Review Kashi - Kochi (Cochin)

Adityaraj Sahu
It was an amazing experience having lunch at Kashi Art Cafe. The atmosphere resembled that of a rural cottage, adorned with wall art and sculptures throughout. The food was delicious, we ordered chicken burger, chicken sizzler, spinach and aubergine lasagna, grilled chicken salad, lemonade and cappuccino. I found the lemonade a bit less sweet but I would recommend the lasagna. It had a very unique taste of spinach and eggplant. However, the service was a bit slow, may be because of more people visiting on New Year weekend.

One of the most beautiful places in Fort Kochi, Kashi is a gorgeous art cafe located on Princess Street. With a small entryway into a courtyard full of art, sculptures and murals, eating at Kashi makes you feel like you are part of the exhibit. Usually always having a waiting time owing to its popularity, Kashi keeps you busy at the lobby with a large supply of art books and paintings. Once you get a table, if you're lucky you will get one of the seats at the far end, or the entrance where you can lounge at ease. If not you and your friends will be squashed into a table at the side with a great view of the bathroom. The food at Kashi is DIVINE. Everything we tried was heavenly and left us wanting more. The Asian Stir Fried Beef Bowl and the Chocolate Brownie with Ice-Cream were both to die for. Only thing I would say is that the dishes are rather expensive and on the higher end to prepare yourself. The service at Kashi is also quite efficient, especially considering how chock-full it is every day. But what I love about this place is its commitment to art. The dishes are a mural for the chef and the large surplus of art is a great accompaniment to the ambience of Kashi. Genuinely had a lovely time and would recommend highly.

This is a small quaint cafe tucked in the street of Fort Cochin. The cafe is artistically decorated with different contemporary paintings and sculptures. The chocolate cake is simply mouth watering and is a must have. The chicken and herbs omelette we had was also quite good. The portion size is big and one dish was enough for the two of us. Will visit again in my next trip to Kochi.

The place has its own vibe and is famous for the right reasons. Although, i would love to see more vegetarian options on the menu. Do try their blueberry with icecream.

Kaashi Art Cafe in Fort Kochi is a must-visit Cafe for its enchanting fusion of art and culinary delights. This cozy cafe is nestled in the heart of historic Fort Kochi, offering a unique blend of local and international art and a serene ambience, making it a perfect spot for cultural immersion. Don't miss their mouthwatering Beef Steak, a flavorful dish that's a true standout on their menu along with a refreshing glass of Lemon Iced TeašŸ‘ŒšŸ»šŸ˜ Considering itā€™s a crowded touristy place, the staffs couldā€™ve been bit more attentive is what I felt šŸ˜Š
Shaheen Shahmirzadi
Cool spot with nice vibes. Food is good, but not amazing. Cake WAS amazing though! Coffee in India is a constant let down, but this place was actually decent so well done.
Grace Robertson
Wonderful experience. A chill ambient vibe with impressive art. When we came to Kochi everyone told us to try the chocolate cake from here, and Iā€™m so glad we did! Itā€™s HUGE maybe best shared between two people or one very hungry one! Would totally recommend.

Indulging in the chocolate cake from Kashi Art Cafe is nothing short of embarking on a delectable journey that unveils layers of flavors and textures. From the moment the first forkful makes contact with your taste buds, it's evident that this dessert is a creation born out of culinary artistry. The richness of the chocolate cake is a symphony of deep, velvety cocoa notes that wrap around your senses like a warm embrace. With each bite, the cake's undercurrent of slight undercooking becomes a subtle touch that adds to its allure. The slightly gooey texture, a testament to its skilled preparation, creates a harmonious marriage between the outer layer and the inner core. What truly transforms this chocolate cake into a masterpiece is the artful addition of the thick chocolate sauce. As it cascades over the cake, it's as if the heavens have opened up to bless the dessert with an exquisite elixir. This sauce acts as a transformative agent, melding seamlessly with the cake's natural flavor profile. The result is a symphony of sweetness that dances upon the taste buds. The cake's inherent less-sweet nature finds its perfect counterpart in the indulgent sweetness of the chocolate sauce, creating a delicate balance that is nothing short of divine. The amalgamation of contrasting textures and flavors is where this dessert truly shines. The interplay between the slightly undercooked cake and the heavenly chocolate sauce elevates the experience to an entirely new realm of indulgence. Each forkful becomes a sensory delight, an exploration of taste and texture that keeps you yearning for more. In the end, the chocolate cake from Kashi Art Cafe is a testament to the magic that can be created when culinary craftsmanship is combined with an understanding of flavors. It's a dessert that defies expectations, capturing the essence of indulgence while maintaining a level of sophistication that is truly admirable. With its rich, undercooked texture and a strategic marriage with the thick chocolate sauce, this chocolate cake transcends the ordinary and ascends to the realm of unforgettable culinary experiences.

