Very good experience! Asia Kitchen matched up to the term “fine dining” in the true sense of the term. Their Japanese Wheat Noodles and Mango Jalapeño Martini were the best. Do try these on your next visit to Asia Kitchen.

This place was in my bucket list for a while and hence visited this place to taste the best of mainland china. I was extremely hopeful because I am a very loyal customer of mainland china. I visited the outlet in acropolis mall. It was a Sunday. There was wait time but we got the place to sit after a while. Coming to the next bit that is serving time. I waited for a significant amount of time to get what I ordered that killed my mood because I was starving. I can’t complain about the food. It was amazing. Chicken was tender and the food was the only thing stood out in this experience. I still like mainland china better.

One of my most favourite Chinese joint in Kolkata. Few days back visited this place as Asia Kitchen reopened at Acropolis and I can't wait to have their authentic chinese food. Ambiance was good as usual. You can enjoy your food while watching live cooking. So basically what you will have they will make infront of you. Mainland china is maintaining all hygiene and safety protocols.

Coming to the food . I visited this place for a lunch couple of days ago.
Tried :-

Sichuan chicken with cashew nuts
Tom yam fried rice
Stir fried black pepper mushroom
Carmel sponge cake.

Each and every dishes were outstanding. Do visit your favourite chinese brand from Kolkata.

Relish the true Asian flavours as Asia Kitchen by Mainland China reopens its doors.!

Resisting the true Asian flavours has never been so tough, than with Asia Kitchen by Mainland China becoming inaccessible due to the ongoing pandemic. With things slowly starting to unravel, with most of us trying to go back to the normal life, this Asian hub reopens its door for the patrons, taking requisite sanitization measures and maintaining hygiene protocols. Some throwback to the old cherished menu and a couple of new additions made our tastebuds go all watery, and it was hard to resist the ultimate beckoning of true good food with us landing straight to Acropolis Mall.

Much has been talked about the décor and ambiance in the past. This place boasts of a fine open kitchen, where one gets to see what is being prepared and the exact method it is done so. A clear respite for most of us who get a bit ticklish, when it comes to knowing how the restaurant is maintained, a place from where the food is cooked and then brought to our plates. While the cleanliness will make you relax to a while, the same cannot be said when it comes to sniffing aromas and keeping your nerves still while you wait for the delectable food to grace your palettes.

We started off with a classic Thai Chicken Dumpling, a sublime flavour of the Kaffir Limes enticing around the soft steamy chicken, and the basil leaves almost peeping its head out from the transparent thin wrappers. The Sichuan Chicken with Cashewnuts were a sheer explosion in the mouth, with the bright flavours from the Sichuan peppers creating a ripple effect with the crunch of the cashewnuts, and the sweetness from the tomato and peppers. The Crispy Tobanjan Fish had that quintessential smoky aroma of the beans, with a subtle hint of the chillies with the paste.

Next came the classic Lung Fung soup, finely diced chicken engulfed with a cloud of egg whites, and a wholesome plate of mushroom, stir fried to crisp with black peppers. The Cantonese Chicken with Fermented Chillies, which is a recent addition to the menu became by instant favourite. Tossed with ginger, garlic, dry red chillies, scallions and peppers, the boneless diced chicken was tossed in dark soya, light soya, oyster sauce, wine, chilly paste, chilly bean sauce, sesame oil and finished off with Sichuan pepper powder.

I would have gone and eaten some multitude of plates of this, until my very favorite Chicken Penang Curry made its arrival. A sweeter and nuttier version of the Red Thai Curry, pairing this with the Jasmine Rice makes no better an experience, even when we devoured the soft and succulent prawns tossed in hot basil sauce with the accompaniment of the classic Tom Yam Fried Rice. The Tom Yam Prawn Fried Rice with its distinct hot and sour flavours was wonderfully done, and so was the Mee Goreng Chicken, with its spicy tone, which paired perfectly with the Prawns.

The ending couldn’t have been perfect with the Caramel Sponge Cake and the wonderful behaviour from those in attendants, the Asian paradise welcomes everyone with open arms to experience the new normal.

Enjoy the Best of Asia Kitchen – A special Nine Course Weekday Lunch Menu.!

A name well known for dishing out gastronomic Asian flavours, Asia Kitchen by Mainland China, since its inception has been a mecca and a must-visit place for all Oriental lovers and Asian fanatics. Exploring such a varied cuisine and doing justice to the same, isn’t easy. Asia Kitchen, a sister concern of the famed Mainland China has been doing just the same, by serving delicious and mouthwatering Asian delicacies on to our plates. Located inside Acropolis Mall, this restaurant is often hailed by food critics for providing a treat, both visual and in terms of flavour, with an unmatched and unparalleled consistency for quite some time now. The first sight which would strike your attention, is definitely the open kitchen.

