Kashi Art café is my go-to coffee/munching place at Fort Kochi. Their homemade chocolate cake with chocolate sauce and cold coffee with coconut milk & honey are to die for! But the ambience gets all my brownie points. It's quite a laid back place with art instilled in the air that adds on its earthy rustic beauty. Service is also on point; which is always a plus!

Wonderful place to stop and 'smell the flowers'. Exceptionally good food for the price. Captivating pieces of art at every nook and corner. A rich crowd, made even richer by the Biennale. We had to wait, but even that was worthwhile. Sandwiches are a must-have, coffee could be a bit less runny though. I, for one, am visiting again, hungry for more. :)

Very few options for veggies, tall tables are unstable, younger crowd makes this place noisy etc etc just like any other cafe. What stands out though, is the continental food that is served with simplistic flavours and presentation. Since the food is light on the tummy one is always craving for more, but unfortunately the rates turn out to be the deal breaker...

I was told that this was an iconic place and not to be missed. I am normally wary of such recco since one gets disappointed when you realize that this hype.

The place is in a  small side street in courtyard behind a corridor behind an art cafe. Quite tastefully done. Hint: Select the inner courtyard since it is very green and gives you a feeling of a garden. The corridor is a bit noisy and does not have the same character.

Menu is not all that varied but there is sufficient cafe type food. Mocktail were certainly good.

Food is okay and service very fast.

Desert seems to be hit and miss. The chicklate cake was very very dry and huge with lots of sauce. Gave indigestion.

recco: go there if you have time

Absolutely wonderful. Gorgeous interior design, wonderful food (especially if your vegetarian or vegan) and really sweet staff. The menu is an interesting mix of indian-meets-european and offers a welcome opportunity for raw vegetables. Don't miss it while in Fort Cochin.

I was visiting Cochin last month when I visited this artsy cafe situated in the Fort Kochi area. Me and my friends had an overall good experience. They have a variety of vegan and gluten free choices.

I loved their cold coffee with coconut milk and honey - a must try for coffee lovers. I was pleasantly surprised with the aubergine lasagna - it was delicious.

We also tried hummus and pita and bacon sandwich - both were good.

I've always been a big fan of the famous Kashi art café.
The interior and the decor here is to die for! The wonderful pieces of art coupled with the outdoorsy vibe is what makes this place so famous.
Coming to the food. The food here is consistent. I've tried the tomato and cheese omlette that comes with bread and some fruit. I think using cherry tomato instead of regular tomato would make the omlette even more exciting. It did have a generous amount of cheese which was great.
The special chocolate cake is so good. It's light in sweet but gets really heavy for one person. Highly recommended!

Kashi’s has been on my bookmarked list of places to try out!
I’m glad it happened this time when I went to Kochi. This place gave me a
nostalgic vibe as it is an exact replica of an art café in Bangalore. Kashis is
compact but the interiors are artfully remarkable.

After a thirst-quenching drive to Fort Kochi we ordered cold
coffee; but in Kashis they do not blend it but instead milk and sugar syrup is
served separately and can be added as per ones liking.

For food we ordered a plate of meat lovers omelet (which is
stuffed egg omelet with ham, sausage and heaps of cheese served with two
toasted breads a butter slice and few fruit slices), a plate of garlic bread
(so full of flavor) and hummus dip. Food was tasteful but not fancy looking!

For desserts we had a slice of the banana cake and a slice
of the mud cake (which was mildly flooded in hot chocolate sauce) *drools* -
these both are a must try!

It was an amazing experience having lunch at Kashi Art Cafe. The atmosphere resembled that of a rural cottage, adorned with wall art and sculptures throughout. The food was delicious, we ordered chicken burger, chicken sizzler, spinach and aubergine lasagna, grilled chicken salad, lemonade and cappuccino. I found the lemonade a bit less sweet but I would recommend the lasagna. It had a very unique taste of spinach and eggplant. However, the service was a bit slow, may be because of more people visiting on New Year weekend.