You can experience the Art Gallery and installations with amazing food at this place. Grilled Fish and Chocolate cake is a must try. This place is frequented by many celebrities. Food is reasonably priced.

Food was good.. Liked the ambience of the place. The rest room could be maintained better. Beef Pulled Sandwich: 400 The pricing is quite high

Great ambiance place in kochi. Art collection and interior are good. The hot chocolate was average. Chocolate cake is their signature desert, which is a must try. There is no parking available.
Raj Naik
One of the most popular cafes in Fort Kochi. Good place to have breakfast or late evening snack. Sandwiches, chocolate cake and juices are good. Loved the interiors and artsy vibe more than the food. Good photo spot.

22-Jul-23: One of the exotic cafes in Kochi. They recreated a really great traditional ambience within their cafe. Food is exceptionally good with a great menu. This is my 4th visit. This time went in for a quick grab and went with veg burger and pulled beef sandwitch. Both were really good. Being a non veg I never could able to appreciate a veg burger in life but the one I tasted from Kaashi was different. The patty was smooth and blending with the overall burger. Melted cheese gave a definition to the overall taste. Pulled beef sandwitch was great as usual.

Amazing food, prawns with coco sauce and drink, ginger and honey limonade. Very attentive service. Music a bit loud but the experience was great!

What a lovely place! Itā€™s truly beautiful. The vibes are amazing, if you feel like tasting some EU food this is a good choice. Brought my laptop and worked smoothly.
Julia Kantorikova
Gallery comes cafe. The interior is super nice with a few breakout rooms and different seating areas. The food is delicious, coffee is made using mocha pot and itā€™s quite good too. They have a wifi (best to try different spots for better signal) and pieces of art jotted around the place. Clean and not cluttered yet cozy. Itā€™s on the pricier side.

Kashi Art cafƩ is my go-to coffee/munching place at Fort Kochi. Their homemade chocolate cake with chocolate sauce and cold coffee with coconut milk & honey are to die for! But the ambience gets all my brownie points. It's quite a laid back place with art instilled in the air that adds on its earthy rustic beauty. Service is also on point; which is always a plus!

Wonderful place to stop and 'smell the flowers'. Exceptionally good food for the price. Captivating pieces of art at every nook and corner. A rich crowd, made even richer by the Biennale. We had to wait, but even that was worthwhile. Sandwiches are a must-have, coffee could be a bit less runny though. I, for one, am visiting again, hungry for more. :)

Excellent food in very calm and relaxing art cafe. We were delighted with the service, quality and presentation all at very reasonable price. We had the spinach mushroom and cheese omelette and could not eat all as it was a very generous portion.

The most amazing lasagne Iā€™ve ever had!! Consistently excellent! Can not recommend Kashi highly enough. Great service from the waiters, cool spot and delicious food!! Kuti is a great waiter!
Aishwarya Roy
Loved it's Artistic ambience... Slow down in your life with lovely ambience, best people and good food.. I liked the service also. One of the best place to visit when you are in kochi.

Lovely place in the quaint Fort Kochi (which is my favourite place in India)
Visited Kashi Cafe in 2008 and had the awesome English breakfast
Vivid memories

Hey guys ..this cafe is a must visit place for food lovers ...I would recommend each and everyone should be here at least once for their life time ..I had a chocolate cake and spinach omelette. The chocolate cake they serve here is really really yummy.i am not a sweet tooth kinda person .but I fell in love with this cake,.one bite of this cake will take us to heaven(that good it is)...omg I ve never had such a kind of experience before and after that....and about the ambience..,it's a cool calm peacefull place...and the plants inside will give us the naturely feel. Once we enter there we don't feel like going out ,,.such a peacefull place it is...if u are going to Fort kochi then pls pls don't miss this cafe and their cake..even though the cake is expensive it's worth the money...

