We tried a veg thali and normal chicken thali. Loved all the items served in this restaurant. The staff was polite and courteous. A must visit for people who want to try authentic assamese cuisine here. Rates are reasonable too.

Very much authentic food. Simple yet tasty, and variety if dishes with homogeneous standard of quality. Tried The normal Pork thali and Mising Chicken thali. Very nice. Courteous staff. Just one thing Ambience is not the best and too much hustle and bustle. Lack of parking space.

It’s my first visit to the city and one of my friend recommended this place and trust my word, I’m in love with the Mising Pork Thali. It is definitely a must have. Honestly I’ve never had so many varieties of Pork and each of them tasted utterly delicious. Their choice of rice in the thali is also tasty.

Visiting this place is just like visiting your great grandma's place where she would overwhelm you with authentic Assamese food. The staff working there are so friendly they make you feel like home!! The rush of people is the only thing as the place is always jam packed but hey, can you complain?!! As soon as you are presented the thali it gives you a warm hug and u smile and eat and voila you just had the best meal of your life!!

We just visited Mising Kitchen on our way to Shillong from Guwahati and so glad to tried it out.

Place is big and very spacious making it family friendly - our 18.5mo old had a good time running around and exploring the restaurant.

Staff is very warm and friendly and overall place is pretty clean.

Food comes fast and is very tasty - we tried mising chicken and pork thalis. Both very good but pork was superior and meat was softer - chicken on the other hand was a bit tougher as a meat but some pieces were tender as well.

5 different daals and 4 different meat preparations, fish, rice and kheer - they refill rice and daals as much as one wants :)

Amazing value for money and very good food. Would highly recommend and come again when in the area :)

They serve you authentic assamese cuisine. We ordered mising duck thali and mising pork thali. They serve you unlimited food. Service is quick and courteous. Fully crowded. You need to wait to actually get a table. But its worth the wait. Must visit!

The best authentic Mising thalis in Guwahati. My only experience of Mising food was home cooked meals at my friend's place. The food here is similar to the food that I had tasted at her home.

We took two Mising Pork Thalis and we kept on eating until we were full. It was delicious, with several items, which keeps getting replenished. We couldn't even wait for a second in order to click a few pictures because our mouths were literally watering when the Thalis were put on our table.

I have been here twice and I have had the Mising Pork Thali both times. My next plan is to visit this place again and try the duck items because I have heard a lot about it.

Also, great service. Good job Mising Kitchen.

Mising Kitchen, as the name suggests, specializes in Mising delicacies.

We went there on Friendship day so the place was packed full of people. We were greeted with smiles and were told to wait for some time until a table was unoccupied. We waited for 15mins in total.

We ordered a Mising pork thali and a paneer thali. The Pork Thali was amazing, with generous amounts served and great varieties of side dishes. The paneer was a bit disappointing as it was a bit too sweet.

Overall the service was good and the food was great. The only thing they need to do is to make arrangements to occupy more customers.

The go to place in Guwahati if you want to try some authentic Guwahati local cuisine and especially if you love pork. I had the pork thali. They serve 4 different varieties of prok. Bamboo, curry, fry and leafy. All were amazing to taste. The thali has unlimited serving. The place also serves fish, chicken and duck , again a delight. The staff is extremely polite and happy to feed you and keep you comfortable Very polite staff. First time have experienced a restaurant pushing to have more food even for an unlimited Thali. Great experience and great taste.

A classic Assamese restaurant with authentic soul food if you want to try some authentic mouth watering local food. The restaurant as well the staff is very original and very down to earth and not too flashy. Some might find it not aesthetically fit for their Instagram reels. But the food justifies everything about the name the outlet comes with. Tried the spcl pork thali along with pork fry and duck fry which was very minutely curated and cooked to perfection.

Before I start reviewing, I would like to state that don't ever believe those 1 star reviews mentioned of this beautiful gem of restaurant. Neither is it over-priced nor is the food items all look and taste same. Just envious negative reviewers spreading false hate. Food - 5/5. We ordered Mising Pork Thali which is 470 per thali. It is true the price have increased since 2017, which is last time I visited. But let me clarify in the thali you are offered 3 variants of Pork (Curry based, One Pumpkin-Curry based and one variant being Smoked Pork - all variants had 2 giant portion of meat); they also offered one Chicken item cooked in Pig's blood (Aran) and 2 fish variants (one fried and one being mashed). They also provided 2 variants of dal (yellow and urad), one veg sabji (I think it was potato pumpkin based), one khaar item, mashed potato and spinach-potato fry sabji. For all these items and the quantity, 470 in year 2023 seems justified. Quality of the cooked food is still the best and authentic as per Missing tribe way of preparation. Service - 5/5. We were lucky to enter restaurant just 20 mins before busy hour. So, the beautiful service lady took our order and also ensured that whatever table she is attending too she meticulously looks to customer needs. She used to check up on us every 10 mins if we have any concern or need of refill of rice or sort. Atmosphere - 4.5/5. The table was polished but I only deducted 0.5 because the walls of the restaurant is in dire nend of a re-paint as it looks a bit old and weary. The cleaning staff should also ensure entrance is cleaned of dust in the entry staircase. Rest the wash basin and other areas seemed pretty clean. Final verdict: Please visit the restaurant to try authentic Mising tribe food. Probably the best in Guwahati hands down. Try out the food first before blindly believing and spreading hate towards it. Also, the restaurant gets busy during weekends esp Sunday during lunch hour so pick your time properly if you are an impatient person who cannot wait. 😄

Ethnic tribal traditional dishes that you must try. The way they serve the main item in different styles were very unique. The price are also reasonable, stuff are polite, sometimes the restaurant get crowded and then you'll have to wait. The restaurant have only two basin and one toilet, so you might have to wait in a queue. Recommend to try atleast once.

Best place for ethnic food in cheap price. Serves best with Quality and Quantity. The staff have polite behavior and pay attention to each customer’s needs in time. Highly recommend their “khaar”, the best tasting so far. Want to fill your tummy with no fancy meal? This is the place!! This is it!! Cons: A bit crowded sometimes

The ambience, well-behaved staff, fast service, the flavor- no doubt Missing Kitchen remains packed with guests all day long. If you are into ethnic food, this is a must-visit place. The non veg thali comes with a variety of items, including 4-5 bowls of different non veg items, veg items, including khar, vegetables, lentils, chutney, and at the end kheer. The portion of each item is enough to fill two person and refill at no extra cost is also available. One of Guwahati's best gems in the field of ethnic food.

Mising Pork thali, I bet you would say "Oh my god, I can't finish anymore!" 😀😀.... And for fish thali you would say " Oh my god, I haven't seen such a big piece of fish in a fish thali"... 😄😄😄.... If "Value for Money" had a Dictionary meaning, then "Thali at Mising Kitchen" would probably be the best meaning of that.

They were extremely crowded when we visited. It was a sunday at around 9pm but within 10min we got a table for 4. The best thing about them is that they maintain their quality of their dishes that's what keeps them crowded always. Tried their Bhakuwa fish boil with outenga it was so good. Best place for traditional meals.

We ordered Fish Thali and Chicken Thali, Rice and dal unlimited and all curry and sweet limited. Thali doesn't have starters, I found it's a bit expensive, Rs.460/thali. The overall food quality is good and can be tried especially if you like traditional Asaan style food.
