Very good tasty food offering with both veg and non-veg options.

Small restaurant. Parking is avaliable. Food is OK but bit expensive. Clean rest room and wash area. Clean and tidy. Supportive staff.

not spacious but food quality is good

I am very much thrilled as I and my friend had a visit to this reasturant. The food was good specially the chicken Biryani and Fish curry meals.

Been here with Akul Nair for lunch few days back.<br/>It was a clean place, good arrangements and service. It has a provision for outside view, but the view being of an old government building. The lighting was proper, by the way. The menu card was too big for one to hold ...lol.... The variety they offer is also fine<br/>Ordered for Kerala porotta, meet curry and dragon chicken. Porotta was a fine experience and the same with meat. But meat roast curry being of far lesser quality than expected. Dragon chicken was rather less dragon kind and more salty. I didn't like that. Moreover it wasn't much crispy. I prefer calling it Drunken Salcken ....hehe...<br/><br/>At the bottom line, it's an OKAY restaurant for quick lunch and porotta...

Review No 410:<br/><br/>One of the first place I tried on reaching Cochin. What a wasted opportunity Zaika for making a good impression. I've never rated a place Zero on its food. Zaika took that spot.<br/><br/>On informing the gentleman at the counter that I was looking to try their Malabari cuisine, he explained the menu and we settled in for the following: <br/><br/>a. Madakka Chappathy (Rs 20 per piece) : which I was informed was a variation of a Malabari Parotha. I'm no expert in Malabari Cuisine but this was just pretty average.<br/><br/>b. Prawns Pepper Fry (Rs 190): Probably the only dish which was value for money. Spicy and with limited prawns but manageable.<br/><br/>c. Mutton Fry (Rs 180): I want you to look at the attached picture. Off the 12 pieces of mutton in the dish, 10 were just literally bones. I have never posted such a feedback or pictures in the past 400 odd reviews. Their apathy towards a visitor to their beautiful city was evident.<br/><br/>Ambience: The place is set up decently with ventilation on two sides, specifically for those humid sunny afternoons.<br/><br/>Price: The prices are definitely VFM on paper but in my case, they lacked in delivery of the actual product.<br/><br/>Service: It’s one thing to be nice to a customer on the face and make fun behind his back...being ignorant that the customer cannot hear you or understand you. I've given it a 4 just because of the tandoori chicken and egg fried rice, so mouth watering and delicious. Butter chicken was also just good. But Kadhai paneer was not up to the mark and same was with chapatis. Nevertheless, it has good Ambience, courteous staff and timely service.

First of all, very sweet waiters! The porotta is amazing; perfectly made. But the chilli chicken gravy was a let down with its bones galore!

We had chicken biriyani and egg friedrice and both were very satisfying. I loved the ambience and good service. But its sad that only tomato sauce and chilli sauce is served with the friedrice. High time soy sauce be made mandatory in the restaurants. <br/>Way to go .<br/>Cheers.

Good ambience but average taste. We 8 people's reachd there at 8'o clock and ordered around 9 dishes but sorry to say except beef dish all others disappointed. <br/>

Had a dinner at zaika. Good ambience. But the welcoming smell was not pleasant as the room was filled with the smell of the floor cleaner, anyways we got used to it.<br/><br/>The welcome drink "black tea" was a little strong flavoured. We intended to taste some squid as it was a "fish festival", but unfortunately they didn't have any squid as it was not available at the market. So we settled with chemeen piriyan masala, prawns biriyani, chicken mugalai(we asked for chickn dopiazo, but chef was absent).<br/><br/>The quality and taste was satisfactory. Biriyani was good.<br/><br/>Overall ambience was good.

The location is easy to find,ambiance is fine, I like the taste of food but serving time is pretty much. No language problem as staff understand Hindi and English,so if you have a good time in hand while roaming in Cochin city and Marin drive zaika is good place to eat

The restaurant is very well located. The have both quick dining seating as well family seating. Nothing fancy but a clean place. But food is very mediocre. If i am paying 180 for a mutton biryani i expect some quality n diference.. it was just simple mutton curry n ghee rice. To top it all the musambi juice we ordered was downrght sour. Definitely a place you can pass. The 3 is just for the cleanliness😔😔😔😔
