The ambience is awesome and the food is good too. The starters were very tasty, and the desserts were awesome as well. The pictures attached will prove to my review.

Just awesome food, excellent quality , good service , and very good environment, you can have either alakarte or buffet, this time I tried buffet but for sure next time I am going to try their special menu items.

I was here for lunch last Saturday...loved the ambience...I didn't go for their buffet but took Ala-Carte.Had chicken soup with seafood it was very light and tasty...the lamb ribs were heaven,it was just melt in mouth a must have if you are into chili lamb experience,Thai dumplings were just wow and the prawn sticks were a just yummm...we ended with lychee and mandarin orange mocktail...the lychee one was too sweet due to too much syrup...else overall the service and food is a big thumbs up.

Excellent service with good ambience..we tried lemon pepper chicken soup that taste unexpectedly good..and the mocktails have lot of varieties and are too good..just a bit over priced..advise you to visit to serve you better

The best place for Chinese food at Kolkata..The ambience is great .Service is timely and the waiters are also great. Better to avoid the buffet opinions available because those are not so great at all.

Very good place to celebrate your birthday with free b'day cake and background b'day music.

I visited the place a few number of times and my rating is mainly for the behavior of the staffs. Extremely well behaved and polite staffs are a big plus point of that restaurant. I was there with my mother on my birthday(Nov 2014). While filling up the review I did put my DOB. This was after we asked for the bill. However they noticed the date and arranged for a beautiful small cake and a candle which made my day :) . Apart from their great hospitality the food was also good and the ambiance was nice. I went to this place 3 more times and every time I found it nice.

First of all I have to say that you will get a very well hospitality and delicate experience of Chinese food. I would like to recommend fish preparation here and other preparation r really good as well. Very clean place it is for having a dining with your family. I'm very satisfied with this place. But one thing they should improve their chicken preparation because chicken pieces can be made further softer . But overall experience is too satisfactory.

Great place to hang out with the family members. Lots of good quality dishes are available. Great ambience with awesome atmosphere. The staff of the house are very much cordial and polite also helpfull. The price of the dishes are costly.

A restaurant where you can find authentic Chinese dishes. A good place for groups and couples. There are a wide variety of spicy and non spicy food so kids can easily accompany their parents and elders. A nicely decorated place with beautiful furnitures and cutleries and light music makes the ambiance very soothing and refreshing. The starters are very delicious. They have a large range of desserts and soft drinks. The restroom is very clean and well maintained. You can also book the place for private functions like birthday, anniversary etc. Now when we are going for dinning then finger bowls are served but when we attend private functions we need a basin to wash hands outside the restroom.

This place has a very good ambience, staff are very well mannered and very courtiers if I remember correctly Mr Animesh who served us was very helpful polite and courteous. They were others also who assisted us. Overall it's a nice place for family dinner. Looking forward to visit again in the future. Last but not the least thank you Mainland China for the complimentary dessert. That was totally unexpected. Thank you, love you all and God bless.

The menu at the Avani Riverside Mall seemed a bit restricted compared to the other Mainland China outlets that we have visited. The food and drinks were of the standard expected from the chain.

I would have given 5 stars if I was at any other branch of mainland china rathet than this one. The food was no doubt finger licking. You would be satisfied with both the quality and the quantity of the food. But the behavior of the waiters were not at all good. They were staring all the time. Not at all courteous. I have not experienced such in any other branch that I have visited in the past. This lowers the reputation of the franchise.<br/>Now lets come to the good part.<br/>I had thai style chicken dumplings which were so soft that would just melt in your mouth. The mixed veg fried rice and chili basil fish in a clay pot was good too. Though the rice was not properly cooked. But the fish was fresh. Do visit mainland china but not this branch.

The ambience is good, can give you a exact China feeling.. Apart from that service was very very late. I deducted 2 star for that reason, I don't know what made them do so. The dimsum was cold from inside , I loved the chicken and noodles as well.. Due to shortage of time we couldn't try the dessert.. I expect a bit faster service next time.

