Is located in 100 feet road, Kalyan west.
As the name says the Dhaba all arrangement are like village side dhaba's including seating arrangement also(bed type seating).
They have there own variety of food and quality of food is awesome & quantity is good.
We started with,
Shahi chicken have a semigravy in it as a starter.
We also have prawn soup is also good.
The service here is also quick and neat. Strongly recommended to have try to Shahi chicken.
The overall experience is good. Must give a visit with friends and family.

SPEECHLESS ABOUT FANOOS....A MUST VISIT PLACE ....I ALWAYS FEEL LIKE HOME WHENEVER I VISIT FANOOS....CHICKEN LAPETA ,KOKNI HANDI AND COUNTLESS TYPE OF SEA FOOD WITH YUMMY TASTE...A PLACE KNOWN FOR QUALITY FOOD ....RICH IN TASTE AND FRIENDLY ENVIORNMENT....
I have been here so many times. The ambience is not that great but they have these bed like seats with pillows which is good if you want to like just lay back and be more comfortable. I always come here to have the Chicken Biryani(Bit oily). I have had Chinese and Tandoori as well but the Biryani is something I strongly recommend you to have if you visit this place. There are other dishes as well but I only had few of them and I come to this place again and again just to have the Biryani.
So if you are from Kalyan, and haven't been here, then don't wait anymore. And if you are a Biryani lover then do visit this place.
Food quantity 5/5, quality 4/5, service 3/5. Food quality was good, but the main part that I liked was quantity it was a LOT. Also, the place is a bit on the outside, so not much traffic noise, it was calm and peaceful. I didn't expect good ambiance, so was cool with it. Overall good joint, definitely worth trying.

This is a place located in Raheja area of Kalyan city near Patri pool,which is easy to locate. It's a simple dhaba style place with quality food. I went there mid week so it was not so packed. We ordered chickrn tandoori ,chicken 65, chicken dabbang 2 kebab (yes thats the name of the kebab), and chicken banjara kebab for starters and chicken fanoos gravy(all in half quantity) and butter rotis for main course. The food took some time to arrive the table but it was worth it. The quantity and quality of the food served here was good. I would recommend banjara kebab and chicken fanoos gravy. The buttery taste of banjara kebab was lip smacking and half ripe papaya in chicken fanoos gravy was terrific!! It was d 1st time for me to try a fresh fruit in chicken gravy, it may sound absurd but it was delicious. The food is on the heavier side so I would recommend going ther with full empty stomach and diet concious people to stay as far as possible. And also while ordering any chicken dish or kebab you need to mention that you want boneless chicken because yaha pe kebab mein haddi hai😉.
Overall a nice place to enjoy dinner with friends and family!! Do give it a try.

My Food Journey – Review No.794
Faanoos is a historical word in Egyptian Arabic dictionary which means lamp/light. In Urdu usage, it is described as a glass which is used to protect the flame (shama) to enable the flame to keep alive.
I first heard about this place during my visit to Govindashram (Kalyan) early this month and while this place ‘Faanoos’ is pretty much hidden from the social-media circles, I decided to explore this place and I am glad I hit this place to unveil the hidden-gem which lay here.
Faanoos is located in the Sarvodav Residency on the 100 feet road, opposite to the APMC cattle mandi. Yes, its so typical of a road side famous dhaba. You got to be a teetotaller to visit this place and they have put a crystal-clear signage to resolve not serving anyone food who has consumed liquor. So, the first recommendation is that if you wish to visit this place, you gotta be sober or else, you won’t be entertained here. Bingo !
On the Zomato portal, this place had just the three photographs and eight reviews which were insufficient to get to know this place until I checked-in here for a dinner meal.
Ambience – On purpose, I am not going to review this place based on the ambience as this place is akin to a road-side dhaba and yeah, the outer look is little drab till the time you check-in and sit on the comfortable seating. The entire place is airy with open shed type cover wherein the inside portion is well partitioned to provide privacy when sitting with you family/friends.
Mughlai Food – The food out here is delectable and this is perhaps the highest USP of this place which keeps getting people back to this Faanoos for more food. Décor inside the place is village-type and I liked the theme but yeah, they need to develop this place to liven-up the ambience and outer appearance.
Munching Snack/Pre-Starter
They serve a ‘never tasted before’ munching snack to everyone who hits this place and this starter is an amazing and creative recipe. It is nothing but boiled kabuli chana and deep fried with a coating of red chilly. It is served in a unique way with garnishing of whole-garlic fried buds. The kabuli-nuts are soft and I quite liked the idea as I never that kabuli-chanas could be deep fried after a boil. Interesting.
Fish Pomfret Tandoor
They prepare this fish-starter fresh and being an open kitchen, I happened to see the fish-starter being cooked right from the fresh fish being chopped/cleaned. This is a mint dominated recipe and the mint flavour in the fish-starter was awesome. Liked it.
Kebabs – Shahi and Star
We had two different type of kebabs which were both delicious and could be had with tandoori rotis. I liked the Shahi Kebab more which contained cashew and the masala was great. It was not dry and can be compensated for a regular chicken dish as it had thick gravy-masala.
Faanoos Dry – It was nothing but a fried chicken starter and full marks to the Chef to create this exotic recipe. This is basically a sweet version of the chicken as it contained canned fruits (cherry) which brought out the sweetness in the starter. It was tossed in sauces and also contained cashews. This dish was something I had not tasted and a mesh between Mughai and Chinese (Manchurian).
Desserts – We tried the Sitaphal Cream and Sheer which were both good. The fresh fruit cream in the Jackfruit dessert was good. “Sheer” is a rare dessert which is prepared during wedding feasts and is made of milk.
Overall – the place ‘Faanoos’ is yet another exciting food-exploration in Kalyan and its much recommended food-option for those of you who are food-adventurers and love to tryout great food. The hospitality out here is wonderful and I found this place to be homely especially in the company of awesome friends. Will definitely visit this place again.
Value for money, Don't go for their Mutton or Chicken kheema, Go for Star Kebab, Mutton or Chicken Bhuna, Butter rotis were too good.
Bestest place to eat and that too a lot. Taste is awesome, menu names are superb so is the taste. Mohabbatein and Lapeta is what we had and it was excellent. Better than most restaurants elsewhere. Family & couples can eat in privacy here. Loved it

Good palce for dine, but staff is a bit annoying keeps forgetting your order, better you ask counter guy for suggestions and order trough him
Best place for family & friends , quality & quantity both are awesome taste was great the atmosphere was nice but they took a bit long to serve & sitting arrangements are average , still a good dhaba & not too costly.
Best placee must visit for dinner best staters andd main course perfect place to have non veg dishess privacy can go with groups very reasonable place and have good service.
Must visit once.