Very few options for veggies, tall tables are unstable, younger crowd makes this place noisy etc etc just like any other cafe. What stands out though, is the continental food that is served with simplistic flavours and presentation. Since the food is light on the tummy one is always craving for more, but unfortunately the rates turn out to be the deal breaker...
Pranabes Dutta
The cafe is beautiful and nicely done.
All eating areas are open which is a nice experience. However, the first is not so that great. Not all their dishes are available throughout the day. I ordered spinach and mushroom cheesy omelette with toast and a side of bacon slices, with hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was watery and the omelette wasn't too cheesy. The beans that accompanied the omelette was good, though.

I was told that this was an iconic place and not to be missed. I am normally wary of such recco since one gets disappointed when you realize that this hype.

The place is in aĀ small side street in courtyard behind a corridor behind an art cafe. Quite tastefully done. Hint: Select the inner courtyard since it is very green and gives you a feeling of a garden. The corridor is a bit noisy and does not have the same character.Ā

Menu is not all that varied but there is sufficient cafe type food. Mocktail were certainly good.

Food is okay and service very fast.Ā

Desert seems to be hit and miss. The chicklate cake was very very dry and huge with lots of sauce. Gave indigestion.

recco: go there if you have time
Chinnu
Always a big fan of the chocolate cake here. But today, got a not so moist, not so tasty slice. It felt bad, coz I had bought my friend from a far away place just to make her taste this and personally was craving for this all day. And this happened. Also misplaced orders several times. I hope you guys care a bit more about this.
Pulkit Garg
For the exorbitant rates, one would expect the food to have at least a minimum acceptable taste. Alas, that simple expectation was not met here, by the fusilli i had, which was uneatable. I had to chew and gulp with the aid of water, without letting it get in touch with my tongue, that's how bad it was.
TERRI KIM PECORA
Absolutely wonderful. Gorgeous interior design, wonderful food (especially if your vegetarian or vegan) and really sweet staff. The menu is an interesting mix of indian-meets-european and offers a welcome opportunity for raw vegetables. Don't miss it while in Fort Cochin.
Amal Antony
Went here to have dinner, seeing the good ratings. Before ordering we decided to try the drinks and then proceed with ordering. Let me say we all were completely disappointed and we left without finishing the drinks. This restaurant is made specifically targeting foreigners. They have different weird combinations and most of them are vegan cuisines. Honestly, I donā€™t feel regular people could enjoy a meal here or maybe we tried the wrong ones. The service was very slow and the place was very hot and we were sweating inside. We wouldnā€™t visit again. If you want to have an experience like never before then you should visit this place....

The Lebanese style duck roast I ordered was EXCELLENT - 5/5 . The ambience of the cafe/ restaurant is lovely! Would recommend!

I was visiting Cochin last month when I visited this artsy cafe situated in the Fort Kochi area. Me and my friends had an overall good experience. They have a variety of vegan and gluten free choices.

I loved their cold coffee with coconut milk and honey - a must try for coffee lovers. I was pleasantly surprised with the aubergine lasagna - it was delicious.

We also tried hummus and pita and bacon sandwich - both were good.

I've always been a big fan of the famous Kashi art cafƩ.
The interior and the decor here is to die for! The wonderful pieces of art coupled with the outdoorsy vibe is what makes this place so famous.
Coming to the food. The food here is consistent. I've tried the tomato and cheese omlette that comes with bread and some fruit. I think using cherry tomato instead of regular tomato would make the omlette even more exciting. It did have a generous amount of cheese which was great.
The special chocolate cake is so good. It's light in sweet but gets really heavy for one person. Highly recommended!

The chocolate cake is a must try and the ice tea , these are my favourite choices. Best place to hangout !!!

Kashiā€™s has been on my bookmarked list of places to try out!
Iā€™m glad it happened this time when I went to Kochi. This place gave me a
nostalgic vibe as it is an exact replica of an art cafƩ in Bangalore. Kashis is
compact but the interiors are artfully remarkable.

After a thirst-quenching drive to Fort Kochi we ordered cold
coffee; but in Kashis they do not blend it but instead milk and sugar syrup is
served separately and can be added as per ones liking.

For food we ordered a plate of meat lovers omelet (which is
stuffed egg omelet with ham, sausage and heaps of cheese served with two
toasted breads a butter slice and few fruit slices), a plate of garlic bread
(so full of flavor) and hummus dip. Food was tasteful but not fancy looking!