We tried buffet here and it was really reasonable. (699 with tax, per person). There were a fair variety of starters, main course and desserts. Dragon chicken lollipop was not that good, but fried veggies and soup were delicious and texture of fish was fresh. Coming to main course, rice was much better than noodles but garlic prawn need a special mention. Kiwi flavored ice cream was too good.<br/>Ambience and decor was undoubtedly beautiful. Service was quick and good.

If you wanna have the most tasty Chinese food with classy ambience then Mainland China is one of the best options. Each and every item is so tasty. The Singapore rice noodles was very fine in its quality and the Taipei chicken was also one of the tastiest ones.

Cantonese noodles with stir fried seasonal vegetables (spicy) were great. Loved the pineapple and ginger frappe. Appreciate the ambience and almost silent restaurant. I come here especially for that little red sauce which is sweet and spicy in taste, kept on every table.

In one word 'Mainland China' is just fabulous. They served really good, authentic Chinese food at any time. I ordered a-la carte items - crispy corn, king prawn hunan style, chili oyster bhetki, Tsing hoi chicken and mixed sea food in hot pot along with egg rice and wok tossed hakka noodles. All the items were really good and delicious even elder members of my family who are not that fond of Chinese food still like Mainland China's food very much. Staffs are really good and very cordial. They always suggest you the better dish and correct quantity. Ambaiance is really cozy. It is little bit costly but they never comprise with quality.

Visit this restaurant on 2nd October with my friend. We loved the ambience and as it says, mainland China serves the best authentic Chinese, it truly does. One of the best buffets in Kolkata. The most delicious dish was mustard fish, frankly speaking I have never had such an awesome fish delicacy in my life that too being a Bengali I am saying this. So please go and enjoy 🙏

A proper Chinese restaurant in town.. Their foods are really too good.. It's located in Avani Riverside Mall& they have their an another outlet in Salt Lake..<br/>Qualities & quantities of foods were too good. This were above my expectations.. Food is good. But not up to the limit if we compare it with other branches of Mainland China. I guess only weekend buffet is available. If buffet is not available on weekdays then they should update the information available in Zomato. I guess they regularly check their zomato information as they give reply to each and every review. The only plus point is thst the buffet rate is low compare to other Mainland China outlets. As now it is time for clay pot festival we can have the opportunity to experience some traditional food habits of Chinese people.

This was my second time. Though first time I didnt have the opportunity to review but this till I will not give it a miss. Taste Redemption!<br/>I tried Mainland China buffet earlier and didn't quite like it. So this time around I was very apprehensive to visit that place to satiate my chinese craving.. And I went for ala carte menus<br/>Ambience : 4.5/5. I am more of a casual diner but ambience of this place deserve an applause. Special mention for the mandarin song being played.. So soothing<br/>Courtesy : 5/5. Staffs are extremely well trained and courteous. Big shout out!<br/>Food quality :4/5.. I am a chinese food lover and loved everything we ordered. We ordered 7 treasure chicken soup, Cantonese style chicken pan fried noodles and chicken tai pei. Chicken sizes could have been a little smaller<br/>Food quantity: 5/5.very filling for two people. Great portion sizes<br/>Hygiene : 3.5/5. The lap cloth could be cleaner a little bit.<br/>Overall experience :4.5/5<br/>I am a happy foodie today 😊

This is a very nice place for a dinner or lunch....they have one of the best buffets to try on ...the staffs are well behaved...the ambiance is very nice.... And the food is always the best if you know what you r ordering based on ur taste buds

