I started to eat south indian dishes after i tasted masala dosa here for first time.. It was nice.. Place is bit clumsy.. But it's good food at reasonable price
It was really nice, the taste, the behaviour of staffs, the behaviour of manager, the taste was really nice, the hot sambhar with coconut chutney wow❤️
Best place to have south indian food around behala area...I personally like the masala dhosa because it's so crunchy and really good.a must visit for south indian lovers
Favourite since so many years!
This south Indian food joint is quite old and extremely popular among people living in behala..there's no hi-fi seating arrangements neither it's air conditioned but always over crowded and people over there are always busy in either serving their customers or preparing something for parcel.
Masala dosa, cheese masala dosa, onion dosa, dahi vada, idli or whatever they prepare is good, need a little improvement though..they don't take much time to serve instead of having a heavy rush almost all the time..price totally reasonable. This place 'll never disappoint your tummy ☺
The place is good..The quality of food is great..We ordered masala dhosa..The taste is great and they serve the food quickly..The proces are within range..Overall good experience ☺️
Very nice place for south Indian food like dhosa idli.....
Veg plllow is also very good and reasonable price..

The best dosa corner of behala...they serve the best dosas in Kolkata in a very pocket friendly price...not only dosas... whatever dishes they offer...are awesome...the quality and quantity of the food is awesome... paradise for South Indian food lovers..
Thanks to my school being located just down the street fromI've been visiting this South Indian restaurant since my childhood.
📌 Location- United cafe is located adjacent to the Ashoka Cinema and opposite the Manton Supermarket.
⏺️ Rating- 5/5
📌 Ambience- The cafe can get a little claustrophobic in the summers but since most people visit it for a quick bite,it should be too big of a deal.
⏺️ Rating- 3. 5/5
📌 Service- The staff is prompt at their response and wait time is about 5-10 mins max.
⏺️ Rating- 5/5
📌 Food- The dishes they serve is just the regular Dosa, idli, vada etc. They used to taste incredible but overtime the coconut chutney and sambar has someone derailed in terms of quality.
⏺️ Rating- 3.5/5
There's no doubt about the fact that this place is a cult favorite in most people living in and around Behala. But it'd be great if they could on their food quality a little bit more.
Visiting this Cafe since I was a baby . I first tasted South Indian cuisine here only . My favourites are Masala Dosa, Veg Pulao, Onion Uttampam and Dahi Vada . All so yummy. Highly recommended.
Whoever's living in behala for more than a decade, must know definitely about this age old eatery at the heart of Behala. Serving the best south Indian dishes. The best dosa is the town. They have the softest idlis, the strongest filter coffee, the best dahi vada, the tastiest veg pulao at pocket friendly price.
I have been having south Indian food here since I was a child. I wont say it's the best in Kolkata but it is the best south Indian restaurant in this entire behala region. Sometimes when the chef changes things don't taste the same but I visited a few days back and the food was really good.
This is perhaps the oldest south indian food joint in behala. I have been eating here since childhood. Though many years have passed but the quality of food they provide is still the same. This joint serves the best dosa. I am also very much fond of their sambar. The unique taste that it has can be found nowhere.
A legend in Behala. We just love the food from this south Indian restaurant / cafe . My personal favorite is the sada vada abd the butter onion paper dosa. Other recommendations are the veg Pulao and uthappam.
It's the best place to have South Indian food. The food quality is great and the amount is also good.
I tried masala dosa-₹80
It's more than enough for one person and it tastes awesome.
Previously, i have also tried dahi vada and sada vada. Which were also awesome.
A must visit cafe if you are in this area .
It's an amazing spot to get delicious comfort food. I have been going there since childhood and it's safe to say that I've never been disappointed with the quality of their food and service. I have tried many of their dishes but their Dahi Vada is just amazing. Overall New United Cafe is really nice spot to hangout with friends or eat out with family.
During my stay in Behala, Kolkata I had been to this café twice for lunch. Its a South Indian café with some awesome & delicious foods.
The place is quite small and a bit congested with sitting arrangement for few number of customers.
Service is fast and food is the best. And in my opinion it is the best South Indian Cafe you will find in Behala.
I had tried Dahi Vada and Pulao served with chutney, sambar and raita. Dahi Vada has a sweet and chatpata taste here with sev and cashews garnished on it.
The pulao has a completely balanced taste and goes well with the side dishes.
A restaurant that is serving the peoples of Behala last three decades approx, with quality South Indian Foods. The best item is Veg Polao which is available from late breakfast to lunch time only. Must try one!
Coming here for the last 12 years. Same taste and quick service. Oldest and best cafe for South Indian food in Behala.
Best south indian in Behala area in a pocket friendly price.
Must try the pulao
