One of the best place to have lunch in ernakulam. Around 1.5km from North railway station. Decent place with ample space. During lunch hours it will be busy. Service is really good.
They have wide variety of sea foods. That’s their speciality. Egg of the Fish aka “ Meen Mutta” is one of their special.
Meals are economical with only 60 rupees. You can have different varieties of curries and fries of seafoods with it. All are economical and worth the price. One portion is enough for one person.
If you are a seafood lover do drop in for some lip smacking food.

Fish and the place within proper city limits that comes to my mind is Sehiyon. Name the variety of sea-food (not the fancy ones) and I am sure the chances of you finding it @ Sehiyon is really high. Famed for the meen mutta (Roe) roast and fry, there’s not a chance you will not want to order one more plat of it. While you are seated for lunch, the serving personnel, brings the entire seafood menu available on a platter and leaving you really confused as to what to order – more often than not, we have ended up asking them to leave the entire platter itself there. I love the fish thenga aracha curry (fish in grated coconut gravy) over there. Be sure, to go slow with the rice, else you may not end up finishing whatever you have ordered. Not very pricy or anything and so do not expect anything fancy including the ambience and facilities. In the evening the place serves some traditional Christian ware in the form of Pidi (Rice dumplings in thick coconut sauce) and Onnakka Kappa (Sun-dried tapioca) to go along with some really good chicken roast and the day’s fish curries.

This is a laid back, regular restaurant open for all. A comfortable space with Kerala cuisines at affordable prices. Their delicacies include all fish fry’s, beef, chicken, prawns, fish egg roasts and every thing else. Fish items sells like pancakes and that is what is most sought after. Superb place to eat authentic Kerala cuisine. They serve a choice of meals or make your own combo.
The meal is the best options with your choice of side orders and we had quite a few. In the meal they serve Boiled Rice, vegetable of the day, chutney, pickle and papad. For the gravy you can choose from Sambar or Fish Curry and to finish the meal a nice buttermilk curry called pacha mor (pardon if not spelled or pronounced correctly).
They bring the fish varieties to your table to choose which include prawns and squid.
Definitely a great place to eat but currently open for breakfast and lunch only. Mathew the owner said post Onam he plans to open for dinner.
Great kerala local food at very cost effective prices. Their lunch is very famous and offers lot of options for fish. They literally bring a huge plate with all their fish options.
Meals + Fish is the awesome combo. They also off late serve chapathi for lunch. The beef fry chapathi combo is great! The beef fry is one of the best in town! Don’t miss it.
In addition many people don't know but they serve nice breakfast as well. Their puttu kadal is taste! I really liked it.
Ambiance is average but food quality is good.
If you are hunting a place for a decent Kerala meals then Sehiyon is one good option. It's always tight packed and buzzing. Every office going person would prefer it for their amazing Kerala Meals.
Talking in terms of food then all the goodies here are worth trying. There are lots of nadan fish items to choose from. Let alone be the Beef roast or chicken curry it's a talking point.

Small eatery.Serves great seafood. Thats it. Period. Crowded on any usual day. Meals are pretty basic ,however the accompaniments that you pay for take it to the next level. Fish egg Roast is their signature dish and tastes yummy. Also tried some fried prawns and meen peera... recommended...yet to try their beef ..satisfying lunch for two at a tad less than 400 bucks..ambience and service are below par like any other small yet great food place...but for a foodie that should be the last thing if you are out searching for a great fish meal.

Shehiyon is a name known to kochikar but not familiar to others. I am not from kochin but ended up in this place thorugh recommenation from a friend.
So you will get meals for 40 and wide array of seafood dishe's. Meals is an average one but the dishes they are offering is awesome.
There is huge list of seafood varieties.so go and try it for a seafood experience.
Lip-smacking Kerala seafood. Went there on my friend's recommendation. Fantastic food. Highlight is the Fish egg roast. Still drooling. Can't wait to go to Sehiyon again.

Had lunch from this restaurant. Good meals. Limited subjis bt tasty. Different variety of curry available with meals. Non veg also many varieties available. We tried chala thava fry and aiyila polichathu. Aiyila polichathu was average and chala tava fry was very good. Parking is limited. In front of the shop we can park. Inside restaurant is spacious. Service is also good. Meals also tasty. Meals 80rs

I had lunch at this place specialised in fish dishes. The ambiance was a bit lacking, but the service was fair. The saving grace was the excellent quality of the fish dishes, which made the overall experience enjoyable.
The food is amazing. Went there seeing a reel of a vlogger. The food is very tasty, specially the fish curry. But i felt the the dishes are a bit ober priced. I tried their meals with kakka fry, kozhuva fry and chemballi curry. Being a lover of deep fried kakka it was amazing. The fish curry was superb. Kozhuva fry seem to be normal.
Regarding the prices
Meals is charged 80 rs( the quality of the curries and the fish gravy is very good but still i feel 80 is a bit high)
Kozhuva fry is 80 rs
Kakka fry is charged 50 rs
Chemballi curry costed me 180 rs, that too for a small slice
Bt still i am happy as i am ready to give money to who serve good food
It's a quiet little place tucked into a little inside pulleppady jn. The specialty is the availability of all kinds of fish in variety of preparations, in small quantities so that you can enjoy multiple dishes without endangering your wallet.
Ambience is spacious and front side is fully opened tried non veg meals it was good with side of Karimeen Pollichathu in authentic taste
Five star is given for a neat and clean restaurant with variety of sea food items for the lunch. Parking area is very less. Do not expect a good ambience but the lunch with Fish will not disappoint you.

Decent food, famous for their seafood meals. They have seafood varieties. I have gone there plenty of times and it's a good place to have lunch and it's served on banana leaf.
Hotel Sehiyon is a clean and decent place with a good mix of crowds. There was a huge rush considering it was lunch time but thankfully we found a place to sit in a cozy corner. We ordered meals which was served to us in a couple of minutes. Rice, pappad, two simple curries, pickle. We were offered sambhar or fish curry for gravy
A very delicious and simple spot for lunch! Definetly a must try. The Pidi and Kozhicurry was very yumm. Also fish and seafood is available at very affordable rates
