I often bring home delivery from this place. The food is homely. Some items to try Chicken Curry,Mutton Kasa,Chicken bharta,matar paneer & palak paneer. The fish items are also good.

Aahhh.... A rainy afternoon and hunger, the best companion possibly can be. I was searching for a Bengali lunch at Shyambazar. Searched at Zomato and came to learn about Hotel Priya. The AURA inside reflected the old Kolkata charm. I ordered for Chicken thali and loved their presentation. Water was served in a 'maatir bhaar' and the rest you can refer to the image, missed to click the 'aamer chutney'. I can say just hop in anytime for a perfect meal in a pocket friendly price. Came to know their Biryani is real good too.

I asked for (Bhat,Dal,aloo bhaja,potol er dorma,mochar ghonto,muri ghonto and Chicken kosha).You can try out fish curries as well!

One of the Oldest Places in North Kolkata.
It is located near Aminia, Hatibagan.
It's neither a hotel nor a restaurant. It's just a road side dhaba kinda eatery, where you just can not much about the ambience .
They serve a lot of dishes including Biryani , Chap Tadka, rumali , tikiya masala and so on.
I simply love their

and Rumali Rotis .
Pros-
▪Extremely Good Food.
▪At such Reasonable Price.
▪Hygiene is maintained to some extent.
▪Quantity is decent.
▪Take away is available.
Cons-
▪They don't have AC.
▪They have a small congested seating arrangements which one may not like.
▪Not a place to sit and have food over there for very sophisticated ppl. (Depends completely on how big foodie you are!)
▪No online delivery option is available as per my knowledge.
But yes, honestly it's a MUST VISIT place for all the Biryani Lovers.

Best cheap place to eat Bengali food..which are also delicious... we ate katla Posto,chicken kasha and veg thali..plz go for it...

My favourite food place for Biriyani and Tikiya. I can assure you one thing, mutton tikiya of this hotel is one of the best you will have in Kolkata. Just amazing 😍😍.
In lunch you will get various types of fish chicken mutton along with traditional Bengali dishes and rice.
In the evening you will get biriyani, tikiya, tadka, chap etc.
The quality is awesome. Very few hotels can maintain quality for such a long time. Whether you have bengali dishes or mughlai the quality is just awesome.

The food excellent but the place is too cramped to sit and no air conditioning so hot.
Can experience several types of fish curry including chiken and mutton preparations.
Better to take away and have the food at some other place.
Mocha preparation was excellent 👌.
A typical Bengali food hotel. Good taste of dishes. Always crowded. Good behavior of staff. Cash and Card both mode of payment available. Rush in early if you want all kinds of fish to be available.
Very very good quality food available in this place, variety they provide in fish is commendable, the service is exceptional and cost is fair as per quality. Rice quantity is questionable but can be overlooked

Outstanding food junction in Hatibagan. If you are in Hatibagan area and looking for lunch solutions in Bengali style, then you need to come down to Hotel Priya. Hotel Priya is located opposite side of Faria Pukur lane and Kinnar Kinnori. I usually take rumali roti with mutton kosha. This is absolutely outstanding. This is not upscale or family restaurant, bit cozy. Daily office public, medical representatives usually takes lunch here. Food quality is outstanding. Price isn't cheap as food quality is really good. you can Bengali thali with fish, dal, rice, alu vaja or any vaja. Chicken and Mutton kosha also there as well. When you visit here, please take roti with mutton kosha. In the evening, you can get Mutton Biriyani, Mutton chap, rumali roti, chicken bharta, chicken kosha etc. I must say, food ia really good here.
Good food ,lots of varieties of fish preparation,price is reasonable.space is very short,sitting arrangement is not much comfortable.Otgerwise it is good for lunch and dinner in a very simple and basic way.
The good old charm of North kolata.... Calling it 'hidden gem' might sound like exaggeration and i might be biased due to the old memories around this place, but given a chance i would always like to give it a shot.
PS: Mutton chaap is a must try.