With the clambering of the utensils, to the high flames beneath the warm wok, to the experienced chefs working attentively to get the minute of details correct and accurate, the flavours of the spices, coming out from the freshly prepared dishes would intoxicate your senses, as you are courteously shown the way to your table. We visited this place quite recently, to have a glimpse of an ongoing festival, which has been named as ‘Best of Asia Kitchen’. Priced at Rs. 545/- + Taxes, this festival comprises of a special nine course weekday lunch, only in the city of Kolkata. Being primarily an alacarte restaurant, the focus here always has been to provide and present a cyclic menu, which would keep revolving, so as to keep the chain of new and innovative flavours up and going. The demand to eat quick and fast, without having to wait much at your tables is on the rise, and hence the onset of the current food festival, Best of Asia Kitchen.

The portion size comes fixed, with the choice of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes in most of the sections. Most of these dishes have their base prepared, and it isn’t mandatory here, to start from scratch. Thus, this saves time and conserves a lot of effort so as to make the dishes come to your table in no time. We started with a South-East Asian classic, Green Papaya & Raw Mango Salad. This popular Yam Mamuang, a clever twist on the Thai-famed Som Tam had strips of finely sliced papaya, strips of finely sliced raw mangoes, ginger, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and carrots mixed with lemon juice, garlic, salt and a bit of sugar. Being the vegetarian version, this was devoid of any fish sauce, but the remaining flavours otherwise completely made up for the missing fish sauce. The taste was sweet, sour and slightly tangy, creating ripples of contrasting and variations of flavours in your mouth, with every bite you would take.

Next to come was a 8 Treasure Soup, of which we opted for the Non-Vegetarian version. A flavourful sweet corn soup, with a texture as clear so as if light could probably make us see what was floating beneath, the soup comprised of diced carrots, spring onions, coriander, corn and ofcourse ample of boiled chicken pieces. A much-needed delight on a cold winter, this really set the tone for the dishes next to come. Chicken Sui Mai, which was next to come was perfectly done, with choices for three sauces to accompany the same. I tried the chilli dip and the vinegar dip, with the Sui Mai tasting fantastic with each of them. For another starter, we were served with Asian Chilli Fish, which had soft and fresh fish coated in a batter, fried to crisp, and then tossed in a sweet and chilli sauce. The addition of the Asian chillies, imparted a slight tinge of heat to the fish and thus elevated the flavours.

For main course, we tried the wonderful chicken Red Thai Curry, which was served with Stir Fried Vegetables and Steamed Rice. Perhaps the best Thai Curry I have ever tasted; this dish outmatched every other one served before. With a gravy so light, yet flavourful and the chicken portions so succulent and creamy, the presence of the coconut milk was just enough, but not overpowering. Pairing this with the fresh hot steaming rice, along with stir fried vegetables, was heavenly. The stir-fried vegetables comprised of carrots, broccoli, bell peppers, shallots, babycorn, and as assortment of other vegetables to go with the main course. For desserts, prepare to enjoy the trifecta of deliciousness, with a plate comprising of an assortment of crispy honey noodles, otherwise known as Darsaan, a delectable caramel sponge cake and the sinful vanilla ice cream.

The best part was the option to choose shrimps in a sauce of your liking, Mojito, Caiprioshka, and Mocktail at a nominal price. The freshly prepared Watermelon Juice along with the Mojito were lovely, and provided a sense of relief to our tummies. This food festival, comprising of the best of cuisines from Asia, is valid for weekday lunch, except ofcourse the festive days. Priced at Rs. 545/- + Taxes for a single person, drop in today to enjoy the variety of Asian cuisine, when combined with the finest of flavours at Asian Kitchen by Mainland China.! #bestofasiakitchen #asiakitchen #ninecourse #setmenu #weekdaylunch #weekday #lunch #asian #fixedportions

Mainland China has already there in our heart with its Chinese cuisine. But today I'll talk about its another brother (or you can call it sister) - Asia Kitchen.

Asia Kitchen by Mainland China presents to you an array of super delicious Oriental food.

The menu will never ever upset you. Specially now, when the whole world is in a crisis situation and most of us are mostly finding ourselves down - food can only be the savior (at least to me).

And in this pandemic situation, while we are Unlocking everything, Asia Kitchen has also reopened its gate for all of their fans out here in Kolkata.

Now let me take you through the dishes that we had here.

We started our foodstatic journey with a mocktail named as Malay Spiced Melon. While the rain and the view were giving a feel of sitting in Darjeeling, we were enjoying every sip of the drink that was served in the wine glass.

And to make it more obvious (the feeling of the hill), we saw the bamboo steamer containing steamed hot Chicken Thai Dumplings coming towards us. This is one of the must try dishes.