On a Sunday, as pre-birthday celebration of mine, I and my friend went Mainland China(Shibpur Outlet at Avani Riverside Mall) for their weekend special lunch buffet.<br/>Mainland china serves their lunch and dinner buffet only on Saturday and Sunday.<br/>Lunch buffet costs around Rs.662(Including tax)<br/>The place is quite spacious and can accommodate I guess more than 50 people at a time.<br/>Theie service is quick and the staffs are friendly.<br/>Now coming to food-<br/>Firstly, they don't have any complimentary drink with their buffet,so we bought Mint Storm as chinese food can not be eaten without any beverages.<br/>Now menu-<br/>They have<br/>On starter-<br/>soup,<br/>Chicken dumplings(good quality),<br/>Drums of heaven(spicy but delicious),<br/>One preparation each of fish,potato and baby corn.<br/>On main course-<br/>Prawns singapore style<br/>Fish in sichuan chilli sauce<br/>General taos chicken<br/>Egg fried rice<br/>Veg fried rice<br/>Chinese pickle or kimchu<br/>Veg noodles and egg noodles<br/>And many more.<br/>On desserts -<br/>Four flavoured ice cream with separate sauce and crusts,<br/>Fresh watermelon,<br/>Chocolate rolls,<br/>Darshan( fruit custard)<br/>Overall it was good. Food quality was good. Only thing is that I think a complimentary drink can be given, otherwise as buffet it’s mouthwatering and worth the price.

The ambience is as usual very mesmerizing. Chinese cuisine when presented in a Chinese atmosphere, adds to the taste. We had ordered Taipei Chicken as the appetizer. The chicken was soft and the well cooked. Tasted amazing. It was followed by a portion of Chicken Fried rice and General Tao's chicken.<br/>Both quantity and quality of food was amazing.<br/>A must visit for everyone with a Chinese tooth.<br/>

It was a decent experience overall. Service and quality of food is good and consistent. <br/><br/>They should add the popular chinese black rice in their menu !

Ambiance is cool & Staffs are very friendly,polite & cooperative,almost trained to maintain good standard.<br/>Food is not up to the mark. Price is bit high as per quality & taste.<br/>perticular in this branch washroom is not clean & tap was broken.

Really good food and ambiance. Ordered the Cantonese rice noodles. Well made and mild in taste. Also 3 cheers for Zomato Gold. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed the buffet section yesterday. Food was ok. No complementary drinks were provided in this scorhing heat. But overall a nice experience! Staff was polite and cooperative!

It was there in my checklist for long time.as it is situated in avani mall which is a frequently visited place of mine it was obvious to visit it long ago but that didn't happen.so finally when I came here I was really happy.the sitting area was pretty huge, nice decor and staffs were courteous. We ordered chicken and straw mushroom dimsum (regular) but I suggest ordering large one because the dimsums were very small in size. We also ordered a pineapple and ginger frappe and hot Brownie sizzler.<br/>The dimsum was tasty but the sauces that came along with it were more tasty.the drink was very refreshing .The brownie was ok not something extraordinary.<br/>My overall experience was nice i can say.

Finally got a chance to visit this restaurant so close to my home. The hospitality and ambience were really soothing and calm, this maybe due to reaching for an early dinner. The staff are polite and well groomed. Food tasted more like Indo Chinese than authentic Chinese. I ordered burnt garlic noodles with veg and veg dumplings in chilli soya sauce. I would visit again to check out other items from the menu.

Went there few days before... I must say this place is a paradise for all chinese lovers.... True authentic chinese flavour which is found nowhere these days.... Loved the ambience & the polite service.... Thumbs up for this place👌👍❤

I really willing to attend a dinner night in Mainland China... Since 2013… We heard about their Buffet Service on Saturday & Sunday.. but didn't know that it's only for Lunch! Overall.. Mark my word.. you'll be pleased! The ambience it's just feel like you r in Really a chinatown Reputable Dinning restaurant. The wall decor.. Table setup.. Though I missed the Chop stick...! But it's thrilling to tell.. The taste of every Dishes is Mouth watering! From appetizer to Main course! I'm pleasure with every Dishes I ordered. From catch of the Day.. Pomfret Fish in Schezwan garlic sauce.. to.. Singapore Style Prawns in chilli garlic sauce. From Chicken Teriyaki to.. General Hun's Chicken.. from Singapore Glass noodles to.. Tobiko fried rice.. every Dishes speaking for itself!<br/>I'll come again to taste their bar Selection!

Quantity wise it was good but taste wise it is very good. Also loving behaviour of the employees make yhe food more spicier. We had a combo and it was mouth watering.