One of the most beautiful places in Fort Kochi, Kashi is a gorgeous art cafe located on Princess Street. With a small entryway into a courtyard full of art, sculptures and murals, eating at Kashi makes you feel like you are part of the exhibit. Usually always having a waiting time owing to its popularity, Kashi keeps you busy at the lobby with a large supply of art books and paintings. Once you get a table, if you're lucky you will get one of the seats at the far end, or the entrance where you can lounge at ease. If not you and your friends will be squashed into a table at the side with a great view of the bathroom. The food at Kashi is DIVINE. Everything we tried was heavenly and left us wanting more. The Asian Stir Fried Beef Bowl and the Chocolate Brownie with Ice-Cream were both to die for. Only thing I would say is that the dishes are rather expensive and on the higher end to prepare yourself. The service at Kashi is also quite efficient, especially considering how chock-full it is every day. But what I love about this place is its commitment to art. The dishes are a mural for the chef and the large surplus of art is a great accompaniment to the ambience of Kashi. Genuinely had a lovely time and would recommend highly.

This is a small quaint cafe tucked in the street of Fort Cochin. The cafe is artistically decorated with different contemporary paintings and sculptures. The chocolate cake is simply mouth watering and is a must have. The chicken and herbs omelette we had was also quite good. The portion size is big and one dish was enough for the two of us. Will visit again in my next trip to Kochi.

Kaashi Art Cafe in Fort Kochi is a must-visit Cafe for its enchanting fusion of art and culinary delights. This cozy cafe is nestled in the heart of historic Fort Kochi, offering a unique blend of local and international art and a serene ambience, making it a perfect spot for cultural immersion. Don't miss their mouthwatering Beef Steak, a flavorful dish that's a true standout on their menu along with a refreshing glass of Lemon Iced Tea👌🏻😍 Considering it’s a crowded touristy place, the staffs could’ve been bit more attentive is what I felt 😊

Cool spot with nice vibes. Food is good, but not amazing. Cake WAS amazing though! Coffee in India is a constant let down, but this place was actually decent so well done.

Indulging in the chocolate cake from Kashi Art Cafe is nothing short of embarking on a delectable journey that unveils layers of flavors and textures. From the moment the first forkful makes contact with your taste buds, it's evident that this dessert is a creation born out of culinary artistry. The richness of the chocolate cake is a symphony of deep, velvety cocoa notes that wrap around your senses like a warm embrace. With each bite, the cake's undercurrent of slight undercooking becomes a subtle touch that adds to its allure. The slightly gooey texture, a testament to its skilled preparation, creates a harmonious marriage between the outer layer and the inner core. What truly transforms this chocolate cake into a masterpiece is the artful addition of the thick chocolate sauce. As it cascades over the cake, it's as if the heavens have opened up to bless the dessert with an exquisite elixir. This sauce acts as a transformative agent, melding seamlessly with the cake's natural flavor profile. The result is a symphony of sweetness that dances upon the taste buds. The cake's inherent less-sweet nature finds its perfect counterpart in the indulgent sweetness of the chocolate sauce, creating a delicate balance that is nothing short of divine. The amalgamation of contrasting textures and flavors is where this dessert truly shines. The interplay between the slightly undercooked cake and the heavenly chocolate sauce elevates the experience to an entirely new realm of indulgence. Each forkful becomes a sensory delight, an exploration of taste and texture that keeps you yearning for more. In the end, the chocolate cake from Kashi Art Cafe is a testament to the magic that can be created when culinary craftsmanship is combined with an understanding of flavors. It's a dessert that defies expectations, capturing the essence of indulgence while maintaining a level of sophistication that is truly admirable. With its rich, undercooked texture and a strategic marriage with the thick chocolate sauce, this chocolate cake transcends the ordinary and ascends to the realm of unforgettable culinary experiences.