Then 'Sichuan Chicken with Cashew Nuts' took an entry and once again we fell for the dish. And not only this dish, we had tasted Crispy Tobanjan Fish which was kind of a show-stopper. The fish strips were so crispy that you can feel it in every bite of yours.

By the way, we had some more dishes, and Cantoneese Chicken with Fermented Chillies was one of them. In fact, we entered the kitchen to see how the chef cooks this particular dish (I'll be uploading the video soon).

But before I forget, let me talk about the Stir Fried Black Pepper Mushroom. In every chunk you can feel the aroma of black pepper and butter along with its taste. (I would love to have this everyday)

Wait, wait, wait - I'm almost forgetting to tell about the Lung Fung Soup. I know, you know so many places that are famous for this particular dish, but please try this from Asia Kitchen once to prove yourself wrong. You might also change your opinion like me and come to the conclusion that Asia Kitchen serves the best Lung Fung Soup.

Despite these we tasted a very small portion from the mains (we were full) - Chicken Penang Curry, Prawn in Hot Basil Sauce, Tom Yam Prawn Fried Rice and Mi Goreng Chicken.

Yes, we tasted just a spoon from each of these mentioned dishes (mains), so that we could enjoy the dessert. It was the best Caramel Sponge Cake. Trust me, if you are also a diabetic like me, you can have it as it has very less sugar in it; and the sponge was actually a sponge.

So lastly, let me assure you about the safety quotient - they are not just maintaining the sanitization guidelines, they are actually maintaining the social distancing part also. They have arranged the sitting arena in every alternative table only.

What are you thinking now? Just go and visit and enjoy food..

By the way, don't forget to click before you eat and post them on your digital handles. Happy Eating..!

Homecoming to Kolkata is never complete without a dinner with my parents in any of the Chinese food-joints in Kolkata. Yes, we have tried almost all the Chinese places in Kolkata - all the ones in Tangra, Jimmy's Kitchen, Mainland China, Mandarin to name a few.
Another reason was it's so near to my Kolkata home-it's located on the third floor of the less crowded Acropolis Mall.

We had made a reservation because of the weekend crowd. The place was nicely decorated, though I would appreciate the tables being organised a bit more. The open kitchen and the bar is a new feature, especially in Kolkata.

We were greeted with Jasmine tea and we ordered some mocktails, the notable was the Thai exotica and spiced melon mocktail. We went past the conventional dimsums and soup and ordered Roasted duck Baos and Green papaya and raw mango salad. Both were well made and presented.
I tried Nasi Goreng while my parents stuck to Hakka noodles (Pan fried noodles) and we coupled these with Stir fried Chicken and Asian greens in a clay pot. This was the highlight- the presentation, the taste and portion- all were up to the mark.

We had the palm jaggery ice cream to round it off (Do try this, it's amazing- Gurer icecream).
It was a very nice experience and the walk back home from Acropolis was all about when to go back.

|| Asia Kitchen by Mainland China 🤤 ||

My 250th Review!! So, it should be special and big!! 💙

So, it can't be better when you are reviewing about the Asia Kitchen by Mainland China on this big moment.

Oriental and Pan-Asian Cuisine is a true delight to have and it is loved by many of us. I doubt if anyone can turn down Pan-Asian food in Kolkata. With those outstanding Awadhi, Indian, Mughlai, and other Cuisines around the corner Asian Cuisine Food is making its market slowly and steadily. Due to this increasing Demand for good Authentic Pan Asian food quite a lot of restaurants have coming up in the city dedicated to meet this surge for Asian flavors.
If you are a lover of Chinese and Asian delicacies, then “Asia Kitchen by Mainland China” is one of the finest and best places in the city to satisfy your taste buds over drool-worthy dishes. Since its inception has been a must-visit place for all Oriental lovers and Asian fanatics in the town. Asia Kitchen, a sister concern of the famed Mainland China has been doing just the same, by serving delicious and mouthwatering Asian delicacies on to our plates. With more and more Kolkatans broadening their culinary palette and wanting to experiment with food from the Asian cuisine, Asia Kitchen offers the right ambience for Chinese and Asian food and a perfect fine dining experience. Wanted to try this place since a long time as I am big fan of Asian food. and heard really good reviews about Asia Kitchen so one day came here for lunch with my friends.

📍 Location: This Asian Kitchen is at 4th Floor of Acropolis Mall, Rajdanga Main Road, Kasba, Kolkata. It is just beside the Hoppipola.

▶ Ambience/Décor/Service: The ambience of this classy restaurant reflects the gorgeous décor which spread across a wide area and it is a perfect place to try out Pan-Asian dishes with friends and family. The first sight which would strike your attention, is definitely the open kitchen. Asia Kitchen by Mainland China brings all the innovative cuisines of Far-East under one roof. From decor to the outfits the servers wear, you’ll be transported to your favourite South East Asian country. The deep rich red contrasts with the matte black to recreate a very Asian feel in the restaurant. This place has a seating capacity for around 50-60 people at a time. The amazing music played in the background will soothes your mind. The staffs are super friendly & always ready at your service. The service of the place is prompt and amazing to satisfy both the tummy and the heart.

