The interior of the place is very gorgeous. The sitting arrangements are very comfortable. When I visited I took:
GONDHORAJ CHICKEN PAKORA
Preparation was very tasty and crispy . Chicken piece inside coating was soft and juicy . It's served along with salad and khasandi (mustard sauce) . The preparation tastes unique just like it's name . You should definitely try this out.
KEEMA MOTORSUTI POLAO
This was a unique rice item with a month watering flavour . Minced mutton pieces were soft and goes perfectly with the flavour and peas. Whenever you you visit this it's a must try . You can also order any kind of gravy item as a complimentary to enhance your overall experience.
CHICKEN DAKBANGLOW
It's a delightful Bengali dish containing a boiled egg and a juicy piece of chicken swimming in the special dakbanglow gravy . The gravy was quite spicy and a great unique flavour. It goes perfectly with pulao or paratha as a complimentary .

I am just speechless after visiting this restaurant. I mean being a Bengali still I have to say this restaurant just nailed it. So we ordered a lot of dishes actually. You can see that clearly from the image below. But what attracted me most was the daab chingri. I mean this is a must try dish. It was like authentic bengali type. I just love this place. It's a must must must recommend place.
I heard of their fabulous Bengali cuisine so many times that I had to visit by myself...so I went there to try some authentic Bengali food... Though the kalighat outlet is small but the employees are very humble and responsible... I tried gandhoraj chicken pakora and vetki macher paturi as starter then basanti polao and mutton kasha as main course then I also tried there aam doi... All of the dishes are just perfect and will surely satisfy your cravings for Bengali food.

Daab chingri is just awesome
We ordered steamed rice, begun Bhaja, Sona moog daal, mutton Dak Bunglow and Chana dalna. Pocket pinch 650 + taxes. Mutton dak bunglow the best served here, must try dish.

Ordered Chicken Thali for lunch during the lockdown on Thursday, the 20th of August. Delivery was smooth and that too in continued rain. In two words, very good. Highly recommended. Taste and quantity is commendable.

This was one of my most amazing overall experiences in a restaurant. And believe me when I say this - It's totally worth it. This restaurant is in 1st Floor. You can easily spot it. From the food to the atmospheric experience, it's all fantastic for me. Everyone's happy when they feel their money's well spent and I think you won't argue with me here in this place. It's a must try for me. ✌🏻

Located just beside the Charuchandra College. The atmosphere is really good and it'll definitely remind you of that iconic character Damodar Seth written by Rabindranath Tagore.
We ordered Mahabhoj Non-veg thali, still I can't remember the name & it cost 950/- + GST. So many items are over there (check images), I'll not name it separately.
Rice & Pulao quantity was not enough for two people, though they mentioned it. So, we ordered extra rice and Mutton was replaced with Kacha Lanka Murgi as per our choice.
Sukto was just too delicious and the restaurant maintained its delicacy. Pulao, Begun Bhaja, Aloo posto, Sona moong Dal, Jhuri aloo Bhaja, Chingri malaikari, Aamer Chutney were tasty.
Kacha Lanka Murgi really tastes different. Fulko Luchi always tastes best but I think they forgot that. Bhetki Paturi could be better.
One thing I would mention to the restaurant, it's a pure Bengali restaurant and music should be in Bengali language not in Hindi.
The overall experience was good. You can pay a visit once.
It was an awesome experience at the Khanti Damodar Seth. We ordered the fish diamond fry,bhetki paturi,basanti pulao,chicken gondhoraj pakora,mutton dakbanglow,ampanna along with a coke. Every item of the bengali cuisine was scrumptious. The mutton pieces were greatly cooked. One should try their vetki paturi must.overall the ambience, the behaviour and the food were totally value for money.
A very good place for authentic bengali food in South Kolkata. Lot of bengali fish, mutton, and chicken dishes are available and the taste of the food is awesome at a reasonable price. Not too much spicy but well cooked with a mesmerizing flavor of the traditional dishes. If anybody visits the place to get a taste of bengali food my suggestion is must go for "bhetki/ilish paturi'' and "daab chingri" with "mahabhoj thali". If someone is vegan a variety of good options for them also available.
Overall the ambience of the restaurant bringing your appetite for a heavy meal and the service is also quite satisfying.

A good bengali restaurant very near to Lake Mall serving bengali delicacies. The space is not so much but very well decorated. The food was good and the price was quite pocket friendly. Good experience it was.

Good atmosphere restaurant, staff behavior is polite. All items I got is good, but daab chingri is Bitter too much and it is too much expensive as compared quality, for this reason I never recomend any one. I definitely told them who will want to go this restaurant please try " gondoraj chicken, vetki paturi, mutton kasha (highly highly recommend), payes( highly recommend)
