
Norwegian salmon pizza & Akami Tuna pizza. I requested for a half and half of these two types. The crunchy tortilla based pizza was topped with rucola, avocado, wasabi, mayonnaise, cherry tomato and caper berry along with thin slices of salmon. The other half had akami tuna, kalamita olives, mayo, red onion, spicy tomato salsa and jalapeño. I savoured the salmon half more as I have a bias towards the fish however, the tuna half was also delicious. This dish is highly recommended!
The kakuni pork bao is another highly recommended dish. The succulent pieces of pork were rightly flavoured with cinnamon and ginger sauce. I relished every bite of the well cooked meat.
Prawn age gyoza: crispy deep fried dumplings served with a spicy sauce. This was my first try of deep fried dumplings. They were crunchy and the stuffing was good to taste. Though I have a palate for steamed dumplings, these were a good try.
Chicken wings: Chicken wings served with spicy, sweet and sour sauce. The meat was soft and very well cooked. The sauce was aptly sweet and spicy. This is a must try !
I tried the dark chocolate and cinnamon semifreddo among desserts. The semifreddo of Belgian dark chocolate was served with chocolate chocolate cream and bits. It has a flavour different from your usual chocolate desserts and you must be ready to try something different from the usual when you order this. Definitely a good try !
All in all, I had a lovely experience at this place with my friends. We enjoyed the ambience with good music, service and amazing cocktails paired with small bites. I’d love to visit this place again !
An awesome party place with stylish and minimalist japanese environment located at the basement of beloved Nagai restaurant. Most of the food dishes are from Nagai itself. The attraction of this place is uber cool cocktail collection.
We had some of the best gin and whiskey based cocktails here and we loved it. The detail of the cocktails:-
herbaceous - scotch based refreshing cocktail blended with fresh lime juice, campari, elderflower syrup, mint leaves
gin n roses - Gin, dill and rose syrup infused with fresh lime juice and egg white
mogami - Bourbon with fresh mango, an unusual combination with junmai sake and fresh lime juice
negroni - strong, bitter gin based cocktail infused with campari, sweet vermouth and orange zest
clover club - Gin based Pinkish cocktail with raspberries, fresh lime juice and egg white
My favorite from here was herbaceous and negroni. Negroni is for strong bitter cocktail lovers. Herbaceous was full of different flavor and colors.
Coming to small bites and food we enjoyed:-
Chicken wings - Nagai chicken wings served with spicy, sweet and sour sauce
prawn age gyoza - crispy deep fried dumplings served with a spicy sauce
jalepeno chicken poppers - fried stuffed jalepeno poppers with chicken and cheddar cheese
Kakuni pork bao - braised pork belly with cinnamon and ginger sauce
norwegian salmon pizza - tortilla base pizza topped with rucola, avocado, wasabi mayonnaise, cherry tomato and caper berry
Akami tuna pizza - Tortilla base pizza topped with akami tuna, kalamata olives, mayo, red onion, spicy tomato salsa and jalepeno
Rainbow roll - prawn, crab stick, tomago, avocado, cucumber
Grilled chicken tacos filled with fajita veggies, homemade salsa, lettuce, cheese with black bean sauce.
From all of these dishes, kakuni pork bao, salmon & tuna pizza and chicken wings stand out! The bao was stuffed with juicy and delicious pork belly, this is a must one here.
From dessert I loved,
Dark chocolate and cinnamon semifreddo - semifreddo of belgian dark chocolate served with dark chocolate bits and chocolate cream
Apple and cinnamon millefeuille - puffy millefeuille served with homemade apple compote and vanilla gelato
An overwhelming experience, definitely a place not to be missed.
Their basement sitting is quite intimate and the volume of music is also quite low so you can easily talk. Food was quite wholesome. Things that I tried and would love to recommend are :
Chilli garlic & ginger chicken Asian market bowl
Teriyaki chicken bao
Fish fingers sweet chilli
Kara Kara sushi
Boho by Nagai located at sec 29 in Gurgaon , at this central location for people around the area is one amazing place and one tongue wagging experience where food is concerned. This fine dining restaurant offers Japnese cuisine and is already popular amongst people. I must say their depiction of Japnese theme and warm and friendly staff makes your experience worth it!
Now lets talk about their Food.
We started with Soup being our choice to begin with. We ordered Tom Kha soup and Tom yum soup both veg , we ordered a mocktail as well Spicey watermelon. I must say the soups were yummy and mocktail is really very refreshing especially to beat the heat in Delhi.
And if u come to a Japnese restaurant n u havent ordered Sushi, then theres no point going to a Japnese restaurant . We ordered veg Sushi Dragon and Rainbow sushi with prawns n crabs , both the dishes were very well presented , very well cooked and tasted really good. We also ordered Veg bao here i found soya sauce a little extra in them.
Next in our ordering list was Non veg Thai green curry Was good too and i ordered it with noodles. I strongly recommend all the above mentioned dishes.
And finally we explored some mouth watering Deserts to conclude oyr visit at this place. I ordered a chocolate desert and Apple pie and loaded some extra calories which i have no guilt about.
My over all experience at this place was more than satisfactory and i am surely coming here again.
This place has blended the goodness of Nagai with cool Bohemian vibes to give us a great cocktail menu with a simple bites menu. No fluff, no over the top acclaims, just a simple bar serving extraordinary dishes.
My past experience with Nagai, the Japanese/Asian restaurant next to Gymkhana Club in Sector 29 had always been great. So, when I heard that they had converted the basement into a bar called Boho by Nagai, I marked my calendar for a visit.