For desserts we had a slice of the banana cake and a slice
of the mud cake (which was mildly flooded in hot chocolate sauce) *drools* -
these both are a must try!
Aditi Chaturvedi
I'd like to give the place 3.5 stars if I could. The food is very good and service has greatly improved, even on busy weekends. But the music is insufferable and destroys the ambience. The place is pretty, shaded, green and has the potential of being a great place to read, write, or have a conversation. Instead I find myself unable to sit here for more than twenty minutes because of the terrible and extremely loud pop music. I don't remember this being the case, say, two years ago. I've been here thrice in five days, daytime each time, and been 'treated' to this music. Maybe it's just me but I don't appreciate eating breakfast with loud, bass-y pop hurting my ears. This isn't a club! Kashi is just no longer a place I'll be coming to hang out. I'd rather go to Teapot or Pepper House where at least one can read in silence or talk without having to shout.

Date : 11-Jan-2020 at 8 PM

A great walk along the sea front then a stroll around the market, was just right to hop in to this place for dinner. We arrived to find that while the place was buzzing with customer but still could get a table in the corner which was good.

This place is got a rustic deco world charm which I liked. Ā This cafe is a mix of Ā Art Deco with food to go with it. What I like is the dim lit ambience, cool decor and yummy food to go with it.

The attendants were attentive and customer focused.Ā

Started with some cool drinks , especially had one with a honey twist which was good.Ā

When in this sea side town what best to have is sea food, so ordered a grilled fist with veggies & mash. This was well cooked , fresh and a complete must have.

They did have fancy deserts but we did not go that way the meal was way we wanted to savor on our taste buds.

Do make a trip to this diner if you want to have a mix of good food and soft ambience.

Amazing ambience and friendly staff. On the whole the experience was great. The food we ordered came in reasonable time. The burgers were above average but the steak was amazing. Strongly recommend this place as a must visit if youā€™re ever in Kochi

The most well known restaurant of fort kochi i guess.
Beatiful place very creatively done.
Small and simple.
Had my breakfast here .
Ordered the farmers omlet with spinach and cheese which was good but the bread along with it was great.
Appam and stew was also good.
The chocolate cake with choc sauce is their best for dessert.

Kashi Art Cafe is a beautiful cafe with plants, small trees, climbers and pebbles, wooden and stone furniture. It's got a lovely vide and ambiance.

They have a small art gallery before you enter the cafe.

They have a few Vegetarian and vegan food options.

Out of those, I tried the aubergine lasagna and hummus with garlic toast.

Both were delicious.

Loved the hummus. The consistency was perfect.
The toast were soft with some garlic butter and glad they served rye bread and not white.

The lasagna was well balanced, flavorful and delicious.
My son enjoyed.it was non Spicy and loaded with cheese. Yum

Overall a lovely cafe to eat and chill.

Food-4/5
Service-3.5/5
Vfm-3.75/5
Ambiance 4.5/5
Return index-4/5

This cafe sits along the street of fort Kochi and can be easily missed out if you are not aware of it. I was shown this place by my friend. The place is a bit small and compact but the staff is quite gracious and a place to have really good breakfast all day. I tried a grilled tomato and cheese sandwich which was good. By the looks of things I felt that these guys knead their own šŸž bread. Then I tried cold coffee with coconut milk and honey. Was really curious as I had never tried or seen coconut milk being used in such a fashion. The taste for this was also good and I really liked the overall menu items. Definitely a suggestion for a visit. One key note... The service is a bit slow so don't be in a hurry .... Its a leisurely place where people come to relax and much. Its a cafe after all
Aparna Rajasekharan
We were a gang of 7 people. First 3 of us reached and we ordered sandwich coffee juice etc. We were sitting in a small table of 4 so once a bigger table became empty we moved to larger space to occupy all of us...it took around 10 to 15 mins for the rest of my friends to join...in this span of 15 mins the guy I the restaurant came and asked us theee times reg how much time it will take for others to join us...and also made a point to tell us that because of the 15 mins their business was getting affected...this was my first visit to very much hyped kashi art cafe....and what I got as an experience from here is insult and "please get out" told 3 times for 15 mins told to us by the waiter...

Been here a few years back when we were the only customers during the time. Still remember how the staff was staring and trying to spy peep.

The best cafe in fortkochi. It's in burger street.
It's a place were one of the best chocolate cake available.its approximately 130 for a cake including tax. And it's worth for the money.the cake is filled with chocolate syrup.and many other foods too.and there is a burger called riders burger I think that is also an awsm one my friend had eaten and he always say about that.its a must visit place.and everyone should visit
Nephismith
The place is really nice and comfortable. Not a busy hustle place. Not so expensive also. The legendary burger is worth trying. The KitKat shake and Oreo shake is also awesome.
Wandering Foodie
Lovely place, however it has become very mainstream and that's why it is always crowded and noisy.

