Sometimes on weekends I have a beer in the outlet. It is a low key restaurant and very pocket friendly. It is mainly frequented by people returning from office or people passing by.
The food is awesome here irrespective of thinly crowd in a working day or heavy footfall in the weekends.
The place is highly recommended for
1.Awsome food quality and quantity.
2.pocket friendly.
3.excellent service and staff behaviour
4.low key decor but adds to your fun quotient.
But remember it is not a place for anything fancy but u can have a wholesome experience regarding drink and food.

Very very beautiful place. Food is too good and reasonable. Special treatment is really appreciating! Ambience is superb.Waiters are really helpful, polite, well behaved and co operative. I will definitely suggest to others.

Hav tried there Ac section long long time back nothing Spl just common pricing bar with pricing at par with other bars in area
The restraunt was Clean and service was good dnt Knw I will visit again or not but overall not a bad experience
Intro : I had been to this place around 4-5 years back once , was passing by then , decided to have a drink, found the place to be gloomy .In this visit , I found the place totally revamped, lot of beautification done.
Food : No food! Just a bottle of lager beer !
Overall : Enjoyed the new look and feel !

Mainly fav of office goer , interior is spacious but sm peculiar smelly might b due to damp effect in ac part! Clean n tidy with good cutlery , regarding food quality is nothing remarcable quantity also good as per price, liquor stock is mainly for regular boozer but cheap in comparison to d establishment.Stewards r polite n efficient overall not bad for be a patron for a while
I used to be a regular here when my office was near it, now I have shifted to park street and I miss Cecil. It is a bar for people with tight budgets. It has friendly waiters, good north indian food(specially tandoor items) and cheap alchohol. My favorite is Chicken Tikka Masala. The ambience is good too, you can enjoy your drink without anyone disturbing you.
Quite regular here now-a-days as it is near to my office. They have drinks & food at quite low price..Service is good enough..Ambiance is good enough for one or two drinks...Obviously I don't consider it as a family restaurant..But for a drink or snacks it is really good..
I was quite a regular at this place.... very cheap n good food..specialy the veg ones..u cam try out their peas masala with roti or nun...they have an ac family room on the 1st floor..but i always find myself comfortable at ground floor..the waiters r very friendly...alchohol is cheap..

Central is the nearest metro station. It has AC & non AC two segments. The place has no music, so you've to depend on good conversations! Cecil is one of the cheapest bars in Kolkata, and a favourite place for office goers, as they visit here before heading towards home.
The food is really good. We tried Crispy Chicken and Egg Pakora, both turned out tasty, not even oily! The alcoholic beverages come at very reasonable prices!
For drinkers, Cecil Bar & Rrestaurant is a well-known name in Kolkata's heartland. The police station in Lalbazar is only 2 minutes away from this old Bar & Restaurant. After almost ten years, I returned to this location, recalling many memories. Here I drank beer and ate lunch. The meal is delicious, but the pricing is not cheap. Giving soaked and cooked gram is still a common practise here. There is no parking nearby so if you have a car or byke you will have problems. Currently the AC restaurant is closed. 👈
This is an average bar cum restaurant and a popular place to hang out to have drinks and food near Lal Bazar Police Station. the price is reasonable.

This bar is located at central kolkata, lal bazar area. Well decorated, Nice ambience however service need to be improved, variety of food & alcohol is available at pocket friendly rates. Ground floor is non AC & 1st floor is AC, 10-15 min from Central Metro st.
I have been going there for 10years. The ambience is good, I've been there with my family too. Service is extremely good. Food is tasty and cheaper. Liquor is cheaper. Never had any bad experience there. They've got an AC cabin too for private small parties like birthday etc. I love to go there again and again. It's safe
Very affordable prices with a delightful taste of quality food and quantity. Service was pleasantly admirable. Perfect place to hang out in an amiable ambiance. If you visit try their dry chilly chicken with bone surely you like to try it again and again.
The only Bar cum Restaurant at the Central Kolkata that offers variety of drinks at a low price that many people can't even imagine today. Also, the variety and taste of starters and main course items are quite good. Very large, spacious and comfortable. Location is terrific as transport facility both to Sealdah and Howrah Station from this place is always available even at late night.
