The Jouzi Halwa sold here is simply out of the world. The Nizam himself used to get this bought for his home and also to send to his b-i-l at Turkey. The shop also displays a Certificate from the Nizam.
Best in sweets and desserts. Anything you try from this place you never get disappointed. I have tried almost everything as it's authentic and one of my family's favourite sweet shop. We often prefer to order sweets from here on all occasions or generally.
Their Jouzi halwa is a must try. They also have ice creams which are unique and has awsome taste.

Hamedi Confectioner is the oldest confectionary shop in Hyderabad city. One of the legendary outlet for sweet tooth. Famous for jouzi halwa. Its a place you can satisfy authentic turkish tastes in sweets. Tried their baklava also. It was good.

We walked around, trying to figure out which the original Hameedi outlet was. I think we picked the wrong one, but, it was still a wonderful experience. There was a very welcoming old gentleman with a charm of the bygone era. We sample their Jauzi Halwa, Special Jauzi Halwa & Special Badam Halwa. My mum and I preferred the Jauzi Halwa to the Special Jauzi Halwa as we felt that the regular one brought out the flavours of the ingredients, better. It was very rich and heavy, though, so you can only have a little, in one go. We got boxes of Jauzi Halwa & the Special Badam Halwa, to take back home and everyone was struck by how wonderfully different the Jauzi halwa tasted. The Badam Halwa is good, but, not too different from what I've has before, whereas, the Jauzi halwa was just out of this world. Every visitor to Hyderabad must go here!