I've been there several times, ambience and food, specially dumpling items are really worthy. This place is one of my fevourite dinning destinations.

As the name suggests, the restaurant serves authentic Chinese cuisine. The food was awesome, especially, the prawn fried rice and the shredded chicken. I loved the food, ambience and the service.

Mainland China is not a new name. The ambience and decor is elegant like their res of the outlets. The service was really nice. My recommendation will be drums of heaven and chicken fragrant pit rice.

Staffs r so good. Ambiance is great. And the food..! Mouth watering dishes are waiting for u. The complimentary salads r just delicious. Must visit.

Ambiance was very good..feels like a real chinise place..pleasant music...and mostly the great staff facilty they are exteamly polite and anwsered all my questions..but the food is not good at all..like other expensive resturants..here the taste is not upto the mark..i have ordered chicken dimsum and mintsoda mocktail..both are not so special in terms of taste.

The anbience is awesome so as the food. Just ask for their all time menu chart...even if there is some special festival is going on... A-la-carte is preferred... Also try fish (basa) from this joint... I liked pan fried fish...

Very bad fooding experience.Rs 662 for buffet was not worth. Doesnot like it. No dishes were up to the mark . All foods were very much bland. Soup was very bad. Only deserts were good but only icecream mainly. Very bad

Combo meal on 399/- is sufficient for one person. Taste of chicken hakka noodles, fish with sauce of the day, darsan as sweet are specially very tasty. Drum of chicken, chicken fried rice, chicken of the day is also delicious. highly recommended place for this combo meal time and other time also. Delivery time is so quick and staffs are so polite.

One of the branches of this famous restaurant is located at the Avani riverside mall. The interiors are pretty good and the capacity it can hold is quite large. Food, as usual is awesome,and the staff, quite courteous and helpful.

Really very good resturant for Chinese. all the food is very good the prawn was awsome.and the mocktail was also good.a very big thumbs up.😍

Rating it a 5 star because of the ambience and the courteous staffs. We went there during Durga Puja..so we needed a pre booking. The place was good,clean. We tried fish items...it was yum! A must try for Chinese lovers in Kolkata.

My favorite place !<br/>The staffs over here are so well behaved and friendly that we love to visit them often.<br/>The food is always so fresh and they carefully listen to every instruction we give and make us the desired food. Once(only once) they failed to do so, they apologised and changed the food within minutes! I am literally their fan!<br/>The food, the desserts everything is finger licking good. So you all know about the ambiance here, I assume. <br/>The food is really nice here from soup to main course(didn’t try deserts here 🤦‍♀️). <br/>The portions are good too. <br/>Service was nice. Waiters were fully aware about the menu and the items. <br/>Waiting time wasn’t much. <br/>Slightly on pricey side. But once in a while you want to have a pocket pinch. Haha.

Mainland China is not a new name when it comes to having Chinese in Kolkata but they do have a whole new Menu which they introduced a few months back. So I took some time and visited to find out what's exactly new.<br/><br/>Speaking of Ambience, the place is quite spacious with the usual decor that it present in all of their  outlets. It's elegant, comfortable and creates a good experience around it's visitors.<br/>Service too, is accurate and timely. I have never faced any issues regarding delays or misbehaviour so thumbs up from my end.<br/><br/>Coming to Food, there is a lot new on the plate. One of the most biggest change I've noticed is their transition from Indo Chinese to True Chinese Cuisine. Even the dishes speak the change. Plus they have a whole new range of Food and Dessert. I don't think much has stayed from their Previous Menu at all.<br/>But overall, I loved what I had. The Whole Food has received a huge improvement in it's Taste and Quality. I'd say the Desserts were great but I've had even better. But the rest, absolute stunners.<br/>My recommendations would be Basil Chicken Dimsums, General Tao's Chicken , Burnt Garlic Fish with Seasonal Greens, Roasted Chicken Fried Rice and Coconut Caramel Custard.<br/><br/>What I've had :-<br/><br/>FOOD :<br/>1.