Apart from that, if you come here early in the morning then you'll be able to enjoy a lovely breakfast. Their meat lovers omelette is best in the world. coffee and lime soda are also awesome.
Alfred
With the hype I had gotten from everyone else before I came to Kochi and from what I read on Zomato I had high hopes for Kashi.

Now the ambience is exquisite.Ā
Beautiful taste whoever has fitted this place out.Ā
Loved spending time here.Ā
However I'm a coffee and a sweet fiend but to be honest I felt both were somewhat lacklustre here. Mains are a different story, everyone coming out looked great but yeah the coffee and cakes for me were quite average. The espresso was not espresso at all it was a dull burnt stove top brew of some description. Cakes wise what they lacked in originality they certainly made up for in size, you aren't going to leave hungry that's for sure.

Location: Fort Kochi. Easy to locate.

Ambience: A very exciting Ambience with a lot of art pieces. It is an open non AC cafe. Beautifully done.

Food:
1) Spinach and aubergine lasagna: a very good option for vegetarians. Probably the best dish out of all that I tried.
2) Avocado toast with poached eggs: Pretty average. Not bad
3) Kashi Roast chicken with couscous: The chicken was not soft and tender...was a little dry and hard too. Apart from that the sauce and couscous was average.
4) Pineapple juice: can't really go wrong
5) lemonade: This was really good and the good thing was that they had used an ayurvedic sweetener instead of sugar. So I guess it's an healthy option.

Overall it was a good experience. Will visit again!

Ended up here cos this was one of the major suggestions in fort kochi.
From the service to food , to he honest, am disappointed.
Nobody cares you are there or not. I had to wait around 20 minutes to find a waiter, and he was in rush . He went somewhere in between taking our order. I went to kitchen directly and had to order the food. How embarrassing!.
The watermelon mocktails was good. Flavour was fresh.
Coming to their signature dish it was well.over priced and and not even presented properly. The chicken was cooked well and the sauce was good. But the choice of veggies they serve could have been better.

Located in the beautiful Fort Kochi area, this unique cafe truly stands up to its fame. It is a decently large space with very spacious seating, that also being of varied kind. There are art specimen on special display as well as on walls and frames, with labels of the artists behind the work. I went on a Tuesday afternoon when it was almost full of visitors (mostly tourists). I ordered cold coffee and it was very refreshing. I tried the Biker's burger chicken and it was absolutely fabulous. Am not a fan of burgers, but this truly justified the hype of the place. Also tried the spinach and aubergine lasagna and it was delicious, very well cooked and hot. We were too full in this that there was no room left for desserts. The service is good and staff well dressed. The manager at the counter told us about the place and overall the place is a must try.
Dev Ashish Gurjar
Really loved the place. It has got a really nice and soothing ambience. The food, simply put, is great. If you have a taste for italian pizza, you should give it a try here. The pizza tastes as authentic as it can be.
The gallery again gets them an additional brownie points. ;-)
Oliviaaron
The food is good, with good portions and taste. Their cream of chicken soup is a must. Had went to this place to celebrate my birthday, and the staff was really courteous and nice, and played birthday music etc.

Kashi have been my go to place for sandwiches and cakes... Always maintains consistency on their food and service... Chocolate cake and pulled beef sandwiches are really good, the Abience is soothing and relaxing... Best place for late night chill.

'A good #restaurantreview can point you toward your new favorite spot or help you avoid a dining disaster.' I believe in the above line I read somewhere long back.

Not being critical, but my food experience at #KashiArtCafe was sub-par.

I ordered for a #VegPasta (pic 1) for mains which looked yum but was too chewy and tasted alright.

For #dessert, we were told not to return without trying out their 'legendary #chocolatecake' named as #Cake (pic 3) in the menu. But, it was so disappointing that 4 of us found it difficult to finish.

But, appreciate the #jackfruitcake (pic 2) they served. It was good.

Menu, yes was a little pricey. The ambience and #interiordecor was nice and cosy. If you are looking for a peaceful place to go sit and spend some quality time alone or with friends, this place might be perfect.

May be it's our tastes and taste preferences, but overall, we all had pretty high expectations about the place but was disappointed.

I was told by everyone to visit this Cafe and so I did finally. Absolutely loved it.
Tried the cheese and mushroom Omlette, Pancakes, Poached eggs on an Avocado toast and Appams. Absolutely loved each and everything that I ordered. Also their French Press Coffee, which was pretty amazing too.

