The owner is very polite and friendly. Pocket friendly pricing attracts the crowd here. The staffs are always ready to fill your leaf, they serve meal in banana leaf. If you drive by car you will find difficulty to find a proper parking place, so it's better to go by foot or bike.

It's one of the oldest lunch home in Kannur. Its a small old place but everything serve here is good especially fish items. One of the best place to eat Kallummakkayi fry ( Mussels fry) in Kannur town.
Best place to have Fish (Aykoora) fry. Their quality has been consistent for atleast more than 5 years now. I make sure I get the Aykoora Fish fry from here every time I come to Kannur for vacation.
Malayattoor commands immense reputation from the very old times, and have done a terrific job to maintain it.
From my grandfather who’s 80 to my young siblings in their 15’s, we all enjoy Malayaattoor’ile choru (rice).
