We had Chettinad chicken, prawns masala and arippa fried chicken with appam. All tasted super and appam was the best of quality. Have had snacks also earlier from here one evening. I like the place!!!
First of all the restaurant interior design is very attractive and of course our fun film painting with evergreen dialogues. The service was very good and the food is very tasty. Every one should try Kerala porotta, I can say it is the best one in Kochi and chicken pepper curry also yummy. The other part is it is not very expensive, it is truly value for the money!
Congrats to the whole team behind the show.... One suggestion is please find out the space for parking or relocate the place with parking.
Arippa is Love .. It's at the moment the best place you go for good food at reasonable pricing .. It's a must try place for anyone and everyone in Cochin
The food is fantastic but I'm not sure I want eat from there during corona. They don't seem to follow any of the WHO practices and don't offer rider sanitation. If this was corrected, I will for sure order from them in a heartbeat
Nice place with great food at an unbeatable price point. Meal for 2 of us and the little one cost me around 350 and we were stuffed. Taste was a bit of a hit and miss. We really liked the parotta s and roast chicken. The beef coconut fry was only average. This place is very crowded and if you are going for lunch, I suggest getting there well before 1. If I have to find a fault with this place I’d say They do have some flys around.
First time in Kochi and apparently had to try this place out !
Had the wheat paratha and beef mulakittathu for lunch and I loved it! It was so delicious !
This place should be on the food list for all foodies out there ! 🙂
Great staff and very prompt service!
Good food ,,, less space to accommodate. Porotta, beef , noodles was awesome. Will try more dishes soon. Hope they will expand soon
Great food and great pricing 😁 Their 'Chicken arippayil ' is kick-ass !
Would definitely visit again.
A small but beautiful place bustling with people from all walks of life. If you're lucky you might get parking. And you might even have to wait a bit to get seats. But definitely worth it!
Ordered Ravuthar biriyani.. i loved this! Rice well cooked in spicy masala and soft chicken.
The Mutton biriyani was good and so was chicken biriyani which had pieces that were fried first, but managed to maintain the softness of the chicken.
Next up, we ordered Karimeen Pollichathu.. this was steaming hot and the masala was spicy and delicious.
Ended with a couple of lime and sodas.
A wholesome family place that serves good food.
Update: tried the fish curry meals. Not worth the price. The coconut fish curry was good tho.
This place reminded me of the traditional "Maa ke haath ka khana"... This is going to be on my list of must visit places in Kerala. Best Kappa Biryani I have ever had. Awesome ambience as well!!!
Had a chicken biriyani from here. The food tasted really good. Staff were friendly and interactive. The location lacks parking. The restaurant was crowded when I visited and was required to wait for a while. The ambiance is commendable too.
Very good and tasty foods. The standard of the restaurant is high.May b u have to wait 10-15 minutes for getting a table to seat but the food quality will let u forget about the time that u have waited.

The attentive staff contributed significantly to the positive experience. Their friendly and prompt service added a personal touch to the dining experience. The culinary presentation was not only appetizing but also reflected a commitment to quality.
Fantastic traditional food. We went here for lunch and had a sumptuous banana leaf meal. All the sides served were very tasty. The sambhar, rasam and fish curry were delicious. We also has some awesome neimeen , red snapper.
Arippa restaurant is placed at the M.G road, Ernakulam. I tried Porotta and Mutton coconut fry. Mutton was so tasty and yummy. Also tried Appam and beef stew. Appam was not so good as expected, but ok. Beef stew was great. They have neat dining area and good ambiance. A bit expensive. But it's a good destination for trying traditional Kerala foods. Overall good experience and Yes I recommend this place for a try.
I recently dined at Arippa MG Road and was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional culinary experience they offered. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance exuded warmth and sophistication, setting the stage for what turned out to be an unforgettable meal.
The menu was a masterpiece, combining innovative twists with classic flavors. Each dish was a work of art, both visually and in terms of taste. The presentation was immaculate, showcasing the chef's meticulous attention to detail.
The flavors were nothing short of extraordinary. Every bite was a harmonious blend of ingredients, creating a symphony of taste that delighted the palate. The use of fresh, high-quality ingredients was evident in every dish, elevating the entire dining experience.
The service was impeccable, with a knowledgeable and attentive staff that catered to every need. They were well-versed in the menu and offered insightful recommendations, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the meal.
The dessert selection was a delightful finale to an already exceptional meal. The creativity and finesse that went into crafting each dessert was apparent, leaving a sweet and lasting impression.
Overall, my experience at [Restaurant Name] was a true culinary journey that left me in awe. The attention to detail, the exquisite flavors, and the top-notch service make it a dining destination that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking an extraordinary gastronomic adventure.
Tried the Ammachees Chicken Curry with Pallapam, The combo was a hit. The gravy was thick, the flavours were well blended together.
Had ordered Squid Butter Garlic, that was a huge letdown. Had asked for butter garlic and we got squid masala fry to be honest which was not expected and wasn't great at all.
But yes, I would definitely recommend Ammachees Chicken Curry with Pallapam, and I'm sure of going back just to have that another time.
We came in pretty late at night but the staff was not rushing us, instead they were very polite & accomodating. The attendant was very patient and gave menu suggestions for us to consider. Our order menu consisted of Oru Pidi Athazham featuring Palakkadan boiled matta rice, fish fry, beef idichathu, Mezhukkupuratti, fried chilli, mango pickle, papadam, coconut chammanthi, boiled egg, & mango pulissery worth Rs 350, Palappam (Rs18), Arippa chicken (Rs 290), Butter Garlic prawns (Rs 320), Chicken chettinad (Rs 310), Neymeen Polichath (Rs 350), Black Tea (Rs 15), & Lime tea (Rs 15). The delivery was quick, food was flavourful & the restaurant had a good ambience. I had a pleasant dining experience with my family.
I had recently dined in at Arippa restaurant - MG Road.
▪️The entrance of the restaurant gives you a grand welcome feeling 😅 specially the use of emerald green is interesting.
▪️The ambiance was lovely gives you a high end experience with aesthetically pleasing interiors. The use of colours like emerald green, pink was giving it an oomph factor.
▪️We expected the restaurant to be expensive but it was affordable
▪️They have dinning on two floors.
▪️We ordered Fish curry meals, Ravuthar biryani and Prawns tempura.
▪️The fish curry meals was good and tasty but with limited options. We liked that, they gave us extra cup of payasam.
▪️Ravuthar Biryani was mentioned as having flavours similar to Chennai biryani, but not sure about the Chennai biryani taste but it was tasty. It had a very subtle flavour along with a kick of mint in bites and it doesn’t seem heavy on palate. Overall it’s good.
▪️Prawn Tempura was a bit let down, it wasn’t as I had expected. The batter had strong smell of egg. But the tempura was crispy, hot and the dip served along with it was damn tasty.
Good people nice food but a bit long waiting time they should introduce booking and reservation system
This is the first time I’m going to the ‘arippa’ after reaching Kochi. I’ve ordered beef fry, kappa and Chaya. All were good.
We need to pay the bill and food will be served at the table.
I felt it overpriced though food was good . The amount was less for one person but I liked the dishes .
Ambience was good.
There is no parking space.
Overall nice experience .
Great and beautiful restaurant with a good ambience for family and friends. Food is good but expensive. Parking is a bit difficult. There are a wide variety of dishes and a lot of room for many people.