Food - 10/10
Cost - 10/10
Ambience - 9/10
Good ambience, good food.
We tried the seafood wrap, the wheat penne with shrimp, Fusili with pesto, a dish I can't remember the name of right now but I've uploaded a pic, and the cake. Quantity was adequate.
Service was fine.

Very good cafe. Has a good ambience. The food is also good here. Most common food tried out by people here is the chocolate cake. It's so soft and the tasty to enjoy
Incredible meat lovers omelette, all drinks are wonderful. Love love love this place! Canā€™t wait to try the beef burger. Staff are friendly and fast service!

Nice place, quite and enjoyable. Food is also good but drinks are not. Orange juice came hot , in this weather it should come icy. Coffee also is not good.

What a lovely place to visit. Unique ambience with an artistic flare makes any visit delightful. The desserts are next level. Probably the best brownie with ice-cream I've ever had.

One of the best cafe which I have ever visited. It has a awesome ambiance of which I really liked the most. Even though they don't have parking facility but the ambiance and food cover's that problem.

I had Chocolate cake which is a signature dish and it tastes was good.

I also had Hot chocolate which was a decent one.

Food - 4.6/5
Ambiance - 5/5
Overall - 4.8/5

Visited this place for dinner after a quick run around fort Kochi. Very chill vibe, nice smell of agarbatti in the air, probably to keep the mosquitoes away.

The Avocado and Chocolate shake was fantastic, not too sweet, thick enough. The cold coffee was quite disappointing, americano with ice, cold milk and watery sugar syrup on the side. More like an iced coffee, if anything.

We ate a tuna salad sandwich which was decent, the local tapioca chips alongside is a great touch!

The highlight of the meal was the Kashi Roast Chicken, juicy, well seasoned and with a pan jus to die for! Served with a side of garlic potato, carrot and polenta.

Lots of people have recommended this place, and it's down mostly to the vibe. Food quality is decent, just don't expect to be blown away. But yes, try that roast chicken.

The Rich Chocolate Cake is a Must-Try for every chocolate lover. The special menu item of White chocolate-strawberry cake was also yummy. The lasagna was a bit too loose, it was falling apart easily. Can't wait to have the chocolate cake again.

Been to Kashi Art Cafe a few times but this time it was really dissappointing. Tried tuna sandwich, tomoato & cheese and chicken sandwich, all three were below the mark.

Nice place to hangout, ambiance is good.... food is nice ..but price is bit on the higher side. Desserts are nice especially the chocolate cake

Pricy yet satisfactory.
We had pulled beef sandwich which was a little too salty but not bad. Iced coffee with coconut milk and honey was cherishable and tea was satisfactory.
It's ambience is the one which attracts people the most here.

Kashi art cafe has been done tastefully! Right from the amazing art to the food that touches your soul!! The chocolate cake is OMG!! 5/5!!ā¤šŸ˜šŸ¤¤
*the side effects being wanting to eat a whole damn cake!!
We also had a tuna sandwich (4/5) and a yummy lemonade (4/5)

Good food. Enjoyed the ā€˜meat lover omletteā€™. Also ā€˜kashi special steakā€™ is really good. Would recommend this place. Non AC, so the hot and humid weather destroys the ambience a bit in the non winter season!

Pathetic food. Rating this a 2 because the cold coffee with honey was decent and the servers were nice. Otherwise got the chocolate cake and cappuccino, as we saw everyone getting them. It's one thing if you get something that's not popular and it turns out to not be so nice, yet it's another when a hugely popular food item turns out a dud.

The chocolate cake was so bad that 2 of us didn't even feel like finishing it, half was left. It was dry and crumbly, but then the sauce was overly sweet. So it was just a super disappointing experience. Our cake craving was not satisfied, not even a little. And what the heck chocolate cake comes with watermelon on top, by the way? Yuck.

Also the cappuccino was overly bitter. I'm familiar with moka pot coffee and I think this was not brewed correctly given the fact that I've had really nice coffee from a moka pot as well as bad in the past. Definitely would not recommend.

Completely overhyped place. The food other people were getting didn't look great either. Would recommend going elsewhere.

One of my all time favourite cafeā€™s in fort kochi ! Always hopped in for the famous chocolate cake. Nothing has really changed here all these years except the city heat that hits because of the open indoor seating.

