One of the nicest Bengali food in the New Market area. I had several breakfast items here and I have liked all of them. I would not recommend the tea because you will find lot better outside the restaurant.

One of those restaurants which serves Bangladeshi food in Kolkata and perhaps, the best available in this area. Most of the customers you will encounter are from Bangladesh. There is a breakfast option available from 8 AM which includes nice home-like food. Bhuna Khichuri is a must-try. I also like their Porota with Chholar Dal. From afternoon, you will get Bengali food. If you are there for lunch, do not miss the varieties of Bhorta that they prepare. The best Morog Pulao of Kolkata is available here only.
It was sunday lunch time and I decided to have a bangal lunch. I have had lunch at this place earlier so, I decided to give it another try.
I ordered Morog pulao, Dal bharta (because you gotta try bharta), mix sabji and papad.
All tasted good but I had better expectations from morog pulao which I found nothing extra ordinary.
I am a regular at this place,all the dishes are good,personal favourites are murog-pulao and caramel custard.....friendly,courteous staaf,prompt service,very,very obliging manager.....family atmosphere....
Now all the food is tasty. The price is also regonable.