The team at Nagai basically has blended the goodness of Nagai with Bohemian vibes making this a great cocktail bar. the music is not so loud, the lighting is so perfect and the sitting so private yet open. The walls adorn some very creative paintings which I am told are put with collaboration with artists who have put them on sale.
The service is quite good as expected. Nagai is one of the best Japanese/Asian restaurants in Gurgaon, partly due to its perfect service and Boho doesn't disappoint either. The recommendations of the staff are always worth heeding too. So this time too, I nudged the guy to help me with the menu.
The menu itself is great. I am not a big fan of Menus which look like tomes of archeologists. Some eateries just try to do too much. The Menu at Boho fits on an A3 sheet. Simple and has just the right things you want with your drinks. My first recommendation would be Gambas Al Ajilo. One of the best prawns I have ever had. The come on a sizzler plate with the shrilling sound of hot chili garlic oil. You eat them with garlic bread and just go wow.
If you like Baos the Teriyaki Chicken Bao is a quick snack to grab. Nothing fancy, your routine Bao just done right. They also have adopted items from the Nagai menu like the Sushi, but I already eat Sushi upstairs all the time so skipped it at Boho. Instead, I went with the staff recommendation of AkamiTuna Pizza. If you are a seafood/fish/tuna fan you will love it. It is like an acquired taste. Not everyone I believe will love it. But it bowled me over.
Staying with the fish family I also tasted their Calamari. Again fried well, served with tartar sauce it tasted great. These guys make good seafood I guess because the fish tastes so fresh. It makes a hell lot of difference to the taste.
Desserts are not something you look forward to at a bar, but I do. The moment I read the menu I knew that they were same as they serve at Nagai. They just have 3 options and it is a challenge to decide which not to eat. All three are perfect.
But that's not the story here. The story of the bar is the bar. I always see at most bars, cocktails are not that great. Somehow, something always disappoints me. Might be too much sugar or soda or ice, something is off. Here what I liked was the preparation was great. Quantity is not that flowing but taste wise, it's good. I tried Herbacious, Mogami and Golden Andean. Loved all three of them but loved Herbacious more. Then I was told that Golden Andean is one of its kind drink in Gurgaon. The reason, they use Pisco a Peruvian drink which is stored and made in earthenware. You can feel that earthy tinge in your cocktail and it feels so good.
What is awesome at this place?
Almost everything. Location, Food, Service, Ambience.
What is not so awesome at this place?
Ah the prices, wish they could have been lower.
And the enterance is via the Nagai restaurant.
Lemme take you through my exquisitive experience of this amazing place, BoHo sec 29 Gurgaon. The popularity of this restaurant is winning everyone's hearts with its superb portrayal of Japanese culture depicted by interiors of this place . They are doing an awesome job by sticking to its charm of Japan theme and having people to experience it . The staff here welcomes every one with a warm smile and positive vibes.
Now let's get our Tongues wagging !
Boho by Nagai has opened recently a fine dining restaurant ,you get the food vibe flowing all over the place. The authenticity of Food that u barely find in other restaurants ,u get that here.
If you are here at Gurgaon ,you must try this . There is a variety of dishes from the fusion and normal range .
In starters Tom kha Soup n tom yum both r awesome n first Mocktail spicy watermelon based drink then I had sushi veg Dragon roll n Rainbow sushi both looks very well presented , then we had fish tikka n tandoori prawns both are pretty gud n also had veg bao but i find bit over soya sauce .
Then we had non veg bowl with based own as on noodles n then green thai curry gravy n some veg some non veg . I strongly recommend these dishes .
To start with , we had mocktail watermelon along with normal virgin mojito and seriously awesome drink . What fancy names of the drinks ,I must say.Even dishes have different names too .
My all time favourite chocolate desert was completely next level ,yummy and mouth watering. I feel my food would have been incomplete without this .You would be missing something if you would not try it. Also I couldn't leave this place without eating let me surprise you with Apple pie .I couldn't resist my self to load my tummy more with the deserts to satisfy my sweet tooth.
My over all experience at this staff friendly and beautifully done place was amazing and I am really looking forward to visiting them again .. Boho ...
BoHo by Nagai, Delhi's first global Asian bar just opened next to the pallazio hotel, somewhat away from the bustling sector 29 market. This place is huge with different seating options as well as a bar seating area. They have an interesting variety of starters and cocktails. Tried quite a number of dishes like bruchetta, mini pizza, tacos, patatas brvas, fish finger, chicken teriyaki. All tasted great and my personal favorite being the fish finger and mini pizza. Tried few drinks with different combinations. Some were great, some average but kinda refreshing. And the sake bomb was the highlight of the night. They have karaoke nights too which are obviously fun. Overall, a great place definitely worth visiting for the party lover in you.
A must place to visit for Japanese Cuisine ... If u are a vegetarian still you will not get disappointed , they have delectable, scrumptious vegetarian dishes too..
In addition waiters have a good knowledge of ingredients and cuisine so they can better guide you on food options.Ambiance is ok .
One of its kind Japanese Bar within the vicinity of Nagai. If you've never been to any Japanese Bar so far, then this is the right place.
Amazing ambiance, amazing music, and most importantly amazing food which is so brilliant that whatever you may order it goes very well with their signature cocktails as well as Non signatures too.
Light on tummy however, if you love Pan Asian Cuisine, then this is the right place for you to munch on their delicious menu. Not even the appetizers but, the main course is amazing too.
I've beautifully tried capturing all the pictures possible for BOHO by Nagai and would leave you with few recommendations that you might like to try.
Cocktails : Saijo West Side, Uptown, Honour of President & Herbaceous.
Food : Gambas Al Ajillo, Kakuni Pork Bao, Asian mixed seafood market Bowl.