Kashi's chocolate cake is one of the yummiest desserts in town!!! Cake with the chocolate sauce is heaven!!! Highly recommended for sweet tooths..

Okay I'm a really really late vistor to this ever famous art cafe. Had pretty good expectations but was kinda disappointed.

We ordered the Meat Lover's Omelette which was really good - stuffed with salami, sausages and bacon. The plate had thick slices of bread, fruits and butter. The Bacon and Egg Sandwich was also pretty good.

The Honey pancake was not fluffy and dint look too good, but tasted alright. The Cold Coffee with coconut milk was a fail to me and so was the ginger lime. The watermelon juice was good.

One time-over hyped-place to visit.

The ambience and decor is great, specially for art lovers. We went for dinner and the place was almost full. Very few vegetarian options are available. We ordered Veg Pasta and Veg Sandwiches along with Iced Coffee with coconut milk and honey, Ginger Lemonade and Orange juice. The food was expensive for the quantity provided.

Well, I checked ZOMATO rating and felt like visiting this place. Looks and ambience was good but food was pretty average.
Not matching the rating standard.

Tried juicy chicken burger and pesto pasta with chicken.Loved both the preparation.I personally liked the ambience and restaurant concept.Great place to hang out.

Located on Burgher street, which is adjacent to Princess street and a short walk away from St.Francis Church, Kashi Art Cafe offers a homely, serene and of course artsy vibe. The staff is polite, prices are comparable with any other cafe in this part of town and the food, delicious! I ordered the Kashi Special Chicken and an iced tea, both were a delight. If youā€™re looking for something comfortable and peaceful, look no further. Also, do try and have a stroll around the cafe as there is gorgeous street art all around.

I've visited Kochi multiple times, but I could never have enough of the food this cafe has to offer. You shouldn't miss the yummie french toast and the amazing cold coffee with coconut milk.
Marta
Cosy nice cafe with a predominantly Western food. Nice design gives it a special relaxed feel. Slightly on the expensive side. Soup of the day was nothing special.

Whatā€™s there to not love when you are in kochi. Sumptuous heart breakfast menu, good portions, home made organic pancakes, eggs, waffles with a good variety of cut fresh fruits on the side. No fuss about heavy interiors. Art everywhere your eyes can go. Delight to be in and eat. Maintain decorum of place when there.

The best food we ever had!! . the most awesome and never expected.. Kochi can have. My taste buds have become more hungry and I will have to visit this kochi just because of this beautiful cafe and delicious food. We tried many things and all was prepared with good quality and tasted delicious.

Woke up on A Sunday morning and was super craving for an American Breakfast. Wanted to try a new place than the regular old ones and the thought of wanting to go to Kashi came to my mind. Kashi is one place that any person in Cochin would've been to atleast once. And sadly this was my first time. Always wanted to go there, but never happened until now.

LOCATION & AMBIENCE šŸšļø
Located close to the beach, this place is easily accessible by all people. It's situated very close to the fork kochi Beach bus station. The interiors are all well lit up by the natural sunlight that comes in through the top. It's all a very sitting inside with nature kindof feeling.

FOOD šŸœ
We ordered the Meat Lovers Omelette, Bacon and Egg Sandwich, Honey Pancake, Fresh watermelon juice, Cold coffee with Coconut milk and Ginger drink.

-> Meat lovers omelette: This was really good, stuffed with salami, sausage and bacon. The bacon isn't crispy, it's just cooked. The omelette came with two slices of fat-ass bread, baked beans, fruits and butter.

-> Bacon and Egg Sandwich: Had to go for this because they dint have the BLT. This was also good but the portion size was too small. Again came in brown bread. The bacon was again cooked rather than fried.

-> Honey pancake: Ordered for Banana, but they ran out of banana so had to settle for this one. The pancake even though doesn't look very appealing, it tastes good. The pancakes are dipped and cooked to perfection.

-> Cold cooffe with coconut milk: They said this was a much sought after option than the mix your own cold cooffe thing that all cafes in Fk does. All I could taste was coffee decoction and honey. The milk floated like little chunks of Curd.

-> Ginger drink: I honestly forgot the name of the drink and since this place doesn't attach their menu to the page, I am left with no other choice. All I could taste in this was ginger and ginger alone.

-> Fresh watermelon Juice: No water, no sugar. As promised. Felt fresh.

OVERALL VERDICT šŸ’Æ
Much of an over hyped place that serves poor quantity of food. It's a one time go place for all kochi lites.

