This is among one of the oldest sweet shop in bara bazar area.They have varieties of sandesh to choose from.So i bought strawberry ,chocolate and pista sandesh.All sandesh were excellent,but the strawberry and chocolate sandesh were very soft and very flavorful.
Surendranath Dey & Sons, is also known as Suren! Is located at Ganesh Takish. At Suren there are two shops. One is for Sandesh & Another one is for Namkin type sweet & snacks. Frm namkin one my favorite Radhaballabi, Sonpapri, Darbesh, Amriti, jive gaja, Dal Ladoo etc. 😊
Well, 1 of the best sweet meat shops in Kolkata, indeed legendary, carrying on the legacy for decades / centuries! Have grew up eating their chocolate Sandesh (which is undoubtedly their signature item) as well as their gulab patti. Their rosogollas as well as rajbhog are again, out of the world!
Have tasted all their items atleast 1 in my life – and the best thing is that their prices are very pocket friendly! And believe me that all their sweets are better than one another!
