The Darjeeling is located in Salt Lake City, DB block. They serve a wide variety of Chinese and Tibetan dishes, at affordable prices. They have an outdoor seating arrangement, which is a very beautiful spot to be having your steaming hot momos at! Brownie points for the complimentary soup they serve alongside every plate of momo! Try their steamed as well as fried momos, neither is going to disappoint you. Prices are reasonable, and this is a place where you get one of the best momos available in city. So what are you waiting for? The Darjeeling awaits you!

Momos are the best anytime. The pork momos doesn't require a review to be described. Hope the waiting time is lesser the next time ❤️😋

The best hangout place for Chinese food and the best is jhol momo which was suggested to us. It is a northeastern delicacy and it was lovely. They are following the proper sanitation process and maintaining the hygiene levels as well.

Very affordable and good to go.

I am a big fan of this place.
From the beautiful balcony seating to the delicious food that this place serves ,I love it all.
The pork momo with corn soup is a big hit. The momos are next level. The filling is extremely delicious and well made. The dumplings of this place is by far one of the best in town.
I also ordered mixed glass noodles which had egg ,prawn and pork. I loved every bite of it. The pork was just amazing. To accompany this I had the spicy chilli chicken . Loved the hint of spices and the sweetness of the sauce. Great balance of flavours.
Completely worth the money.
Thumbs up to this goodness. Can't wait to go back to this place.

A smal joint near cc1.
The ambiance is amazing.

The foods are delicious and mouthwatering.
Try their veg steamed momo, chicken thukpa, schezwan veg fried rice, kung pao chicken.

The quality is more perfect than their price.

A quaint little place but the food is an absolute delight. The Chicken Shyapta and Pork chilly is truly amazing. One of the few places serving authentic Tibetan food.

You will find tasty and unique Tibetan delicacies in this place at a lower cost as compared to other Tibetan restaurants. Quality of food is very good. Served quantity is enough for an average human being. This place is one my favourite restaurant in Sector-1.

In the year of 1950, Republic of China occupied Tibet. Many Tibetans then migrated to India, Nepal and Bhutan. Mainly in hilly areas. At that time, the influence of Tibetan culture spread in several regions of India. This effect comes across beautifully on the food plate. 2 Tibetan food became very popular. Especially those, who love to travel to the mountains, have tested it once. One is Thukpa and the other is Sha Phalay or Shafale. Thukpa can be eaten for lunch or dinner. But you should eat shafale for breakfast or evening snacks. Shafale is made by deep frying chicken and onion filling in a dough. It looks like a crescent moon. Many of you know Thukpa. Noodles in soup with vegetables and chicken pieces. Veg thukpa is also available. These items are available in many places in Kolkata itself. However, a restaurant called "The Darjeeling" in Salt Lake Square offers many more Tibetan dishes apart from these two delicacies. The price is also within reach. To enjoy Darjeeling delicacies while sitting in Kolkata, you can visit "The Darjeeling" in one day.

It's like a mini hills feeling. Momos taste too good. Other foods are good too. Behaviour of staff are humble. We went on a rainy day so outside sitting was romantic but bit wet You must try momos and soups. Parking is available on the roads. They don't have many tables.

This place is an absolute love. Though it’s not spacious but you will get some heavenly delicious food up here. We had ordered pork kothay and chicken phalay. We loved both the dishes. The staff here is so humble and well behaved. And there is absolutely nothing you can complain about the food served. They were just heaven in the mouth. Would definitely recommend this place.

Pocket friendly and no compromise on taste, The Darjeeling is a place where you'd want to go when you miss the Hills. The staff are very nice and courteous, and the service is prompt. Their menu comprises classics you'd find in North Bengal, Nepal and Sikkim. No fancy experimentation, just straightforward good food.

Food quality is average. won't say too good. I tried pork and it was a little smelly which i really didn't like. But other than that chinese foods are good. The environment is very nice, it's the best thing about this restaurant.

Located in sector 1 Salt Lake, this restaurant is one of the Tibetan restaurants in Kolkata. Location prime. Parking - U can park a car or bike easily on the nearby road. Ambiance - very good. A small restaurant with a roadside balcony gives a very feelgood mood. Food - Momos were very good. Love the chicken steamed momo. Phalays also good. Shyapta was realy boring . Thupka n Kawri was not available on that day. Staff- ok ok. Server need to be more informative about food. Price n Payment - price very reasonable. card n upi payment also available Overall a decent restaurant to try Tibetan dishes in saltlake.

It's awesome experience... Little cozy kind of atmosphere with a kind of small rooftop or open air seating arrangement is there, which I liked most. Restaurant owner is so much humble, I decided to order double fried pork but he said us to order Roasted Chilli Pork. We ordered Roasted Chilli Pork, Drums of Heaven, Darjeeling Spicy Fish and Mixed (also there is option of without pork) Meifoon. I definitely recommend The Darjeeling due to taste and atmosphere, but one think I should tell, probably the main course item like rice or noodles are not sufficient to share for two peoples. Otherwise it's a absolute great experience