Good breakfast options. Close to the beach in Fort kochi. It can be crowded at times. Many art fans have been displayed and you can even spot the artist over there.

This is one of the best cafes in Fort kochi .
Food is amazing , ambience and music was extrordinary. Staff were also very polite and sweet.Overall a positive vibe place.

An absolute gem located bang near the beach. This place is vegetarian and vegan friendly. We tried the hummus, pesto pasta, brown rice with vegetables, veg burger and the lasagne. The rice and the burger were particular favourites. Also the fruit cube lemonade was amazing, as was the jackfruit cake. Heard some fantastic things about their chocolate cake but heard them too late:/ Hopefully will come back for it!

Must tryā¤µļø

As you can see the pics are really welcoming. My friend introduced me to this place and had ordered a very sumptuous dinner. Bread and sprouts. My friend was so obsessed with watermelons that she had a drink as well and a piece of fruit too. Well, it's so relieving in summers. Had ice creams, mix fruit and chocolate with full of nuts. The presentation was nice and simple. Food tasted well. A bit expensive place for students. But you will get to see lots of creative things here. They do have space for art performances. Loved this place.

One place that I keep coming back to, its been years and its commendable how theyā€™ve maintained their standard, prompt service and the most polite staff.
Please do something about the mosquitoes šŸ™šŸ»

A must try cafe in kochi. It has a great art gallery with different art works. Talking about the food, it's good for the breakfast. The place is calm and you feel relaxed over here. Really had a great time at kashi art Cafe.

I had heard so much about this cafe and it turned out to be such a disappointment. It is difficult to locate and even when you find it, it seems like it is closed.
There are few options for vegetarians and very poor ones. I had Herb and Cheese Sandwich - 1/5. I couldn't taste the herbs. And by cheese, they mean a big slab of cold cottage cheese (paneer) between grilled brown breads. It did not taste good.
I also had Press Coffee - 2/5. It was good but it is supposed to be for 2 people which they could've told so it got wasted.
Lastly, the chairs are uncomfortable, places is full of mosquitoes as it is outside seating.

Fantastic flavour-rich food, polite and friendly folks. We asked for items that were not on the menu and they happily obliged. Great place and a must eat joint, if you're in this part of Kerala. Go Kashi!

We went her to have breakfast. The ambience of this place is its USP. It is just very soothing and delightful.

We ordered egg omlette stuffed with bacon and sausage along with chocolate pancakes and press coffee. The food was really nice. It is a perfect place to have long conversations with your friends or family. Recommended

Taste: 4/5
Ambience: 5/5
Service: 4/5
VFM: 4/5

This place has the best Ambience, it is so pleasing to the eyes. I can come here everyday, order food and read a book. It's so calm and peaceful here. And as the name says the cafe is very artsy and lush green with plants. I must also mention that it is located on Burger Street, which I think is the most beautiful and the prettiest streets I have seen in Fort Kochi. Kashi is just plain and simple beautiful. These are the things which didn't want me to leave the city.

We ordered lasagna and mushroom cheese omelette, they were very delicious and sumptuous. We also ordered cold coffee and homemade ice tea, it was pure heaven. At this moment I would like to say, thanks for existing. :p

It is a very popular place and hence I need not say must go but nonetheless please do go. I'd judge someone who'd go to Kochi and not visit here unless ofcourse you have a legit reason that being apocalypse.

Lastly, I think they need to check with their staff and service. Our waiter was pretty lousy and this doesn't make a good impression. This is me talking who I think is very adjustable.

Great Ambience.
Tried biker's burger and Kheema Pav (Picture not available).
Burger was very average. Could hardly taste the chicken.
Kheema Pav was rather served with slices of toasted bread. Nonetheless, tasted real good!

Yet another overhyped cafe that is not worthy of your time.Cochin definitely has better places than this.It took almost half an hour for an omelette! And half the stuff from menu waa unavailable in the morning.Ambience is nice and food is average.
Palash Chhaperwal
Great Experience. Loved everything. The sandwiches were really good. The shake in the images(don't remember the name) was the best. Ambience was one of the best I have ever felt and seen in a cafe.

One of the best cafes in kochi. The food is great, especially the sandwiches. If youā€™re visiting during biennale,Kashi is a must visit. The drinks are also great.Prices are pretty reasonable too.

The ambience is excellent, very artsy but the quantity of food is small for the price. I would say its overrated. We ordered tomatoes n cheese sandwich and spaghetti with grilled chicken wasn't impressed.