▶ Now let us move to the food and drinks. The menu of Asia Kitchen comprises of dishes that are influences from their Thai, Chinese and Japanese counterparts. The lip-smacking food menu is complimented by an unparalleled fizzy mocktails and drinks. On my recent visit to this place, I tried the following items from the menu ❤️

📌We opted for 👉

❤ Food (Starters) 😋
⚜️ Chicken Sweet Corn Soup
⚜️Chicken Sui Mai- A must try dumplings from the menu.
⚜️Chicken Spring Roll
⚜️ Chicken Treasure Eight Soup- This soup was really yummy.

❤ Main Course🍗
🔸 Moving on to the Main Course:
⚜️ Chicken Hakka Noodles
⚜️ Chicken Taboengjan
⚜️ Chicken in Thai Green Curry- This is one of the specialties of this place. This is must try item.

❤ Dessert 😍
🔸 Lastly, the desserts complete the meal with:

⚜️Vanilla ice-cream with Darshan
⚜️ Cheese Sponge Cake- This is a must-try among the desserts. The Sponge cake was yummy.

I am in love with this place as the dishes were really really awesome. Such brilliance in bringing out the flavours from Pan-Asian cuisine. Starting from starter to main course to desserts everything tasted perfect. All the items were delicious and too much tasty, and they give very quantity. 😋

💰 Pocket pinch: - Pinch for two is ₹ 1800 - ₹ 2000 with alcohol for a great experience.

▶Overall: - Overall, I am really very impressed with the place. Had a great dining experience and superlative food. After dining at Asia Kitchen, I have gladly added one more name to my list of "Go-to” Pan Asian Food Joints. Newly introduced 10 Course Lunch Set from ASIA KITCHEN by MAINLAND CHINA is an absolute steal deal !! I simply loved the quality of every item served from the Menu. There was absolutely no complaint regarding the taste. Crispy Honey Fried Noodles with Vanilla Ice cream is my all time favourite from here. Incredible professionalism and assistance from the staff and one thing that I loved the most and it should be made compulsory is the FEEDBACK that they're taking from all the guests. Great hospitality and of course hygiene was top-notch 👍🏼 From droolworthy starters and soup to the classic maincourse, it didn't seem to disappoint me except the crackling spinach which I think can be altered with something else. Showstopper was the Caramelized Sponge Cake and it just drove me to a different universe altogether. Therefore, this newly launched Asian Lunch Set is a must try! 10 Course Lunch Set 🍱 comprised of Eight Treasure Prawn Soup🍲 Chicken Siu Mai ( Dimsuns )🥟 Thai Chilli Chicken🍗 Crackling Spinach🥗 Chicken in Thai Green Curry🥘 Fish in Hot Basil Sauce🐟 Steamed Rice🍚 Egg n' Veg Hakka Noodles 🍜 Crispy Honey Noodles with Vanilla 🍨 Caramel Sponge Cake 🍰 🔺 Add-on 99/- you'll get Prawns in sauce of your choice 🔻 Add-on 69/- you'll get Mocktail as well ( limited choice ) ⚜️ Non-shareable 💲Mondays and Tuesdays ( 595/- + GST) 💲 Wednesday - Friday ( 675/- + GST )

A good place for a date. I enjoyed my time here. The food was good. The Chinese pan-fried fish dish was the best. The tempura prawn sushi was good too but could have more flavour. The garlic chicken was good too. All went well with the vodka. Had vodka with orange and mango juice. It was overall a nice experience. The hosts were decent and nice. Even the manager(?) also visited our table and asked if the food was alright or not. Would recommend you to visit.

Asian Kitchen being part of the Mainland China group has always been one of the finest providers of Chinese/Korean/Thai food. And as expected we had a brilliant time last week at the Asia Kitchen branch in the Acropolis. The staff were very courteous and they made our lunch experience more pleasant with their warm gestures and suggestions. We tried out Starters - Asian Chilli Fish - Chilli Teriyaki Chicken Main Course - Chicken Nasi Goreng - Chicken Wok Tossed Hakka Noodles Side dish - General Tao's Favorite Chicken - Roasted Lamb in Chilli Bean Sauce Beverage - Fresh Lime Soda Enjoyed each and every item that was served. All of the starters, main course and side dish were delicious, served with the courteous warmth resulting in an awesome experience in the restaurant. I would highly recommend it to everyone who wants to try out asian fine dining in the city. Only downside is the high price of the items. However, one small hack - use Swiggy Dineout to get a flat 10% discount and top it up with an additional 5% if you have a HDFC card. Must enjoy the food here!
