It was a long pending visit to the Barkas and we could finally complete it yesterday. This area is pretty close to airport. We ordered the mutton mandi and it was pretty good. The rice was very nicely cooked and flavored. There were 3 mutton pieces . Good portion size. Liked the food along with the tomato gravy.
Food: very tasty. Definitely unique flavored and different from what we eat around hitech city
Ambience : it’s average. Really not recommended if you are a stickler to cleanliness. But if you are a foodie. It’s a one time visit . Also this place is open till 5 am itseems.
Price: is decent. Not high not low. Rs 500 for a 3 piece mutton mandi. Additional 3 pieces will cost you 400 bucks.
I would recommend this place if you are going towards old city or airport. But it’s not worth just going for the food if Incase you live in the IT side of the city .
Reaching out the place is a little difficult due to uneven roads but the place is awesome, it's a huge place and about the Mandi there , I liked it very much and also the service is quite fast. It's a good place to go with a group. It's a must try mandi joint in Hyderabad..
Mutton Mandi here is a must must try. Well cooked soft and juicy mutton is phenomenol. Matkha kheer is an add on.
The mutton serving alone pushed me to give 5stars.They could do much better regarding rice.
This place is an actual hidden gem of Hyderabad. After having Mandi in the first place I decided to head here for some authentic Arabic food. You guys must believe me when I say, Mataam Al Arabi’s food tastes closest to the authentic Arabic food you’ll find in Hyderabad.
Mutton Mandi : Usually in all the other mandis you’ll see them Indianizing the food but this place doesn’t. They don’t even give you mayonnaise. If you still want some, you’ll have to take that extra. Here it’s served with Tomato chutney which adds a lot to the taste. I still can’t forget the moment I received my mandi. I was flattered by the smell of the food. I got 3 huge pieces of Mutton but me being me ordered an extra piece of Fish.
Fish : The softest probably I have had in Hyderabad. It smells soo good. It tastes soo good. It looks soo good. I don’t what more to say.
Jump in here preferably in the night to enjoy the feel. That’s when it’s crowded and most happening.
I have always been here in late nights and their food never disappointed. During the nights the building looks so dark from outside it looks like it is closed but once we enter here, the place is fully crowded. The restaurant has three floors and all the seats are preoccupied even at 2am.

This is the best mandi you will ever have. The food is delicious. You might not like the ambience but trust me you will just love the food. You must try their Mutton Mandi.
I'd suggest this place if you are a first timer like me. If you don't like Mandi here, then assume Mandi is not your thing.
I tried Mandi for the first time at this place, tried at few other places after this and I must admit they serve the best Mandi. Anyways I realized Mandi is not my thing since it's basically biryani without masala and spices, to be short - it's plain biryani. Also, I didn't like the smashed tomato and Mandi combination.

I went with my family here, food is awesome, we ordered mix mandi for 2000/- in which you will get one chicken piece, three mutton piece, one solid fish, one Batair bird fried, salad, and mayonees. Its little bit long but food is delicious and tasty, Kaddu ki Kheer is a must try item there, and we also ate Kunafa which is Arabian dish and it was also fine, gulab jamun was also tasty. Overall experience here including, food, atmosphere, quality service is good.
I went there for lunch around 3:00pm. We ordered Special Faham Khabsa ( Rs450) , Matka rabdi and Apricot delight. Khabsa tasted good while the faham was a bit oily as it had fat added to it. Matka rabdi was good and apricot delight was different from others present in the market. Service was very good and a pretty good place to visit. They also serve haleem on FRI, SAT, SUN which costs Rs 200 single, Rs 300 full plate. Overall 3.8/5
Worth the long trip to Barkas, amazing food and very good quantity. Loved their Batair, Juicy Mutton, Fish and Chicken Mandi platter. Ample of parking and service was really good at midnight.

The food was good. I just didn't like the chicken one, but the rice was excellent and the service was okay, but I enjoyed it.
Very good place to visit with family. The food was very good and tasty, we ordered spcl chicken mandi, chicken faham mandi, mutton mandi and more… everything was very delicious 🤤. The dessert are also good specially kunafa… The service is also very good.

Mandi taste is very good. Mutton pieces were cooked properly and the juicy mutton was absolutely delicious. Mayonnaise and tomato chutney are also very good.

Very authentic Hyderabadi food. Mandi rice, mutton, fish and quail is what we tried with mutton soup and summed up with desserts like kunafa. The place is in Old Hyderabad. If you are a non-veg lover, you must try this place. They do accept digital payments. Hygiene could be better. I could see a few flies flying around.

Wow!!! What a place… what an experience… typical Arabic style eating. The dish “ mandi” was amazing… out of the world, fried fish too… and so was khubani ka meetha . Food lovers … go there and check it out… Bon appetite!!!
Decent food, mutton soup is very tasty, aseed is delicious too.. worth a visit once in a while.
