Went here for the food and were not disappointed. Had the mutton and chicken thali and it was delicious. Simple, homely and not too heavy on the pocket. The staff was very accommodating and the toilet was clean.
Tried their Assamese non veg thali. was a great way to try out varied dishes. I particularly liked the fish curry dish. Definitely worth a try
I was looking for an authentic Assamese restaurant and our guide suggested this restaurant. I was planning to go for the Parampara thali however I have pigeons as pets and can't think of eating them so I avoided that. I took the second option, non veg thali and it's awesome. It was less oily and felt very healthy yet tasty. Their ambiance is also nice. It's a very good option for a family lunch or dinner.
Me and my family went for lunch there. One of the places in Guwahati to get authentic Assamese food.
This is one of the places that ages like fine wine. I have been coming here since I was a kid, and the charm, food quality as well as the courteous staff never fail to impress me. If you're visiting the North East, this place is should be a must in your go to list.
Simply awesome.. It's a complete experience, the way they treat you, guide you for the right food choice and above all the authentic taste.. it's just fabulous. Any food enthusiastic shouldn't miss this place at any cost. Would love hop in again once in Guwahati. Keep it up, bid thumbs up 👍👍
Loved the ambience and the service. Lovely Assamese songs in the background. We got the parampara thali and it had duck meat, mutton, fish of 2 varieties, kheer, dal, pitika(aloo), bamboo, and more cooked in mustard oil. We paid rs. 650 for this and was worth it. We recommend going here.
We were visiting from Scotland and I need gluten free food. Were looking for breakfast and stumbled onto the aptly named paradise. The atmosphere was perfectly calm amongst the bustle of Guwahati. The service was impeccable and the amount of food was great. Had the vegetable thali and it was delicious. Only one thing in the platter I didn't try, though we think it was made of chickpea and not wheat. Highly recommend anyone looking for delicious food eat here. We went back and had lunch the next day. If i am ever in Guwahati again I will eat here!
One of the oldest and best restaurants serving authentic Assamese thalis. Whenever I am in town I make it a point to visit and relish their amazing food.
Decor wise it’s simple and more authentic Assamese touches can be added to further enhance the feels.
Went visited this place with our entire joint family.
It was a thali party. Since we were 20 of us, the service took a while.
Each of us got the classic Assamese thali.
The thali had every common household spread including fish and Khar.
All of them suited our taste buds, stomach and was very satisfying.
I hope they have upheld the same quality after 2021. If yes, we will visit again.
